We ordered a custom cake from here as a recommendation through another bakery we originally planned to go with but werent availible. The cake we were ordered was a custom printed image on cake. First we aimed for a smaller size than we requested to go bigger. When we received the cake it had bubbles on surface some letters were chopped off and it had a line in the middle. It looked very bad and completely unusable. Had no idea of either of this until she dropped it off and when I called after seeing the cake and asking about these issues she said it was because I asked for bigger size. No update was made no solution was offer whatsoever. It was very upsetting. The cake looked awful and we paid just under $300.for it I would not recommend this vendor for custom items. read more

When my husband and I went for our cake tasting for our wedding, we were blown away with the number of options we had to choose from. Jessica has such delicious and unique flavors that made it so difficult to choose which one we wanted. Luckily, we were able to choose two different flavors (one for each tier). Our guests were absolutely raving about our cake which is all you can hope for. My family and I were in the area for the Belmar Seafood festival and passed this cute cupcake shop and could not resist but to go inside. This cupcake shop is huge in the inside and too cute. They have pretty tables and chairs and lots of pink everywhere (my favorite color) so I was ecstatic. The girls working the front were sweet and patience while my son took his time picking his flavor. I had a chocolate cupcake with a marble frosting. SO GOOD! The cupcake was fresh and the frosting was the perfect temperature and not overbearing sweet. My son had a vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting with a cute design. The atmosphere inside was just great. We sat down for a while and were able to just enjoy our treat and relax. Can't wait to come back and try some other flavors. P.S. JB Couture Cupcakes did an absolutely lovely job preparing six cupcakes and delivering them for our friend's birthday. Not only were the cupcakes adorable, but our friend said they were also totally scrumptious. I connected with Barbara (who prepares the cupcakes along with her daughter Jess, the owner) through Facebook, where she answered within 20 minutes of my messaging. Luckily, they were able to have the cupcakes ready to go and be delivered with only two days' notice. It was $4 per cupcake, which are very sizeable, along with a delivery fee. Barbara was so sweet, personable, and accommodating when we chatted on the phone. Her and Jess both really put in the effort to have our six cupcakes be beautiful and a true variety. They also included a handwritten note for our friend's birthday with no additional charge. It's worth noting that JB Couture is taking custom orders right now, instead of having cupcakes prepared in a brick and mortar store. What a cute cupcake bakery in Belmar! They also have delicious chocolate chips, a couple variety of other cookies, chocolate cover Oreos, s'mores, and various cute gifts. I bought 5 cupcakes a s'mores, cookie dough, chocolate, blueberry buttercream, and a salted caramel. All were very moist and the icing was delicious. Nothing was too sugary or overly sweet. Just five perfect cupcakes! You can't go wrong which flavor you choose because they were all just so good. I also bought a chocolate chip cookie stuffed with buttercream and it was heaven! Make sure you get some cookies here too. They are just as delicious as the cupcakes! Their cupcakes were also on cupcake wars. They also cater custom cakes and cupcakes. Saw the sign that states we were on Cake Wars so it eas a must stop on and try.. I purchased a Smores cupcakes the icing was very light and tasty and the ganche was rich amd chocolatey but not as plentiful. The staff was vety friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Was on Main Street when I sign a big sign saying that they were on Cake Wars so you know I had to stop in. Cute little shop with a small seating area. I was warmly greeted when I entered and told about the cupcakes and even ice cream options they have. I decided to stick with getting 4 cupcakes, red velvet, cookie dough, cookies and cream and triple chocolate, totaling $14. The cupcakes were 3.50 which is generally what they are, but I was kind of disappointed to see how small they were. I feel like cupcakes I've gotten elsewhere are always bigger. We went to the Belmar restaurant tour and this was the most adorable place when we walked in! Visually it was so my jersey style! Pink, rhinestones, girly glam! Then we walked up to the table where we made our own cake. I chose vanilla cake, salted caramel buttercream, and pink sprinkles. I cannot explain how delicious it was ...it was like fireworks in my mouth! We talked to Jessica's mother who told us about her daughter. Cupcakes are great here, and so are the sugar and chocolate chip cookies as well as the stuffed cookies! I loved the chocolate chip cupcake, the pink confetti cupcake, and chocolate cupcake. The only cupcake I didn't care for was the smores one. The others were excellent and so were the cookies! My only complaint was the stuffed cupcakes should have more stuffing. This cupcake place in absolutely incredible! We stop there with the kids every time we are in Belmar, NJ. The staff are patient, friendly and take the time to make sure you have a great experience. Our favorite cupcakes are the smores, cannoli & plain vanilla cake and chocolate icing. It is the best around and beats anything I every tasted in NYC. The entire main street of Belmar has so much to offer from great restaurants, vintage shops, coffee shops, candy shops and our absolute fav JB Couture Cupcakes. We are very happy with the cupcakes and the services provided. We have done a summer camp that taught our 6 year old daughter how to decorate cupcakes. We attended a birthday party onsite. And finally we had 3 dozen cupcakes made for our daughter's birthday. We had the party at Monster Mini golf, so the cupcakes were monster themed. They were very imaginative and so so cute. My boyfriend and I visited this store when we were in the area on vacation and we loved it. The baker and her mom (I think?) were incredibly sweet and funny, and all the cupcakes looked delicious. Not impressed. After reading reviews about the shop, I was excited to try it. Stopped in today and bought 4 different cupcakes (cannoli, pina colada, s'mores and caramel pretzel). The pina colada was my favorite as it had the most flavor but the other 3 were disappointing. The caramel pretzel was dry and crumbly. The cannoli did not taste like cannoli, it tasted like butter cream. The sales person described all of the cupcakes as being "filled" with various ingredients (chocolate ganache in the s'mores, caramel in the caramel pretzel, etc.) The filling was almost non-existent. At $3.50/cupcake I expected much better. Although the shop was cute and the staff was pleasant and helpful, I will not be returning. I make better cupcakes using Betty Crocker mixes and made from scratch icings. read more

the reason why they are getting two stars is because the staff was so nice.. so their face book page and drove thirty five minutes to get there !! when i walked in this massive bakery there is a tiny little showcase.. first they had one cake in the showcase and less than fifteen different variety of cupcakes.. mind you they are not cheap and when i got home you could tell that some of these were not as fresh as they should be for the price.. i have had much better closer to home [ red bank ] .. i for one will not be going back read more

I stumbled upon this place while walking in Belmar and was sooo excited upon seeing it because cupcakes are my favorite food. When you first walk in, the heavenly scent of delicious cake graces your nose. Right away I was sold. Inside, it is such a cute little shop, and the people working are so nice and pleasant! The cupcakes looked magnificent, and their looks don't even do them justice! The cake is so moist and fluffy and delicious. My favorite part, however, was the icing. This icing is unlike any other icing - it is silky, flavorful, and has just the right amount of sweetness. I might even go as far to say the icing was perfect. My co-host and I had our first grandchild's baby shower there on June 23rd and unprofessional doesn't fully describe the way we were treated. $900 might not be a-lot for them-but that doesn't mean we deserved a sub-standard party room and service. The bathroom was disgusting including the floor, toilet, toilet tank and sink. After complaining we didn't have a place to wash our hands and prep some food-we were told we could use the dirty greasy slop sink. We were handed back a small empty olive jar immediately and told we weren't allowed to keep it there. Naturally my co-host was very upset, and Jessica's response was "I have never been spoken to by a customer like that before" which made my co-host even more upset. So then Jessica called her parents to come-and her father starts bellowing my co-hosts name then chastises her for upsetting his daughter. He then hands me the bill-handwritten on a piece of notebook paper-and demands I pay it now. This is all before the party started. I told him since things were already going sour-I wanted to wait until the end of the party in case we had to re-negotiate. His response-he starts bellowing that I refused to pay and that he was going to cancel the party. The cupcakes they produced did not look or taste like what was presented to us. The chocolate dipped pretzel sticks were stale. The fruit kabobs had very little fruit on them-as if they were stretched out to look like they gave us more kebobs than what we originally were going to get. What bothers me the most? We rented a venue for 30 women and they couldn't even bother to clean the ONE bathroom. REALLY?? read more
