For my daughter's 21st birthday her bf wanted to do a fun cake. He did some research on google to get some ideas, he found what he wanted and brought it to JG. If they didn't kill it. A drunk Barbie puking glitter and sprinkles, one of her shoes is on her hand and the cake is adorned with mini bottles of tequila. The attention to detail was awesome. Oh, and the chocolate cake with buttercream was delicious. Great job guys. read more

I needed a chocolate cake so I stopped in and wanted one of everything lol. Lucky for me, there was a display case filled with various cakes for purchase. I got the chocolate cake with chocolate mousse. It was very moist and airy and tasted great. Everyone loved it. They also do special orders and custom cakes and had an album with beautiful samples. Also picked up the jelly donut and chocolate chip cookie - both were awesome. They have an assortment of baked goods, cakes, cookies etc. The girl who took care of me was fantastic too and the shop was well organized. Go ahead and stop in! This quaint shop offers beyond amazing pastries, desserts and various food items. The owners are seasoned confectioners and pour their hearts and souls into everything they make while enjoying every minute of it. Service with a smile is always adhered to although more than likely you will receive full blown laughter. It is owned by 2 best friends who strive for perfection in all they make. The BEST bakery in Toms River ! Has a variety of choices including Italian pastries , cakes , donuts , cookies , crumb cake and even stuffed breads! The stuffed bread is amazing ( buffalo chicken, pepperoni and cheese , chicken parm , chicken parm with vodka sauce and sausage and peppers). The breads are stuffed to the brim with meat ---one slice is very filling ! I have had stuffed breads from many Italian deli and specialty stores which disappointed me with the amount of filling (more bread than meat). JG bakery does not skimp on the filling. I first attended a party where they did the cake (wine themed), it was as delicious as it was amazingly decorated. Now I really can't say enough good things about this adorable little shop and the amazing pastries. Sfogliatellas (Lobster Tails) are my ABSOLUTE favorite!! Super helpful and friendly staff! My fiance has been emailing the owner to no avail and he was finally able to reach her by phone on the week of my wedding. She made my fiance call the town to try to obtain a permit and did not even attempt to call. I was planning to pay a decent amount for a wedding and she asked if the venue workers can scoop ice cream to my wedding coordinator. The business owner then told my fiance that the wedding coordinator told her to have my fiance call the town for a permit, which this is a blatant lie because my wedding coordinator called me with concerns as a vendor typically will deal with parking. They asked if me and my fiance can help during our wedding to guide them in or assist with parking and if they couldn't find parking it would eat into our paid time. We have other vendors where this is not a problem. The location was discussed when it was agreed upon. If I could give zero stars I would because my wedding is this week. She also charges my credit card without authorization as she did not finalize parking and did not email if she was coming to the event due to her complaining about the parking, mind you this is two days before the wedding Baked bear is amazing and I had more professionalism and organization in one phone call compared to this horrible experience.

I went to JG Desserts for the first time today. What a fabulous experience. The donuts, pastries, cakes, cookies all looked yummy. I bought donuts (jelly, linzer cookies, elephant ears, small turnovers (apple, cherry, blueberry). They were all fantastic. I also purchased two of their pepperoni/provolone breads. Also very good. I haven't tasted all JG has to offer yet, but from what I have had, you can't go wrong with any of the wide variety of goodies they have, and not just sweets.
