I usually don't leave reviews, but I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience here. I lost my wallet during my visit and asked the staff if they could check the security cameras to help me figure out what happened. At first, several employees told me the manager had access to the footage, but when I followed up, I was suddenly told only the owner could view it -- and no one was willing to take any further steps to assist. I understand there may be policies in place, but the inconsistent information and complete lack of concern left a really bad impression. It honestly raises questions -- what are they trying to hide? The refusal to even check the cameras doesn't look good and gives the impression that they're not interested in helping their customers when something serious happens. read more

Visited New York for a month and used jiffy Jeff's in Astoria for my laundry. Wow! Was I impressed. So clean!!! Staff was excellent! So helpful! I have never seen such a clean laundromat in my life! Told my daughter she has to take her laundry here! Will definitely return on my next visit. read more

This place offers terrible service and deserves no business. Starting with chasing after you about the masks (no more mandatory) to attitude about being so busy & having no available machines. The Sunday lady is so awful, I'd never felt to unwelcome in my life. Closest to my home, but never coming back. I'd walk another block. read more

Dear Susan, I'd like to leave some feedback for you on my experience today. My hope is you'll take it and implement some needed changes. Would it be possible for your employees to check all dry cleaning racks thoroughly before giving the manager a call to come in? That way it avoids a trip for you and wasted time on the customer? I've now had my dry cleaning, on three different occasions, placed on the "wrong rack" and told by the employee (a different person each time) that my clothes was not ready or not delivered. I think this simple change could help avoid a call to the dry cleaners, a call to you, and wasted time. It was clear today that you didn't want to receive my feedback in the moment, so I'm sharing it here in hopes that you'll listen. My entire family have been customers for over 8 years. It's frustrating that some of your employees are better than other. Instead of calling in the big guns (you) maybe all employees can be trained to the same level? Some are awesome, others appear more disorganized and overwhelmed. It is an overwhelming job, but a shared level of training would help alleviate their stress. Just a thought! From a fellow Astorian. Hi! So I wanted to leave a review for Jiffy Jeff because they really are a great laundry service. Recently my grandparents had to switch laundromats due to COVID and we were referred to Jiffy Jeff. At first she wasn't sure cause she doesn't like change but it was a great decision. In her words "they are so nice. The clothes are *SPARKLING* and folded perfectly. I started washing my clothing in a laundromat after my drop-off laundromat closed. I am unemployed so I thought I would try washing my own clothes to save money. I read reviews and decided to use this place. The staff showed me how to operate the machines and I was able to buy detergent and dryer sheets at the location. However, you should buy your own as it is cheaper. The place is very clean, but it can get crowded -- just ask the staff best times to go. read more

This place is great! We use it every week. It gets a little crowded around 5pm and on weekends in the afternoon, so watch out for that. Also, the company runs drop-off all day, and sometimes they use more machines then is convenient for the rush hour. Still, there's always at least two machines open when I need them. For one load to wash and dry, I usually spend around 5 bucks. If it's a really big load, maybe $8. The people that work there are friendly and helpful. They also stay out of the way even though they are also running loads. It's a little cramped in there, but that's New York for you. The most important thing to me though, is that it's a clean place with clean machines in a safe area with decent prices. read more

This is the worst laundromat we have ever used. First of all, keep in mind that they are losing things. Every time you give them clothes, they only give back a part of it. Secondly, they are extremely rude and unprofessional. Worst laundromat in Queens. read more

Mediocre service. That really isn't the problem, though. In the middle of the pandemic, they don't ENFORCE the wearing of masks, nor do they enforce social distancing. I have seen employees without masks while talking to customers. To make this place better, I would actually teach the employees to care about customer's safety. read more

today I decided to try jiffy jeff's which is down the block from grand laundromat and cleaners which I normally go to. When I got their, I had to wait 20 min in a virtually empty place. When the attendant finally noticed me, she said in a rude voice "what do you want?" I was put off by this rude employee, but I still asked for drop off. turns out 2.20 a pound if you want cold wash. REALLY!!!! But I thought, maybe the service is really good. When I pick up my laundry, It was just a mess of washed and dryed clothes. This place lost half of my wardrobe and refused to do anything about it. I live right around the corner and used them every week with nothing to complain about. When I picked up my laundry, I commented the bag felt extra light, and was told "that happens when they get washed". Okay, after a few Sunday brunch drinks I figured maybe it was just in my head. When I went in to tell them that literally half of my clothes were missing, I was given the name of the manager, who I have repeatedly called and received no call backs. All I want is for them to recognize their mistake and do something to correct it. Free service for a while, some sort of reimbursement, anything. If this happened I would be happy to continue as their customer. Id rather not take it to small claims court, but that was probably $450 worth of clothes, which I cant afford to replace. This is a nice, clean laundromat with decent prices. It is crowded with employees working on drop-off business. They advertise free wifi, but they do not actually let you use it because everyone, including the manager, claims they do not know the password. Hmmmm. The customer service here is great. However, the dryers are not. I waited a long time for a dryer because one customer decided to throw all of her clothes in several dryers, hogging most of them up. When one was finally available, it took over an hour to dry my clothes. It never takes that long for me as I have fairly delicate materials. Other people complained that they felt no heat coming from the dryers as well. I got frustrated waiting so I took my damp clothes out of the dryer and went home. I ended up laying my clothes on my bed to dry for the next day or two because I couldn't take it anymore! read more

I usually send laundry to Fluff & Fold but decided to give Jiffy Jeff's a try after delivery issues with F & F. I appreciate that they are willing to do your laundry as instructed but it's pricey-it's a $1.10 a pound plus an additional 1.10 a pound for special directions like cold wash. $2.20 a pound adds up quickly. Still, I would pay extra for that option as needed. But they charged $8 for a bath mat that is just a thick towel with no rubber backing. None of the other local places have ever charge extra for that. read more

I have only ever had my laundry dropped off to be cleaned here a handful of times. It is by far the best to do so! The staff is beyond great! And our laundry comes back double bagged(plastic bag then our laundry bag) and smelling like heaven! Definitely my go to place for great service and great smelling clothes!! read more

I went to this laundromat, coz it is close to me house. I will never recommend this place, jiffy Jeff's destroy my coats that are Moncler and super dry. Literally, they ripped the sleeves of my Superdry. And destroy the zipper of my moncler. My fault is I went here and only had check my coats just now coz weather is getting colder. Will post photo for the following review. Also, they do not have machines for dry cleaning they always travel your clothes to somewhere to have it dry clean. They only have washer dryer on the site. For those looking for dry cleaning, you better get services where they dry clean on site. Very poor service. read more

Moved recently to the neighborhood and decided on this Laundromat first. I'm glad I did. Drop off service is very convenient and its same day if dropped in the morning. The staff is so pleasant. Prices are even cheaper than my old place in west harlem. Couldn't ask for a better place to do dry cleaning and laundry. read more

Jiffy Jeff's appears to have survived their transition in staff, and come back strong. Still the best place to do your cleaning on the avenue, and now with an increasingly friendly staff. Recent updates to the dryers and a continued commitment to cleanliness make for a good experience. read more
