Went in to get the oil changed in my 2013 Smart. Less than 50 miles of driving later, found that the engine was struggling and the check engine light came on. Went back to this location and they scanned the codes for me but it felt pretty obvious to me that they had overfilled the oil and it had pushed past the gaskets and fouled my plugs and wires. They managed to suck some of the oil out but the damage was done. Took me over $2K in work to fix. read more

Stay away! I had my oil changed and the oil filter was not screwed in tightly. My car started dripping and then all the oil spilled out. We did not realize due to the way it happened and how it looked that it was the oil. Concerned about driving it, we had our car towed and then looked at. $450 later they said the oil filter had not been screwed in tight enough and eventually all the oil drained out. Is there such a things as negative stars? Avoid this place at all cost! Went there once and had a terrible customer service experience. Car smelled like burning oil afterwards and I could see they spilled oil all over the block. Went there again (don't ask me why) last week. Was told it would be "5 minutes." After 25 minutes of waiting I saw no one running around anymore and two cars, with people inside, in the bay with hoods open. Finally noticed the employees all gathered outside by the coffee kiosk across the parking lot. When I asked if we were going to get service one replied "most of us are on break right now" WTF??? The people in their cars in the bay looked very confused and I just left as did the four cars waiting behind me. The employees dress and look like bums. Although they performed a very quick oil change, I was somewhat disappointed by a service they no longer performed. They use to check your air filter, check your tire pressure and filled them to the correct psi if needed. They use to also clean your front windshield and vacuum the front of your car. I guess they do well in the main service we go there for. Upon checking out I asked about a military discount which I have always received at this location. I was told that they no longer have a military discount. read more

Went in for an oil change, left with a seized engine. One employee lied to my face saying it was my starter. After numerous dead end calls they did replace the engine, only to find out they stripped out/lost bolts for the exhaust manifold. Also missing a cover inside the cab below the dash for some reason. Still waiting to be reimbursed for the 6 days left without a car i had to rent out of pocket. Check engine light came on after 2 1/2 weeks, they are only willing to secure bolts. I had my oil changed- and have been here numerous times in the past. This visit wasn't satisfactory. The two women working on my vehicle were unable to re-attach my skid plate and kept attempting to do so to the extent that I requested they stop as they were doing it incorrectly and I feared they would strip the bolts. A large puddle of oil was left on my hood/front driver side quarter panel- it should have been cleaned up. The woman who was the lead attendant was very rude and did not explain everything they had checked during the service. She gave the alternative to "come back and we can try again to put the skid plate back on"- seriously? No thanks I asked for a discount on the service because technically it wasn't completed- she said she could give me 5$ off of a service over 100$ in cost. I requested 10$ minimum- it should have just been free. I have not experienced this in the past- Maddox has done excellent work in the past. He showed up just as I was leaving and I asked him to talk to the two service attendants/women who did the work. I am willing to return but will not permit these two attendants to service my vehicle. read more

I had fluids checked today and changed the oil. The team was organized and very efficient. Like the Wood Brothers. They vacuumed the front floor and cleaned bird poop off the car. That was definitely appreciated. They always protect the steering wheel and other places they touch. We have a white car and I watch to make sure the paint does not get stained. They are pretty good about that. We use Jiffy Lube regularly. They have a record of each vehicle and mileage that can be accessed at any JL shop. Prices have been reasonable and service usually quick. I have never seen them just sitting around. read more

I took my vehicle here for a synthetic oil change in late December. This is my first time having someone other than my regular mechanic service my vehicle. I recently had to take my car to my mechanic to get an oil leak diagnosed. I was informed that the last person who changed my oil, which in this case was Jiffy Lube on W.Bakerview, didn't place the oil filter on properly which resulted in my car leaking oil. We have spent 11 years and a lot of money at Bakerview and Hannegan Jiffy Lube. NEVER AGAIN! Customer Service at its lowest. We all know mistakes are made, but when an establishment tells you they can fix the problem and admitted they created the problem from an oil change 2 weeks prior. The guy then told us the cost of the repair. SERIOUSLY? We had returned from driving 1000 mile trip. Thank God we noticed a rather large oil spot. A week later my heater doesn't work, and I found out they didn't put the coolant back in. He was like "stupid European cars always have something wrong and it's always hard to fix them." Recently got my oil changed at Jiffy Lube #3306 2436 E Bakerview Rd, Bellingham, WA 98226. A few days after my service i got a call from my work telling me my car was leaking too much oil and to please remove it from the parking lot. Got home with the car and found that after it was warmed up the oil was a pretty constant drip from around the drain plug. Finally got the car jacked up high enough to crawl under it and found that the oil pan drain plug had not seated and the Technician wrote GAY on the the oil pan. Submitted a complaint and was told they could credit my oil change and that was all they would do. Don't use Jiffy Lube. They don't care about anything but your money. read more

I check it and there's barely any oil left in my car. I thought it was a bit pricey and I'm pretty sure they upcharged me (maybe because I'm a woman?). Upon arrival I tried talking to someone about an oil change instead I was ushered into a bay where they instructed me to pop my hood and turn on my headlights and hazards when they finished with these test an employee came to talk to me who found out was Miles Y. I told him that next time he should ask me what I was there for before he started anything and his rude reply was it hasn't started yet I know what I'm doing!! I said well I need a full synthetic oil change and he said it would be $89.99 plus cuz they only did 5 quarts where my car took 6. I tried to present a $15.00 coupon code #WYQ4W2 that I got off there website and he told me rudely he didn't need it he had it. Upon completion of my oil change I was told it would be $98.88 which I thought was high. On my way home I looked at the receipt and it showed taxable $90.97 no taxable $15.00 gross sales $105.97 EMM3J2 -$15.00 net sales $90.97 tax $7.91 total due USD $98.88 something struck me as odd how am I charged nontaxable $15.00 which made the gross sales $105.97 then a coupon code EMM3J2 not the one I had code WYQ4W2 was used which then made the net sales $90.97 by doing this the coupon I had was never used!!!! How can I be charged nontaxable $15.00 exact amount of my coupon. What at an oil shop is nontaxable? When I called to inquire I was told that the nontaxable $15.00 was my coupon so once again how can I be charged a nontaxable $15.00? They insisted that it was my coupon and that the amount was correct which I did not agree. So I hung up and called the Cornwall store and asked how much it would be for an oil change on 2014 Lincoln MKS 6 quarts and was told 89.99 plus I stated that I had a coupon for $15.00 and the employee on the phone told me it would come up to $85.85 after tax I then asked how can it be different from the Bakerview store and he told me it's corporate business so it should be the same price at both places. I was promptly greeted when I drove up to the bay and quickly escorted into the waiting room, but then I waited and waited and waited...and waited some more. The staff were friendly enough, but it took longer than expected for them to check me in. I actually had to flag someone down and ask if they could check me into the system. After all, you don't want to abandon your car and hand over your keys without getting some official paperwork that says you did so. Even though the waiting room is tidy and inviting with magazines, a movie playing G-rated flick Wreck-it-Ralph, and coffee; I chose to walk down the road to the taco truck to get a bite to eat. I confirmed that Jiffy Lube had my phone number, informed them where I was going, and asked them to call me if there were any problems and when the job was done. I never received a phone call (no news is good news, right?). My car was parked to the side when I returned indicating that the work was done. I stepped inside the office to pay my bill and get my keys. The staff went over the boiler plate checklist of things that had supposedly been done to my car like fluids topped, tire pressure filled, carpets vaccumed, etc. Unfortunately, when I got back in my car, I noticed the floorboards were still a mess (just as I had left them). I don't really expect Jiffy Lube to clean my car, but please don't tell me you have vaccumed the floorboards when you clearly have not. A mile down the road, my tire pressure light illuminates on my dashboard. I return the next day to inquire about it. The service representative tells me I have green caps on my tires which indicates my tires have been filled with nitrogen. Jiffy Lube uses regular air for their pumps, so he can't inflate my tires because it is apparently bad to mix air with nitrogen. Really? Then why did the agent tell me the day before that my tire pressure was topped? Jiffy Lube says my front, right tire is 10lbs too low. I need to go to Costco because they use nitrogen. As I depart Jiffy Lube, the dashboard light turns off, but I head to Costco anyway to verify there isn't anything seriously wrong with my tire. I find out from Costco that topping the tires with plain air is fine. A web search reveals the same thing. The Costco service agent was willing to check my pressure and he says all 4 tires are at the required 32 psi, leading me to wonder if the Jiffy Lube agent topped the tire with plain air anyway despite his objection to doing it. Hmm... All of these small annoyances add up making me wish I had taken my car elsewhere; somewhere where the mechanics actually do what they say they are going to do, and they actually have the proper knowledge to perform their job.
