I recently purchased a new home with my sister and we were struggling to find fair/honest quotes and estimates on several home repairs and projects. We've been having problems with flickering lights in parts of our home for the last couple years, and I've had several electricians come and attempt to diagnose and fix the problem, all to no avail. After reading Joey's reviews, I gave him a call and was able to convince him to drive a little further than usual to help us. Had an old, warn-out wall light switch that wasn't working (wouldn't turn the light off) and I was concerned about the potential of a fire hazard with the circuit wiring because of the malfunction. I called four other electricians -- two were "three weeks out" for new work; two never bothered to call back. Initially, three weeks ago, I had contacted Piper Electric. That was a waste of my time as Piper said they would have an electrician contact me. That never happened. I did another search and found Joey at JGH Solutions, called him this morning and explained my problem, he asked me to text him a photo of my panel, which I did along with my address. He said he would stop by at the end of his day, which he did along with a text saying he was 20 minutes out. He was polite, efficient, plus he taught me a couple things about outlets and the panel which I found to be extremely helpful. He trouble shot the problem and resolved it. Joey was remarkable! I reached him this morning and he told me he was swamped, but asked what I needed. I explained that I had 3 outlets not working in my rental home, and he said he could possibly squeeze me in late afternoon. A couple of hours later, he reached out to me as his current job finished early. We set up a time and he was early, so early that I was not there and the tenant, who was unexpectedly at home, did not let him in. So Joey waited until I arrived and got things sorted out with the tenant. One hour later, the job was done, everything worked, and his fee was incredibly reasonable. This older man who came out not only insulted me clearly racial profiling me, after "fixing" the issue then proceeds to blame me for the reasoning of having too many people in my home. I have 2 children and myself in a 2 bedroom apartment that is clearly standard. For the record not all latino families have 20 people living together. Thank you for ruining my day. Clearly customer value is not your goal. And also thank you for belittling me at the beginning of my day in my home just because you are unhappy in your own life. We live in a 100 year old house and it needed several changes. Joey did a service box replacement outside so that circuit breakers will get tripped in case of a short, so the outdated service box is no longer a fire hazard. We also gained the ability to switch over to a portable generator in case of an extended power outage in the future. Joey also bypassed a redundant sub-box inside the kitchen...in order to streamline the circuit mapping. Even though Joey doesn't typically work in my area (Highlands Ranch), he sent someone down to assist us with the install of our new EV charger since we were referred to him. After the install, our breaker kept tripping so we gave Joey a call and he came out of his way from up north on his day off right away to see what was going on.
