I went here a few months ago and was very disappointed. The guys there were not friendly and seemed deeply unhappy. All I wanted was an oil change but they tried to upsell me on SO MANY THINGS. The quote they gave me was for over $500. I got my husband, who is extremely knowledgeable about vehicles, on the phone and asked him for his opinion. Some of the things they were recommending don't need to be done for a LONG time as my truck was recently serviced by the dealership and those things were already done. Sure enough, my husband checked things out when I got home and all the levels were more than fine. The guys at Jiffy Lube seemed very annoyed with me. I ended up getting an oil change and it's not a very pleasant place to wait. It's stinky, hot & the bathrooms are DISGUSTING. Fast forward to yesterday, my husband went there with his vehicle and top-of-the line oil for his German vehicle as they've always let him bring his own oil. Well, their policies have changed after YEARS of my husband bringing his vehicle there and they no longer will use the customer's oil. They want you to use their expensive, overpriced oil. Plus the usual guys who worked there are all gone and have been replaced by some sweaty, zero personality guys. My husband walked away and won't be back. We do not recommend this place!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! I knew better than to go here but i figured I would get a oil & lube and get a car wash too. They advertise (big sign) a free car wash on the front of their building but will not honor it. Its even on their picture on google. When questioned they say they have just "FORGOT" to take the sign down and then get very aggressive when you tell them that is not legal. The service rendered was sub par. Windshield washing fluid wasn't topped off either air filters were checked. I just wanted to share my experience so this doesn't happen to other moms! We're beyond disgusted with our experience at JiffyLube Maple Ridge. I took my car in to get the oil changed a few days before my baby was born. I was 40 weeks pregnant and just wanted a quick and easy service to my car. It was supposed to be a simple oil change and I had no idea anything was wrong with my vehicle until we were released from the hospital and noticed the car was making an awful sound. My husband checked the car as soon as we got home and we realized the plug from the rear end was missing, thus resulting in all the oil draining and the car was being run with no oil. He took the car back to JiffyLube and demanded they fix it. The manager apologized and said they would fix it as they're a "100% satisfaction guaranteed company" and they owned up to their mistake. They filled the car back up with oil and replaced the plug. The manager said it might take a few days for the car to stop making noise although we insisted that the damage was done. A few days later we brought the car back in and told them the problem was still there and the car was still making a terrible sound. The manager said they would send the car in to their "buddy's" shop to fix it. They apologized for their mistake and said they would fix the problem. We weren't happy with the idea of taking it to their personal mechanic but just wanted the car to be fixed. We brought the car into the shop and their mechanic said the problem was the bearings and replaced them. As soon as we picked up the car, we realized the car was still making noise and it was clear that they did not fix the issue and they merely tried to fix it the cheap way by replacing the bearings instead of the gears, which have been the issue since the beginning. Long story short, they told us that they were standing by their mechanics work and were sure the car was fixed. They advised us to get a second opinion if we wanted. We then decided to take the vehicle to a shop that specializes in rear ends to get their opinion on what happened to our vehicle. They advised that the gears were completely worn down due to lack of oil and the only way to fix the vehicle was to replace the gears. (This was an over $1,000 fix) They also advised that this was due to running the car with no oil and agree JiffyLube was to blame. This shop then contacted JiffyLube personally and advised them of the damage they had done to our vehicle. After pushing us around for a week, JiffyLube advised us that they were not paying for the repair. They asked us to get a second opinion and then backed down on their word once they learned what the cost would be of fixing their mistake. We made several attempts to contact the owner and manager of the shop and they ignored our calls and refused to respond to any voicemails. This resulted in me being left car-less with a one week old baby! I had to get neighbors and family friends to drive me around while my car was in and out of shops for nearly 3 weeks! We were then stuck with a hefty $1,000+ bill for fixing the damage they did to our car as I NEEDED a vehicle to get to doctors appts with my baby. They're still continuing to ignore our calls and refuse to take responsibility for the mistake they already took blame for. Avoid this place if you don't want this to happen to you!! I wish I had looked at their Yelp reviews previous to taking my car there. I had no idea of what an awful company JiffyLube is. I will sure never make that mistake again! read more

Let's start by letting you know I used to be a mechanic. I'm now old and lazy so I go to lube shops. I started to use this shop because I found the manager to be honest and didn't do the irritating hard up sell. That soon changed. The last time I was in (and it will be the last time), the up sell was blatantly dishonest. The guy checked my brake fluid with an antifreeze tester. WRONG! and said my fluid was all water and needed changing. He then showed me my rear diff plug. It had some metal dust on the magnet. He stated that I needed the rear fluid changed because of this. Here's a tip. That plug has a magnet on it because there are little bits of metal coming off the gears as the gears wear. That's the nature of the beast. The fluid change is not needed. Learn before you go. You damned near need to be a mechanic to go to these places read more

One of the worst decisions you could make about your car maintenance is to bring it to this shady business. Not only do they try to up-sell you ridiculous services that your car doesn't need, they don't even do a good job at it. My pregnant sister made the fatal mistake of taking my car there for an oil change and the forgot to put the oil plug back in properly. Needless to say her drive train was severely damaged AND they refused to accept any responsibility for their negligence. She is now stuck at home with a newborn baby and no car. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this business. All you really have to do is look at Jiffy lube's reputation all over Canada and the US to realize that this isn't the first time they have left someone with an expensive repair due to poor service. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube awhile ago and on my invoice it said, Free carwash. So, I went to get my free car wash and was told that it expires in a week from the time you do your oil change. There is no expirey date on my invoice and I was told at the time that they never expire and to just bring your receipt in showing that it says, Free carwash and they will honor it. I will never go back there again as this is false advertising. Not very impressed! If you want to keep customers, then stick by what you advertise. read more

20 years of having vehicles serviced and this is by far the poorest service ever! Greeted fine and asked for what service. Then after that, nothing what is promised was delivered. Their so called 20 point inspection - at least 4 items were not ever looked at despite being marked as checked and OK. NO lights checked, NO wipers checked, NO tire checks, NO belts/hoses checked. NO battery check. Very likely no CV boot, shocks/exhaust. Worst of all, I am extremely skeptical whether the oil filter was even changed. Normally there is communication with someone in the pit and you can feel the work below but this time - NOTHING! I asked and the guy is like, "Oh yeah, it was done" When I am ready to pay there is no debit machine. The guy literally takes 5 minutes to walk upstairs to the office to retrieve the machine and come back down. Finally, they promote a free car wash. None was offered. When I asked they give me a car wash ticket and then say you can't use it because it is broken so you should come another time. Just horrible. read more

Took my car in for an oil change and fluid check up and I thought all was well and done when I left. 2 1/2 months later my car overheats and I find out that I have absolutely no coolant in my car I have never had this problem before and all the years that I've ever owned a car and when I called this place back to find out why that would happen The manager I spoke with told me that was completely normal and he did not give a crap that I could've been stranded somewhere with my car overheated. Did nothing to help me at all except tell me how that was completely normal. Took my car to mechanic because I was afraid something was really wrong he told me it was not normal and then he fixed it up so that everything would be okay. I will never be taking my car to Jiffy Lube ever again due to their terrible terrible customer service. All I asked for them to care and maybe try and get me to come back and look at my car or something but all he did was argue with me and make me feel like crap. I've come here twice now for an oil change as it's so close to my house, but will never be going back. The first time I came here I was spoken too in a rude manner, talked down too because I don't know a lot about vehicles. I didn't want to go back, but found myself driving by and needing an oil change so I gave it another shot. Everything seemed fine, they changed my oil and charged my AC and we're friendly this time. About 10 minutes after leaving my engine light came on. I went back there explaining it's NEVER come on before and only appeared right after visiting Jiffy Lube... I made it clear I wanted them to fix the issue and that I wouldn't be paying them for that service since they caused the issue. They "fixed" it, and sent me on my way. Two days later it came back on. I won't be going back here as I don't trust the service, so whatever issue they caused I now have to pay another mechanic to fix. A simple oil change is now going to probably cost me a lot more. I don't recommend going here unless you intend to spend more then you previously thought. read more

I thought i would give this oil change place a try , when i went in for a oil change they asked me for an extra $15:00 to remove the access cover to change the oil filter, no one has ever made that an extra charge before. The next time i needed an oil change i decided to do it myself to save some money since i was over charged last time and i discovered they did not replace the access cover . I then returned to retrieve the cover they had forgotten and they told me it must have been thrown out. They made no effort to replace it for me and now i have to pay another $70:00 for the replacement that makes it $85:00 in excessive cost for a normal oil change. They have lost far more money than i do to the fact i have not given them my repeat business and i hope you take heed and not give them yours either. I guess i do owe them a big thank you for $280:00 plus dollars i have saved since doing my own oil changes . read more
