I met Juan through Angi's and I am so thankful that I did. I originally wanted the contractors to fix a poor DIY job I had done to patch some drywall. They wanted $500 to replace the job but Juan took a look at my pictures and offered $150 dollars instead to smoothen out the wall. He definitely could also recommended a full drywall patch job but instead recommended a more efficient job (and saved me money in the meanwhile!). Their lack of response is very unprofessional. They came onsite for a consultation 6/24/22 and said they'd send the quote the next day. After two weeks of not receiving the quote (and i did check my inbox, spam and deleted items folder), I called Juan H Ramirez who did the consult to follow up on 7/5/22. He said he would send the quote later that day. I didn't receive it on 7/6/22, so I left a message and email (jhr@jhrcolorsyourworld.com). There was no response to either. I called again on 7/7/22 and still no response. I do NOT recommend going through this company at all if they are like this before a project even begins! read more

I wanted to give Juan a great review, he and his family did work hard to do the painting. However, he did not complete the work and charged extra for a bathroom that was initially quoted. I had my windows replaced and he was consulted, he indicated that he could easily do the work, we spoke multiple times prior to him starting the job. The job required the refitting of crown modeling and he was not prepared for this, despite specifically indicating my concern. He did actually go and buy a new saw to complete the project, however, clearly his first attempt at doing this. The corners are not aligned with the drywall and a small insert placed. He indicated he would come back to look at it multiple times but continued to cancel. 3 months later it still looks terrible and he has not contacted me to repair the poor craftsmanship. He really is a nice guy and did some reasonable work, however, spending that much money and he left the reason he was contracted unfinished and looking terrible. It indicates to me that he does not respect his work or my home. It is appropriate that Juan you would respond a year after the review. I appreciate that you purchased a brand new miter saw, not knowing how to make cuts. All of the seams are flaked and I still need to correct the misaligned crown molding. Once work was scheduled his workers arrived on time and prepared with tools and supplies needed to complete the job. They covered floors and doors with paper and plastic to keep the dust contained to the area of work. They wore mask and gloves, worked efficiently and cleaned up everything when the job was complete. Purchased a home in Chicago in March 2020. My boyfriend was coming down the stairs and slipped on a turn, when he grabbed onto the railing for support it ripped out of the wall (see photos). Luckily he was not hurt seriously. Contacted Juan to come look at the wall for repair and he quickly realized that almost all of the railing brackets (over 20 on four different floors) were drilled into the drywall, not the studs, and thus a safety issue. Unfortunately the inspection report made no comment on this but once Juan pointed it out I could see multiple bracket footings bulging out of dry wall. Again, while my boyfriend wasn't seriously injured as he was on a landing this could have been much more serious if someone tried to grab onto railing on one of the steeper section of my stairs. Anyways, I won't go into too much detail, but Juan and his team worked with me to find the safest way to repair all the existing hand railing mounted into the wall without having to change everything. The railing is now all secure in place with brackets in the studs and as you can see in the photos below their patch work & paint job on over 20 brackets that had to be re-positioned was wonderful. The price was also quite reasonable. Now going to have them work on an unfinished room next and will definitely continue to use them for my home repair needs. read more
