I drove up to the service bay technician quoted me a price of $79 for a 15 minute oil change after I got parked over the pit he started going through all the add-ons and it wound up being $139. That was after my military discount. He said it was because I got two extra quarts of oil and it was $15 a quart he told me if I bought my own oil. It would only be 40 bucks so I went and bought my own and they serviced my car for $40 just to stay at promised. The service is great. The technicians were friendly and the manager was very helpful when I had a dispute over the price he fixed it so overall, I was very happy with the service. read more

Their technicians incorrectly diagnosed the issue as a rear main seal leak, leading me to schedule an expensive diagnostic with my dealership. So I went in for a routine oil change. They are expedient and fair priced with that. I went to drive on the highway the next day and noticed that there was a sound coming from under my vehicle. I called to make them aware I would be heading their direction to take a look. They told me I would be taken "with priority" since it was something they caused. When I arrived, they told me I would need to wait in line and had no priority, after driving back north 25 miles to be seen by them. My main concern are how do you let someone leave your store without appropriately attaching the skid plate and then how do you tell someone they will have "priority" and then make them wait. They are overall professional in their behavior but bad business sense and clearly poor skill set. read more

I've been bringing my 3 vehicles here regularly for the past 4 years. Never had an issue until my recent visit with Keon. He was annoyed and scoffed at me as I pulled up for an oil change interrupting him as he was outside working on what looked like a personal vehicle. He told me I may not be able to get a conventional oil change because he doesn't think they have the right filter (honda civic... yeah, ok). He used the oil vacuum rather than draining it (something never done before at this location, seems lazy). He was yelling at the customer in the next bay. They had one bay closed down because they said they didn't have enough people to operate a second bay. They had three workers. Several spent a lot of time standing around. On 12/24/21 I went to have a basic oil change. I expressed concern as it took at least 20 minutes to place the cap on after a 10 minute oil change. I was told that everything was fine. it wasn't until this week when I took my car to the dealership for regular maintenance that I was told that most of the oil was gone and the cap was improperly placed. I pulled up to this Jiffy Lube, which is oddly situated behind the Panera off of Archer and I was the only customer there. At 5ish on a Tuesday. Score. I came ready to be bored out of my mind but Victoria and her team (shout out to the ladies!) had me in and out of there in 20 minutes, no joke. I went in for a simple oil change for my car today, mind you i am 19 and have never changed my oil. I am the most unknowledgable automobile person probably in the Gainseville area. That being said, everytime I go to get my car fixed I always try and watch so I learn something more. Most of the time the people are somewhat helpful. This time I went to get my oil changed and I embarked on a 2-hour insane side quest at 4pm on a Saturday. I was helped by Trey and his friends (I forget their names but god bless their souls). Together we laughed, cried, learned about cars, and ate chocolate covered pretzels. I could not rate this Jiffy Lube any higher. Beware of Jiffy Lube #1837 's ability to provide a basic oil change. My husband had our 2019 Nissan Altima Serviced on 11/17/19 at 11:08 am. We paid $100.78 for the "Signature Service Synthetic" service. Regrettably, we found a 3x5 oil slick in our car garage two days later. We drove the car to the closest mechanic and learned that the services performed by Deangelo Jackson and Tyler C. at Jiffy Lube #1837 failed to tighten the bolts and air filter. As a result, the car engine had just 1/4 of the oil left. Needless to say, this is unacceptable given the amount of driving my family does, traveling from Miami to Gainesville. This car was purchased just 5 months ago so that my young "Gator" driver is safe on the road. Although grateful to have prevented an accident on the Florida Turnpike, this mistake should never have happened if they performed a "quality inspection" prior to completing the job. After speaking with the manager on duty this morning, he offered an apology and stated that because I took the car to another center, there isn't anything he can do because I voided the warranty. Hey Jiffy Lube: this daughter of a mechanic knows more about car engines than your technicians do! Burning out the engine to preserve their meaningless warranty is not an option. My car completely shut off and is drained of oil. I got an oil change at this Jiffy Lube on 12/07/2022 right before a trip to Miami. On the drive back my engine started sputtering and accelerating itself as if it was misfiring. Exactly 620 miles to and from Gainesville and my car died just as i reached the parking lot of my house and I had to push it to my spot. Do not go to this Jiffy Lube . You would be better off driving on no oil cause they will make sure you don't have oil anyways. It's embarrassing I paid $100 for a full synthetic oil change that took 40 minutes and all my oil leaked out in two days. Hope they enjoy the lawsuit. read more

This place is a JOKE. Do not come here. We brought in a diesel and they told us they could change the fuel filter with no problems. They were wrong of course. They didn't prime the filter right and the manager even admitted to us that he had done it wrong. We ended up not being able to start the car due to their idiocy, and had to have it towed to a real mechanic. Thankfully we found a great guy who was immune to the epic failures of Jiffy Lube and he fixed it up for no charge. The guy who towed us told us some more stories about how the guys at that particular Jiffy Lube had screwed up a few people's cars. One time they drained the transmission fluid in someone's car rather than their oil and their car broke down several miles later. Fools. Even after they screwed up our car, they refused to take any responsibility. The pompous manager would not agree to cover any of the towing/mechanic fees and actually acted like we were putting him out by trying to get the car started. I previously posted a positive review when I got my oil changed on the 2nd, but since then I've noticed fluids leaking from my car. I finally took it to the Honda dealership, thinking they just didn't plug my oil pan properly at Jiffy Lube and the dealership could fix it. However, the dealership told me my oil pan was completely stripped by whoever changed my oil at this location and that it's going to cost me 2 GRAND to get my oil pan replaced. I called Jiffy Lube to see if they would make things right and pay for the new oil pan since they're the ones that completely tore it up. However, they told me that they KNEW my oil pan was stripped. They said they wrote it on my receipt (even though I never got any paper NOR email receipt) and they never told me the whole time I was getting my oil changed. Apparently since they wrote it down, they won't take responsibility (despite my last three oil changes being at this location, so I know it was their fault). Very careless and even dangerous service, I'm lucky I noticed before all the oil leaked out my car and the whole thing would've been totaled. read more

Okay, so I did a review a while ago but I accidentally reviewed the wrong place. Here is the review that was meant for it. What amazing top notch service. I came in for a few routine things and to fix my a/c (it's about time I got it fixed) and the staff were really polite and personable. It was a busy day for them, and they told me it might take 1-2 hours to get it done and apologized for the wait. And here I'm thinking 'I've waited longer for less to be done'. Anyway since I live in the area I walked back home and left the car with them. They called me in maybe an hour and 15 minutes to let me know they were almost done and notified everything was fine. So I go to pick it up, the manager greets me, but now he has a noticeable limp. He explains he fell off a ladder and may have sprained his leg. Naturally I was concerned but he declared he would be okay for the rest of the shift. He then apologized that the crew forgot to rotate the tires, so I was given a discount while I waited for a tire rotation (10 minutes at most). I'd like to highlight this. The manager was more concerned about my car and customer satisfaction than anything else and should be recognized for his commitment to his job. The car was vacuumed, loose change was piled neatly on the passenger seat, and best of all they werent pushy about sales. You have car issues? Hit these guys up. read more

HUGE RIP-OFF!! I would give no stars if I could. I drive a volvo and have never paid more than $70 for an oil change at volvo or import dealerships. I bring my car here for an oil change and they charge me over $110 for lesser lesser quality products. I will never go here or any other Jiffy Lube again. UPDATE: Within few hours of leaving this scam disguised as a reputable business I started noticing a noise I'd never heard before, it went on for a mile or 2 and then stopped, this occurred for a while. When I got home and in the garage I looked under the car to find that the protective panel under my engine was dragging on the ground. After getting under the car to inspect it appears the panel will have to be replaced, bolts were missing or broken off on both the front and back and the panel was broken and cracked and can't be reattached. This could have caused serious damage to my car or other vehicles driving behind or beside me if it had come completely detached while driving. I will be contacting Jiffy Lube customer relations for not only a refund on the oil change but reimbursement for the damage to my car. read more

Coffee wasn't ready yet, but that's no biggie to me. No pushy up-sells, even with a Groupon. The staff also found an issue with a nail in my tire. There was a Groupon for a pretty great deal and it was not worth the hassle I've gone through. They put a defective oil filter o ring on (not their fault) and when I asked for proof via paperwork when I went back to get it fixed I was given the hardest time and attempted to contact the regional manager. Running a car with no oil can be detrimental and they do not seem to care what they may have done to the life expectancy of my car. It has been a month of giving me the run around, not answering my calls, not calling me back. Leyon Kerklin is the regional manager and is unprofessional and I will absolutely never go back here. He said he would get me an engine test and it would be in in a few days - that was over a week and a half ago and have yet to hear from him. It's not worth being cheap - don't go here. read more

A one star rating is too good. Wish I could give them no stars or even negative stars. Not professional or reliable. TOO expensive for the quality. Really this is the worst customer service that I have recieved. I had a "signature" oil change, my air filter replaced, and tires rotated in December. It came to just over $100 and they didn't even vacuum the floors of my truck. the worst part is that when rotating the tires on my 4 wheel drive vehicle the automatic locking hubs (which should stay on the front wheels) were rotated to the rear wheels along with the tires. 1) This left me with no 4X4. It wouldn't matter so much in Florida but I drove north and got stuck in the snow and had to be towed out. I was scratching my head as to why my 4 wheel drive wasn't working. 2) When I finally realized what had happened it was too late to save the hubs and just put them back on the front wheels. They where shattered and have to be replaced. Incredably each one costs over $400. I have tried to make contact with this Jiffy Lube's owner but so far it seems that there is no ownership of mistakes made by the employees. It is really disappointing that such a basic service could end up in such a disaster. read more
