JH smokers is one of the best people to deal with when it comes to building your custom smoker. From anywhere from patio models all the way up to the big trailer models. J h smokers are very tentative to your needs and wants and the looks that you want in your smoker. The build quality is second to none. And the way these smokers cook is also top-notch!

I had my pit made in 2018 and it hasn't given me a single problem. I love it. The price was very fair and with all the extras and upgrades I wanted on the pit they even hooked me up with some things that were really nice that I hadn't planned on getting. Very nice people and very easy to do business with. The pit holds temperature great and I couldn't be happier with it. I've cooked family dinners, catered weddings, done pop ups and the pit has not let me down once. My only wish is that I got it in a bigger size but for right it does it's job and it does it flawlessly. Couldn't say enough good things about it and the job they did on it.

JH Smokers is Awesome! I ordered a custom built Santa Maria Grill from JH after checking out some of the pictures they had of some of the custom work they've done. I was so excited to pick up my grill after just a couple weeks. It looks great! I use it for my catering business when I want to show off and wow the crowd. It is light weight which is great when I load the grill onto the back of my pickup truck by myself and it is sturdy too. I highly recommend these guys! They are very friendly, very accommodating, and a great price for for an awesome grill.

JH Smokers is amazing, they will NOT disappoint you! I asked for a custom wagon style fire pit for my husbands birthday that will last longer than all those cheap ones. I ordered this in 2019 and its still perfect. We have had well over 200 fires in it. Best $$ i have spent on a gift. We love this fire pit and get sooo many compliments. read more

Excellent...excellent pits! Turn around time from order to delivery is very short compared to other custom pit builders out there. The quality and pride shows in every detail of their work. I absolutely love my 5'x24" reverse flow octagon! It runs like a dream, it's so easy to use. Temps are dead even across the grate too. They're just well thought out, well designed and beautifully built rigs. I can't say enough good about them. read more

These smokers are the best available. I absolutely love mine. I regularly cook for 75-100 people at work with mine and have no problem holding temps and hitting the results I aim for. Quality is top notch and I would highly recommend a JH Smoker to anyone wanting to up your culinary prowess. read more

There are a couple of things I'd do differently if I were to do it again and It took a little gettin' used to, but overall i'm extremely happy with my purchase. I just wanted to stop by and take a second to say how bad ars I think Justin is!! I have been working in the food and beverage industry now going on 30 years and have owned and operated my own catering company (http://foodperfected.com/) now for about 18. For the record I love to smoke and people are always requesting it from me so i knew i had to get a bigger rig if i was going to satisfy everyone, the catch is I work all the time and don't have a lot of down time or I would have been here sooner writing this 6 months ago! I digress, as i was saying, I am just so fired up over the rig Justin put together for me it serves every function i need it too! In truth, we had been talking about it off and on for a number of months whenever a film would wrap what have you and the main design changed a number of times over the course of that period but Justin hung in there and once we settled on the one for me (an offset smoker w/ revers flow, accompanied by an old school Santa Maria) his end result so surpassed my expectation I could cry now just talking about it! She is gorgeous and I had to name her "Rose" after my Grandmother or "the Beast" for short, if I could share a foto beleive you me I would but take my word for it, if you hire Justin you wont be sorry, his craftsmanship is top shelf and his attention to detail is so on point he even added mag wheels because they looked better aesthetically and conceptually speaking, oh and not to mention built the frame to perfectly fit in my garage, I could go on and on but I think you get the point! Noemi promised cleaning top to bottom and every knock and cranny. She talked about a "ghost buster vacuum" and would vacuum the top of our cabinets and hutches. The company sent me a contract that listed what they would do. In the contract the utility room was listed. The crew of 5 cleaned the light fixtures, dusted the furniture, cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen and mopped the floors. When the crew finished and left, I checked their work. The top of the cabinets weren't vacuumed, the top of door jams were dirty, top of hutches dusty, top of curtain rods dusty, under the couch cushions full of debris. And the utility room wasn't touched. I called Noemi to express my concerns and after several attempts I got through. When I expressed my concerns Noemi said that couches aren't covered in the cleaning and utility room cleaning wasn't an oversight. She only admitted to not vacuuming the cabinets after I told her I had gotten up there to check. Overall, the crew did a fair job cleaning, but they didn't deliver on the deep cleaning top to bottom every knock and cranny. They also had poor customer service when any concerns were voiced. I also questioned the company's ethics by not honoring the items on the contract. Had I not gotten on the ladder and checked the tops of furniture and cabinets I would have believe that they cleaned it. They were willing to get paid for work not done. After all the back and forth, they first said they would send a crew to finish the work. Then there was a medical emergency and they couldn't send anyone. A few days later, I get and email from them that because I was"hostile" they would give me a discount if $100, which I never asked for a discount, but not going to send anyone to finish the work. In my experience, they promised a lot but did not deliver. They don't stand by their work or their contract.

Absolutely can't say enough good things about my pit and JH Smokers. Justin built exactly what I wanted...A double axle, reverse flow trailer with a Santa Maria grill on the front end. Not only does this look like a work of art, it cooks like one as well, FLAWLESSLY. My 6' barrel holds temp all the way across, so no hot spots. His reverse flow design has cut my cook times by nearly 50%, but still leaves me with the best offset smoker flavor that money can buy. No more all night cooks for me. Justin is a stand-up guy and will treat you right. I drove 5 hours each way to talk to him about a smoker and then again to pick mine up. That was 20 hours well spent. I'm fortunate enough now to only have to drive 20 minutes to get any work done by Justin. If you're even remotely thinking about getting a pit, do yourself a favor and give Justin a call. I use my Santa Maria at least 3 times a week if not more. My only regret is I wish I bought the drop in for my BBQ island. Love it.

Well you didn't have anyone local to me in Hurst, but in a nearby city, Grapevine. Called ahead to find out the particulars. Sounded reasonable and family owned. Drove out, was given an estimate on parts and labor. Was thinking if it costs more than a new mower, will donate it on Nextdoor. Nope. She told me what parts would cost, and a service that included oil change, blade sharpening and fix the broken items. Came out way ahead. Um, 3 weeks turn around though. But they had a bazillion customer mowers out front in intake and outbound, so I expected it, and had a back up mower ready, and a lawn service I call time to time when I just feel like giving my son a rest. 3 weeks pass, I get a call on the exact day. Mower is ready. Drive out, mower starts one pull, no noise, looking like a new mower ready to cut some grass. paid my moolah, they loaded it up for me, and I could not have been more pleased. So thanks to the awesome family that owns and operates Gary's for offering honest service at a value. Not common these days to find one of those, let alone both. Also, thanks to you Yelpers that posted great reviews. One of you, Mark W. gave me a heads up on the turn around time, so even at 3 weeks, I wasn't caught off guard and knew what to expect. Not many small engine repair shops in business with mowers and such being made to throw away these days, and to buy a new one is usually cheaper than repairing. We live in a disposable society, we ourselves create and perpetuate. So I expect those few in business will be swamped and take more time to get to me.
