But what I loved even more was that he was honest with me! I asked if he felt there would be black mold forming in my situation and he told me he didn't really think so. Thank you for being honest! Ultimately, I decided that there were still seam lines that didn't look good and I had a hole in my ceiling that needed to be fixed. So I hired him. He came by and went straight to work... he taped off absolutely everything so that no dust could escape the working area. And by the time he was done, he took the tape down and the ceiling looked like nothing had ever happened to it. The paint was perfect and he even went so far as to call some areas so that the lines could be straight and look right. Finally, there was a misunderstanding about payment. The owner was going to pay by Zelle but had a block on her account. So I had to write a check. Salvador offered to come back to get the check! Amazing! I told him I had to go but that I'd leave the check in the mailbox and then... I FORGOT . I felt about an inch tall. He drive 40 minutes round trip to NOT get a check. So I told him I'd have it the next day and would drive it to him. Yet he insisted he would do the drive AGAIN to get paid. I needed walls, doors, baseboards all done and we were able to settle on a fair price and I scheduled for the following week since I was also getting my floors buffed and stained. During this time, Edgar recommended some paint colors and he was able to provide a COI as required by my building. It was easy to get a hold of him via text and he was always prompt in responding. Edgar arrived with all supplies (tarp, paint, caulk, rollers etc) as we had agreed upon. He spent the majority of the first day in patching and repairing and setting up for the actual paint job. The next day I stopped by to see the progress and I certainly appreciated his attention to detail. Edgar worked alone since his crew was on another job site but it didn't matter since I was in no rush and he ended up doing a great job by himself. And yes they are not just painting! Matt took pictures and gave me a pdf report with pictures and a full description of what would be done in every area. The estimate was great. Gerardo was so fast with email response time, and he was the ONLY company that could come and see the place that same day I called him. We scheduled for him to come to our place at 5PM (to provide an estimate) and he was on time! He came in, was very friendly, and walked around to see what work we were looking to get painted, and left. Later that evening, he was the only one that sent me an email with a quoted estimate. I asked him for an estimate for labor only, and then with paint. He provided both estimates! After reviewing multiple quotes, I decided to go with Excellence Painting because I felt that Gerardo, from the beginning, was very professional, and responded in a timely fashion! I felt I could count on him and his crew! He was also very competitively priced!!! The next day, Gerardo stopped by the place, and helped me finalize paint colors based on what I was looking for.
