Wowzer ! Where to begin? The customer service? The workout? The layout? Sooo much good stuff…read morehappening here! Last night we were driving and BF spotted this place and Googled it. We read the reviews and watched some videos about Orangetheory Fitness. Needless to say we liked what we saw, so I contacted them today to try a free class (yes! Who doesn't love a free first class?!?). I was told to come in about 45 minutes prior to my scheduled class time. I arrived and was greeted happily by the ladies at the front desk. Natasha was the one who gave me a tour, talked to me about how the workouts typically go, asked me about my goals and my "why?", and discussed options for class packages. She was very personable, answered my questions, and shared my enthusiasm for my short and long term goals! All the ladies at the front desk were very nice and seemed happy to be there! Now, the equipment. This facility uses treadmils, the water powered row machines, TRX cables, dumbells, medicine balls, bosu balls, and the small benches. The equipment they use is HIGH quality. The treadmill absorb a lot of shock, so it is easier on your knees and joints. And who doesn't love a fun TRX workout ;) So the workout session itself is about 60 minutes in length. It consists of cardio and strength training and give you a total body workout! Before the class started, I was given a heart rate monitor. They input your hight, weight, age, and gender. There is a BIG TV screen in the workout area to watch your heart rate. The goal is to be in the "burn zone" (orange color on the screen). You can watch your heartrate, calories, BPM, and color zone while working out. The theory is to be in the orange zone for 12-20 minutes to get your body to continue to burn calories up to 36 hours post workout! They explain it better than me haaha. I'm trying though! Omar was the trainer for the class I attended. He asked who was a first time visitor and took us all into the workout room and showed us the most effective way to row and how to read the numbers on the row machine and TV screen. The workouts are never the same. So everytime you go in it will be different, which is a huge plus! Ours consisted of treadmill intervals, rowing intervals, ab work, TRX exercises, and dumbells. It's done in intervals, so by the time you're maxing out, you switch to a new exercise! Omar was very helpful and gave a demonstration for each exercise and would walk the floor and make corrections and answer any questions. The music and the environment make it go by fast! This workout will make you feel the burn! The best part, you get a report of your performance after EVERY workout! I know HOW much I burned and how long I was in each zone and what my average and max heartrate was. This is a great tool to monitor your fitness level and see where your improving, instead of just looking at a scale. This place is amazing! I will be back! I'll get pics next time too!

I scheduled a class at this location and was turned away for arriving late, despite the class not being fully booked. I've attended classes in multiple cities and have never experienced this policy being enforced in this manner. What made the situation especially frustrating was that this was a Saturday, and this location only offers one class on Saturdays. After making plans around attending, being denied entry was extremely disappointing and felt unnecessarily rigid, particularly when there was still space available in the class. While I understand the importance of maintaining class standards, this experience felt inconsistent with what I've experienced at other locations. Based on this interaction, I would strongly encourage local residents to carefully consider whether this location's customer service approach aligns with their expectations before committing to a membership.

Crew Fitness will offer you your first class for free, which also made the decision to go even easier. The indoor rowing class alternates between rowing intervals on the rower and body-sculpting movements off of the rower. Each class is 45 min of a low impact, high intensity work out. I would compare it mostly to a spin class setting because lights are turned down while on the rowers, and the music is loud and energetic throughout the entirety of the class. What's also great is that classes at Crew Fitness are designed for everyone at all different fitness levels. Also, you can either book your classes online on their website, or download their app which is super convenient! For my first class I had Amy as my instructor. Amy also gave me a tour of the facility which included men's and women's showers and restrooms, a locker room area to place your belongings, and a child care room that is open during the morning and early afternoon class sessions. Weights, mats, and towels are also provided by Crew Fitness, so all you have to bring is yourself and some water! Amy was extremely helpful in showing me how to properly set myself up on the rower, and even went over some technique moves so I would feel more comfortable and understand some of the lingo before the class started. After participating in more classes with a variety of instructors, I've come to learn that the staff and instructors there are all super nice, supportive, and welcoming. There are 5 classes offered at different times of the day on Monday-Thursday, and 1 Saturday morning class every week. You can purchase class packages or participate in monthly class memberships. Some of the packages can be pricey if you're wanting to go often. On the low end, a single class is $20 and at the high end, an unlimited monthly membership will run you $150 a month. However, Crew Fitness is always running specials and deals that you can check out on their social media and website. And if you're like me and fall in love with Crew Fitness, a workout I can finally enjoy, it will be worth every penny! Lastly, another great thing I've enjoyed learning about Crew Fitness is their involvement in the Mobile community. Crew Fitness has been known to fundraise and row for local charities and help support and promote other local small businesses in the area. Whether you're trying to find a new workout routine or just add some variety to your current one, definitely check out Crew Fitness for a high-engery and full-body workout!

No one has ever had an issue with checking her in that way. She goes today on her lunch break and asks to be checked in manually and the guys says "what's wrong with your app?" And she said "nothing, I just don't have a phone right so I've been checking in manually" and he said that club4 "doesn't allow that" and you are 'required' to have the app to scan the barcode. Said she will only be able to check in manually a hand full of times and after that she will "have to get her phone fixed." I'm sorry.....are you going to pay to fix the phone? This is pathetic. After seeing the other reviews of this location I'm not surprised. We called the Schillinger location and spoke with a manager to ask if this was a thing and he said that she can check in however she wants to and does not need the app. Said he has never heard of 'only being able to check in manually a hand full of times' and that he guy was making it up. The staff here need to be trained correctly apparently. Update: she went back again yesterday. The same guy 'Jeff' was upfront and she tried to check in and he said "why do we continue to do this with you again?" And she said "can you just check me in please?" And he said "yea that's not how this works." So she left and he said "have a good night"

It's the main reason I joined. I'm a little competitive *winking emoji* and I love any challenge so I like the classes, alot! I'm like 5:15am classes, most of them are virtual, hopefully they will add more live instructors as they grow. They offer a variety of classes by Les Mills from Yoga and RPM ( Spin) to HITT classes like Grit and BodyPump. They offer the same at the new location in Schillinger, however the classroom here is smaller and there are not as many live instructors as Schillinger but the virtual classes are great because they are skilled, trained, and have incredible endurance and strength. They push you beyond your limits and they also provide tips for form and a for metabolic overload. Most popular classes are BodyPump, Zumba, BodyAttack (Schillinger) and BodyStep (Schillinger). I'd love to see them add BodyStep and BodyAttack to the Hillcrest location. They are 5:30pm classes at Schillinger and 40 or 50+ people will pack the class so it's best to arrive early, if you can. The live classes fill quickly so it's best, if you like a class, go to the app and schedule for each class a least two weeks in advance. I've only been bumped once for classes over capacity and they apologize and offer an alternative class. The gym floor with cardio and weight equipment placement is, in my opinion, congested. The stations are on top of each other so I usually come Sunday or early am if I plan to use the gym floor cardio or weight training equipment. Customer service is stellar. The front desk is helpful, friendly and Beth Reeves responds to every inquiry from the feedback section of the app. She is very responsive and helpful. I think she even teaches a class or two at the Schillinger location. I don't use the daycare but it is available for an additional fee. The gym is clean, bright and I can say enough about all the instructors and staff. I love the red light therapy, I can tell the difference after a strenuous workout. The light is bright and warm. I'm choose 12 minutes with eye protection 3 days a week. Ready to get back at it. Check 'em out!! This is the gym for every body.

Super informative and helpful when deciding on which class to try! Since rowing classes are my new obsession, I was super excited to try a class at Mission Fitness. Mission Fitness offers a special to try your first class for free, so I decided to try a Saturday morning Core Row class taught by Rachel. I've taken a ton of rowing classes, but this was my first class on a WaterRower. The machines were gorgeous and fun to row on! For the Core Row class, we spent the first part of the class on the rower, the second part on mats working on our core, and got back on the rowers for the third part of class. Rachel was great at keeping everyone energized, motivated, and smiling throughout the workout. We even split the class into two groups and had a fun competition at the end of the class. Team Cab vs. Team Merlot (Go team Cab!) So glad I went to this class, and I definitely look forward to trying other classes from Mission Fitness in the future!
