Not to mention, they are incredibly affordable! They begin by soaking your feet in tea, and serving you hot jasmine tea and cookies. Then, 50 minutes of bliss! The decor is simple, but clean. I like this place typically for a massage, but they refused to do a massage on me when I was pregnant. I have been to other Asian massage places and they have me lie on my side. The St Regis and Marriott hotels will do deep tissue massages and bring in a pregnancy pillow. I think it's ridiculous to refuse massaging pregnant women. I'm highly disappointed. read more

This is not the relaxing massage where you get to read and fall asleep - it hurts but it is supposed to. I walked in with a lingering headache that I have had for weeks and walked out without it. Okay, I've always love Jiao, I go a few times a month but I had THE worst experience there yesterday. I did a 30 min foot massage and 30 min full body massage. Foot massage was pretty good except my therapist was falling asleep the entire time, same thing with my full body. Full body was by far the worst massage I have ever received. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I recommend the 1 hour foot massage and hope your therapist doesn't fall asleep. I'm one of those people that don't typically frequent these foot massage establishments. Usually it's my gf or a friend who wants to go and I accompany them and that's probably twice, maybe three times a year. Not to say I don't enjoy them but I always considered this a cheap 1hr getaway with zero long term benefit. My gf and I happened to be at a restaurant next door and saw a sign for two for $40 Wednesdays. Never been here before but for $20 a pop, why not. Turns out, it's probably the best $20 we spent. First, this place is clean. Paint looks fresh and in a decent color, chairs and curtains are well maintained, the decoration is high class. This is very different from the places you may see on Buford Hwy with cruddy chairs, stained ceiling tiles, walls with chipped paint. Ambiance is adequate with mood lighting and Chinese massage music. Second, the layout. The place is like a long tunnel. The chairs are lined along one wall so that you will never be in a chair staring at the back of a head in front of you. You see the opposite wall with pictures and paintings instead. Also, the tunnel allows the chairs to be placed away from the front door that could be noisy with people going in and out. Last and most importantly, the massage. Now I'm not sure if it's because I'm an Asian male but buddy who gave me my massage was rough. Asians typically like their massages strong so I guess that's what he figured I wanted. He put just about all his strength into my feet. He found spots on feet that were clicking around, probably tense muscles and tendons, and really worked them. I like to think that I have an above average tolerance for pain but man, this guy made me cringe. I didn't stop him because I thought "now I'm getting my money's worth". My gf was jealous because she prefers a stronger massage and she saw how much effort dude was putting into my feet unlike her guy. Again, I never had a foot massage that I felt had a long term impact. It's great for the time you get them rubbed but as soon as you put your shoes on and take the first step, it seems like nothing happened. This time it was different. It was actually painful and yet relaxing at the same time. It's been two days and my feet still feel like they're on fire but it's also like walking on clouds. Maybe the massage got my tense spots fixed or blood flow to my feet increased or it killed my nerve endings. Who knows. What I do know is that my feet still feel different in a good way. The other thing to note is that my guy did something that I didn't see any other patron receive. He had me sit upright on the ottoman and did some chiropractic work. Cracked my back, my sternum and neck. Again, this could be an Asian perk. I asked the dudes name but I don't think he understood what I was saying. Never did get his name. He's a bald guy with glasses and wore scrubs. Anyway, the reason for the high marks is mainly due to the massage. It's head and shoulders above other places for the looks, layout and cleaniness but the massage was the main "wow" factor for me. I guess the old adage "no pain, no gain" applies to foot massages. You probably don't have to be an Asian dude to get this treatment but you may have to ask for it. read more

For my girlfriends birthday, we decided to try Jiao for an hour foot massage. I Love Love this place! I often go to a foot massage place on Buford Hwy. The massage at Jiao is 10 times better. We did not have a reservation but were seated quickly. It was a firm reflexology massage. Oh my god, it was so firm, I thought I would see stars. I play a lot of tennis so my feet are often sore. I feel amazing now. It was the most relaxing yet painful massage I have ever had. My girlfriend also had a great experience. She seemed very relaxed when we left. However, her massage did not seem as firm as mine. My only complaint is that after the foot massage is over, they move to your head and shoulder area. The therapist put on a mask. It seemed odd. Plus, I wish I would have been told to remove my jewelry before. Wednesday is 2 for $40 1 hour foot massages. I can't wait to go back. read more

Absolutely wonderful massage. I will be back PROS: The decor is very serene and relaxing, the tea and cookie was nice, the masseuse was kind, the chair very relaxing, I actually went to sleep a couple of times during the massage, My feet felt WELL cared for -even though there was a bit of pain in one area.. the masseuse seemed to sense this and went over it more gently.. but didn't avoid it so that by the time I left there was no more pain. Just the right amount of pressure everywhere. Also, the purchase 10 get one free card! He wasn't chatty and the whole thing just felt professional. The price of $35 for an hour was excellent! I honestly did not want him to stop so I may have to pay more for longer than an hour. I rarely want a massage that long lol CON: Head and shoulder massage after the foot massage. It was simply awkward. I wasn't prepare for my head to be touched or my arms. I will simply request that I am not given one next time. This is worth the 30 minute trip! I've been to this establishment about 15 times in the past 9 months, so it's safe to say that I like this place. I have never gone on a Wednesday to take advantage of their 2-for-1 specials, but they look like incredible steals! I always get the 90-minute foot reflexology. I like getting them in the back room because it's less light intrusion and less noise. The overhead music is a bit too loud at times, but I think they did that because of the nearby construction going on. I got a full body massage once but couldn't enjoy it because it was so cold in the room and the walls were really thin, so I could hear everything out in the main area. All the massage therapists have been good except for one (I can't remember his name). They offer you complimentary bottled water or tea, and the last time I went they also had a cookie sitting on my tray with my water, but it was bland and unappealing in taste. The reflexology massages for the hands and feet are so amazing and relaxing, especially if you have sore or strained muscles. And the regular prices are very affordable, which is why I haven't been too pressed about going when they have deals. Amazing place! A friend recommended this place and I didn't realize Sunday's would be busy. When I got there, I couldn't walk-in so made an appointment for an hour later. I did the combo of 30 min feet and 30 min body. I think next time I'll do 30 feet/30 head and shoulders as that's what needs the most attention. I brought my headphones as I read other reviews about the where foot massages are is in the open and a bit loud. Because it was busy, it was a little loud but nothing I couldn't tune out with smooth jazz in my headphones. The 30 min foot was okay, but the 30 min body was great. Only complaint after the foot massage if you have another service that requires you to move rooms, you either have to put your shoes back on or walk bare foot. It would be nice if they offered disposable slippers for the clients that have to move rooms. read more

I walked in close to closing and got a 30 minute foot reflexology. Then when that was so good I asked to add on a 30 minute head and shoulder. Even though it was close to closing they didn't even blink an eye and even offered me tea when I was done. The atmosphere is very soothing and is very clean which was great. Note: If you are looking for a traditional Swedish massage like you get at the spa then this is not it. This style of massage is a bit more intense but you feel amazing. Also as someone else said dont go in with intentions to go out afterwards with your hair looking amazing if you get the head and shoulder as they give you a scalp massage. read more
