Broken promises from store and also from the corporate office. Went in for a full services and asked that all of the levels- especially the transmission fluid be checked. After completion of service, I asked if all fluids were checked- including the transmission (the bill says "checked" and Okay) and the person taking my payment said 'yes' and I asked him if he was sure and he yelled into the pit to ask if the transmission fluid level was checked and the person in the pit said 'no' it was too hot. I live less than 4 min from the store and sat waiting for over 20 min with the truck off before the vehicle was pulled into the bay. How can I trust them when they say on the bill that "yes" everything was checked when that is not the case. It makes me doubt their service at all levels. I called the corporate office and they offered a $100 card for service as compensation but never delivered it. Not sure that I want to use them when I cannot trust that they will 1) do the job that was paid for, or 2) even when they admit they were wrong, follow thru on their commitment to make it right. Did they really check the oil? Fill with Synthetic? check the other items on the bill? I will never confidently know what they do or don't do. Broken promises at both the store and the corporate level. It feels to me like this is a corporate culture issue. Their billing statement is blatantly deceptive when the work is not completed- even though they walk thru the statement and tell you that it was performed. Wow!!! What can i say i went there 13 October to just get my fluid and air pressure check, so i pull up and there's a guy (not even calling him an tech) in the 2nd bay so i pull up he waits until i dam near get in the bay and tells me to back out and go to the other bay. So i back up and swing my truck around to go into the 1st bay. The guy is guiding me in and starts yelling at me saying you not following my directions and your not aligned up. He started getting louder and louder, my son and i were sitting in the truck like WT#, this guy walks away and stands over in the empty bay rolling his eyes like he wants to fight us, were like huh what's his problem. So I can the other tech over and tell him hey, i just want my air and fluid check. I haven't even moved the vehicle and he say's your good pop the hood. He checks my oil and says your good!. I say hey what about the tires. He goes i don't have a gauge so he does a check of all 4 tires. Now this is where it get's good I tell him to remove me from his computer and take out all my vehicles. I let him know that i will be contacting corporate about the guy yelling and being volatile. Well then i drive off and started thinking, they didn't even put any air in any tire, so i pull into Discount Tire, they checked all my tires, one tire was at 15PSI, wow Jiffy Lube, wow, you lost my trust and business. Well, i contacted Jiffy Lube Corp and within an hour i expressed everything which happened, and the one thing i found out it's Jiffy Lube policy to top off your fluids and check your air for FREE!!! However, i don't trust Jiffy Lube on Fry Blvd and until there's major changes don't take the risk of putting your life in their hands...I'm just thankful i wasn't heading up North somewhere with 15PSI in a tire. Go somewhere where you don't have to dam near fight and get lied to. Gotta go check my oil and fluids. Getting an oil change during this COVID-19 time requires the customer to remain in the car, which makes for grumpy customers. Joe was incredibly professional, helpful and patient. There were some odd things wrong w my car ( that they don't fix there) - he took time to explain to me what I needed to know so I could knowledgably address those issues. I'm giving these guys 3 stars. I usually have a 5 star experience, but yesterday was a 1 star experience so we will meet in the middle. This is probably my 4-5th time here, I am usually in and out in 20-30 minutes which is why I go to Jiffy Lube. Their prices for an oil change are competitive, they top off your fluids, check your tires, the whole deal. The customer service is generally very good, they have music, coffee, water and magazines in the waiting room, the bathrooms are clean. That being said yesterday comes as a shock. I pull up and there was a car in each of the four stalls. I ask the guy how long it will be, he says 30 minutes in and out. PERFECT. 55 minutes later they ask me out to the garage to go over what my car needs. They mention I need new windshield wipers. No problem, 5-10 minutes he says, my car will be done. I mention at this time that I was quoted 30 minutes and I need to get out of here as fast as possible. 15 minutes later I get called to the desk where he informs me that the tool they use to get my specific oil filter off is broken and that they did not change my oil. Of course my first question is then why am I sitting here one hour and 15 minutes later. Though the manager apologized and gave me $10 off my future oil change, I'm still annoyed that my time was wasted and I still need my oil changed! read more

I called before taking my car to this store (I live in Tombstone, so it's a half hour drive) to make sure they could change the oil for my MINI. We pulled in, waited for 45 minutes and then they told us they couldn't, in fact, change our oil because they didn't have a filter. I'd been taking my vehicle here for years with no issue, but a month or so after my last oil change my car began leaking power steering fluid. I brought it back to Jiffy and they told me I needed my rack and pinion replaced, quoting me approximately $900 to perform the job. I sought out a second opinion and was told the leak was simply a loose hose (threatening to burn up my power steering pump) which was tightened for $0. I've since had the vehicle looked over by a third mechanic (as well as taking it on a 1000 mile road trip) and my car's been given a clean bill of health. Sorry, Jiffy. I want to warn potential customers of a practice that bothers me a lot. I had my oil changed at Jiffy Lube a few weeks ago and the technician stated my rear diff fluid was dirty and needed changing at a cost of 129.00. I took my vehicle to another mechanic and had it checked and the fluid was clean and at the proper level and DID NOT NEED CHANGING. This is deceptive business practices and I believe Jiffy Lube intentionally tried to sell a service that I did not need............Customer beware......I will not take any vehicle to this Jiffy Lube because of the deceptive practices. Approached promptly and was escorted inside, given the tour (bathroom, coffee, water) told them that alllll I wanted was a basic oil change. Short time later I was invited into the service bay to go over all that my car needed. Declined everything and told them that alllll I wanted was a basic oil change. Fine :-). They did the oil change and performed the regular courtesy inspections checking this and that, filling fluids, etc. 20 mins later they were done! Time to pay. One more run at trying to sell me things I said I didn't want. We went over the particulars of the services and inspection items. Clean bill of health on the wife's car. Paid and went home. Decided to take a look under the hood to see if oil and filter were changed. They were! THEN immediately I see black dust allover the front of the engine. Follow the trail to the alternator and then notice that the belt that was checked and marked as good was nearly destroyed! How do you miss that!? Wife could of been stranded. Didn't do the job, then lied to me. Their checklist of things they say are done as part of the oil change service is a scam! Went in for an oil change. After the usual relentless up-selling (you sure you don't want the $150 transmission flush you dweeb?), they finally got to work. I had told them when I went in that the power steering fluid might be low, and they stated that they check all fluid levels and top them off. Service was done very quickly and I hit the road $62 poorer. Just out of curiosity I stopped and first read the service paperwork - "power steering full" indicating that they had looked at it and found it to be fine. I then checked the power steering fluid level. Nothing on the stick - they had obviously not added any fluid. I went back and the story was that yes it was low, but they had added fluid and just did the paperwork wrong. I asked them to show stupid little ol' me how to check the fluid level, and they too found the level very low. They then added almost a pint of fluid and the story changed to "well, er, we were out of fluid when you were here, but got more in while you were gone" (I was gone for 10 minutes - BS). I've had the same experience with Oil Can Henry's down the road (that time it was the brake fluid). Makes me wonder what else didn't get done. I guess the answer is to have a smaller local business with some integrity do the service rather than these yahoos. Update - on a whim, I also checked the transmission fluid. It too was low, but the Jiffy Lube team marked it as full. read more

Had my oil changed for the first time today since moving to Sierra Vista. There are a *ton* of places in town to have your oil changed, and I'll try another one next time. I brought my own oil and filter, but they'll still charge you the same price as they would if you had them use their conventional oil. I feel like ~$42 is pricey for an oil change that doesn't include oil, but I went anyway because I was looking forward to having a cleaned windshield and vacuumed floors. Unfortunately, those things didn't happen (despite my receipt saying they were "completed"). This makes me wonder if any of the other checks/fills that are supposedly included actually took place. I was also a little annoyed when I visited the JL website after my service (to make sure that these other services were supposed to be included in the "Signature" oil change, as I thought they were) and saw that there was a $13-off coupon that would have been applicable to my service. Granted, I should have checked for that beforehand (somehow I missed it in my initial research, but it would have been courteous for the local employee to bring it up before I cashed out. He did state that there were a couple of other services that my truck is supposedly due for (per the Toyota manual, it's not) but he wasn't pushy or insistent when I declined. We just left without an oil change after waiting 40 minutes. When we arrived there were 2 cars being serviced, which were finished in 10-15 min. Then another car arrived after us. My husband decided to check to see how much longer it would be after waiting 40min. and they hadn't even started ours yet, they started on the car that arrived after us. I thought everything was ok. Service went as normal and was just so so. While driving on fairly flat areas we were fine. While driving through the mountains my check engine light came on and the van slowed to a crawl. After driving hundreds of miles and having to spend an unexpected nights stay. We arrived at a Dodge dealer that could service our van. Turns out the engine's oil level was over 2 quarts above the full level Causing engine issues. So over a couple hundred dollars and lots of stress later we are on the road again. At this point I'm not sure that I got the synthetic oil that I paid extra for. Went in for a simple oil change, said that after I parked my car. I went inside and they said wait to be called, meanwhile they automatically started doing a full service (a service that's twice the cost of what I wanted) on my vehicle without asking me any questions. Didn't ask what I wanted, what kind of oil, or inform me about their services in any way. Not sure if this is what they do, if it was because they were busy, but I'm very disappointed. Step 1 in customer service-- ask the customer what they want. Otherwise quick and efficient. Didn't wait long, but would have liked to have an opinion on what they did to my vehicle. read more

I'm not sure when Jiffy Lube started double prices. It seems like yesterday oil changes were 19.99; now they are 80 dollars. Despite the prices, I asked for an oil change and tire rotation. The representative who takes you back to the lobby in my opinion focused more on telling me what else was wrong with my vehicle instead of honoring my initial request. In fact, he focused so much on what I didn't want he forgot to tell them I wanted a tire rotation and pulled the vehicle up for me to pick up. They had to bring it back around when I brought it to their attention. They do a "complimentary" vacuum of your floors but for 175.00 for a oil change and tire rotation I would hope so. Not too many choices in Sierra Vista for vehicle maintenance but for the first time ever, I think the dealership may be the cheaper option. read more
