Inside there is a wide open space with an atrium above supported by hunched figures. One hallway has some great historic photos of Jacksonville. You have to go through security to get in, but its worth a visit. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any downtown maps, walking history tour information, or even a prominently displayed history of the building itself!!! Come on J-ville, feature your beautiful architectural history!!! The hallway with photographs has an image of the building with other buildings including a hotel that were in the area before the great fire.

City Hall is located across the street from Hemming Plaza. You're going to have to park on the street and feed a meter (unless you have a handicapped parking permit in which case you can park for free and aren't required to feed the meters). Parking can be quite hard to find downtown, so bring some patience with you. I remember being amazed the first time I walked into City Hall because I wasn't expecting the inside of the building to be so beautiful. It's so large and clean. I was and still am very impressed with the way the COJ keeps City Hall maintained. It is a government building, so make sure not to bring in any weapons. I really shouldn't have to say that, but I know some people do have a concealed license permit and they carry them. It can be a little confusing to navigate the building, but there are plenty of people around to help you find the office you are looking for.

Dr. Witten validates your tickets, so you don't have to pay. It's a very old garage and very tight parking. The 80 year old Lady in the booth always makes a comment about his office and the patients who park there. She says we never know how to scan the validated ticket. Not nice at all. Very cranky lady. I am sorry to say this, but it's true. So, I don't know if I'll ever park in this garage or not. I'd rather walk a mile, but it was raining the day I came.

We stumbled upon this garage, and were pleasantly surprised to see parking was $5 per hour, which is pretty nominal, especially when there's an event going on. Parking was breeze, we grabbed our ticket, we were able to get ground floor parking, and it was a short walk to the Times Union Center. Leaving the structure was just as easy. We submitted our ticket, paid with a card, and were on our way. THe best part was there wasn't a traffic jam getting out of the lot.

An attendant came out and asked me to pay cash which I don't carry. He then wanted me to handover my debit card but wouldn't tell me how much he was going to charge me. I kept asking $8? (Which I was willing to pay) but he wouldn't respond. Just kept asking for my card. He called his manager on a flip phone and had a conversation but when I asked for the phone so I could ask the man the simple question HOW MUCH there was no one on the line. He finally let me out. I reported to it the local police.

Nearly double our rates during Covid and do nothing to the garage for upkeep. They need to paint the parking spot lines as well. You can't see the lines. This is city owned and operated and can't be touched. I'll be glad when I don't have to pay for parking anymore. If your late, they charge you $40.00 late fee. Not good. Thank God, I've never been late.

Even on busy days, there are still plenty of spaces open, you just have to drive higher to find them. (Obviously, if you drive a compact car, you have a better chance to find a more convenient spot near an elevator.) Priced reasonably, $4 for one hour, an additional $4 for the second hour but no more than $10 total. If you are on jury duty, the fee is waived with proof of jury summons. If you are an employee, you can get special monthly rates. The ground floor of the garage houses a few restaurants and cafes, convenient to the courthouse. Also, I have used this garage for free during Downtown's Art Walk (1st Wednesday of the month), but only one access door is open in the evening then, and it's the one that faces Clay Street.

The dispensaries opens at 9 am, not sure what time the coffee shop opens. One reason for minus one star is sadly the homeless people that live and sleep in the area. Second reason is the Landlords raising the rent so high, they've lost about the 1/4 of tenants. How sad and tragic. The biggest loss is Bogers Shoes and Mixed Fillings Pie Shop. Pros:cars let pedestrians cross at the crosswalk. Great stores on the strip. Cons:Homelessness and Landlord disputes with former tenants. Parking can be difficult. Recommend:yes

Five Points is a cool collection of restaurants, bars, and shops and a popular spot to gather for…read morethose in the Jacksonville, Florida area. The name comes from it is where five roads intersect. It is a hip enclave that draws an eclectic collection of people. It is a great destination if you are in the Jacksonville, Florida area. I love these cool enclaves that give a city a personality. We need these neighborhoods where people can gather and just chill and meld together to be what is beyond a bunch of people, they become a community. Five Points is a cool enclave and I would definitely recommend heading here.
