Soft, fresh and fluffy dough.
Freshly ground pork mince with the perfect blend of herbs and seasoning.
No gristle or large chunks of fat.
The temperature of the pork buns are kept at a heat warm enough that they don't overcook and cool enough not to be scolding hot.
In the pork bun is a very tasty fat which is just divine.
I also had the steamed beef bun which doesn't have the tasty fat, so that's why the pork bun is my favourite.
The shop very traditional in its decor and menus. There was nothing written in English.
Thankfully, the person who served me could speak English.
There were also full meals and Chinese drinks available. None of that mattered, just give me the pork buns!!!
At $1.50 a pork bun, easily and without a doubt they are the absolute King of pork buns in Auckland!
I order five and scoff them all down. Next time I go I'll get some pork dumplings. read more
