5 Stars-Honest mechanics in The Woodlands. I came in here the weekend of 4th of July to get my brake pads done. They checked out my brakes prior to doing any work, I ended up dropping my car off. In less than an hour, the mechanic called to explain the pricing options and what exactly I needed. The mechanic was super friendly, straight forward and honest-at no point was he pushy. The service was quick and definitely affordable compared to other places in the area. Kudos to Zack and David for being super friendly and HONEST!! I had a bad experience at their local competitor nearby (Rooster Ridge) and was super hesitant about letting anyone work on my vehicle. Because of these two gentlemen and the service I received, I will now be coming here for future services. Thank you! I have been coming to this location since it opened and based on my experience today, I will not be coming back. The computer messed up and they weren't able to give me a receipt. I need one for my records and they said it would be 10 minutes. I had to go relieve my child care so I asked if they can email it to me. They said sure. After an hour and half after leaving, I still haven't received it so I called. The assistant manager was very rude about my request - kept saying "you just left" and "it takes a minute". I get that stuff happens with technology, but I didn't need the attitude. read more

My wife brings her vehicle here for all routine maintenance and recommended that I do the same. So I went in for an oil change. There were several open bays, so the attendant directed me to one and scanned my vehicle in. A short time later, the attendant told me I need to see the manager. The manager asked me if this was my first visit and began to review my service history with them. I advised that this was my first visit and I did not have a service history. When I looked at his computer screen, I observed that someone else's name was attached to the file he was reviewing. I suggested that they need to update their system and possible advise their other customer of a possible mix up. The manager explained that the vehicle ID and plates uniquely identify the vehicle and continued to talk as if I had a service history with them. It appeared that he had no interest in addressing the vehicle ID issue, so I went elsewhere for the oil change. read more

Went in for an oil change and was given the most expensive oil change option without being asked, then when I asked why the price was so much higher that normal the woman as the desk gave the excuse of gas prices being so high. Gas was 2.85 down the street. read more

Good experience overall. Of course they try and get you to buy over priced filters and up sell you on the oil but they wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't at least try. I went with a synthetic oil and I did replace the cabin air filter. I used a Groupon for 15% off and ended up spending a little over $80. Not bad for synthetic. They were quick but it didn't appear that they rushed anything. They do vacuum out the interior and they kinda wash the windows. Whatever they used on the windows was probably dirty. I did have to clean that up myself. Again overall it was a good experience and I will use them again. read more

I walked in at 10am for an oil change. I was greeted quickly, but after 1 1/2 hours of waiting, my car still had not been touched. I inquired as to how much longer, and I was told 15 minutes. I left to do a few errands in the center, and upon returning, my car still had not been serviced. I was told they were short handed, which I understand, but perhaps a name change is in order. I don't like leaving bad reviews on a places unless it's absolutely necessary, however this place is a scam. I took my car in for an inspection and couldn't be more dissatisfied. The two people prior to me both were told their windshield wiper blades needed to be replaced. I thought to myself, "I wonder if they'll tell me the same". Sure enough, the inspection guy came in and said my car wouldn't pass inspection until the wipers were replaced. This is when it went from bad to worse. I went out to the car with the technician and examined the wipers for myself, As he stated that they looked old and dried out. I find this hard to believe because both wipers had very defined cuts on each side, as if someone intentionally cut them. Also, I find it hard to believe that wipers would wear out after only 6 months. Back in January I took my car into the mechanic for a bearing replacement on the front left side... apart of that service he changed the wiper blades and air filters (engine and cabin).... So you can't tell me it wasn't intentional that my blades were "rotted". To make matters worse, when I got home I realized they had given me the wrong paper work for my inspection to a car I don't own. This place is a scam and needs to be held accountable. Like I previously stated, I don't like leaving negative reviews on businesses and/or employees who are trying to make an honest living but this jiffy Lube is an absolute sham. read more

There was a small time frame of up sells as other reviews have said but, he was NOT pushy. Just doing what the computer prompted him to! Overall fast, helpful and polite. The "Up-Sell" is strong here. I've come here for years for basic oil changes and am always asked about air filters and expect it. Came today and man they were trying to start the year off strong with the up-sells. I lost count at 8 or 9 ant probably over $500 of suggested repairs. This is for a well maintained vehicle. Arrived at store a few minutes after advertised opening time of 8:00am to find employees standing around outside the store. Very friendly employee advised the manager had gone back home to get the keys to the store. Suggested I come back in about 40 minutes. I returned 40 minutes later to get an inspection and was told I had one car ahead of me and it would take 15 minutes to finish that car. Being the loyal Jiffy Lube customer I am, I decided to try this particular location near my new house. I recently moved from Austin and needed an oil change. Let me just say- the team working here is absolutely worth 5 stars. They broke down everything for me step by step and were completely honest in doing so. I had been getting my oil changed every 3000 miles and they told me that based on my driving habits, coming in every 5000 miles would be fine. They were not pushy about an air filter change and made sure I knew specifically when I needed new fluids, tire rotation, etc. The waiting area was clean as well as the restroom. There was fresh coffee and the staff was welcoming and kind. They were timely and offered me a coupon for my next visit. These guys even vacuumed the dog hair out of my back seat! Got our oil change today. The form you fill out when dropping it off has an option for an tire rotation. Every other place I have ever gone to includes this at no cost. So circled yes. When I went to pick it up there was a $28.99 charge for a tire rotation!!! This was not noted on the form you fill out. It was just a yes or no option. Did not say it was an extra charge. I will never return to jiffy lube. Stick to Christian Brothers. They don't rip you off. read more

Price gouges their customer. Charged my gf $67 for a synthetic blend oil change on her Honda Civic because they figured she didn't know how much it cost. What a rip-off. I went to the OilSpot on 1960 and got a synthetic blend oil change for my Dodge Ram Hemi, and it was $35. When my gf called and told me they were going to charge her that much, I called and told them to take her car out of the bay, and we'd take it somewhere else. They said they couldn't because they had already starting pouring oil in. We get there 20 minutes later and they had just finished draining her oil, and hadn't even started adding new oil yet... Dishonest employees and over-priced services. With so many places offering oil changes for reasonable prices, you're better off checking and finding another, more reputable place. read more

Just my experience, but this Jiffy Lube is awful. Terrible communication. I told them as soon as I arrived that I wanted 10W-30 Oil and at the end as they were showing me what the cost would be, they said it was going to be $103. Long story short it turns out my car actually needed synthetic oil but they put the most expensive synthetic oil in my car WITHOUT speaking to me first about it. When I asked if they could do something less crazy expensive they were already finished with my car. But finally after a lot of pushback they settled with letting me pay $75 instead. This is just my experience though, so from what happened with me, this Jiffy Lube service was very unsatisfactory. The main point is their communication was terrible but probably on purpose just to screw me over. read more

Appalling: Scam "mechanics". Went in for a basic oil change. Jason decided to use expensive synthetic oil without consulting me. This doubled the cost and more to $70. When we complained, he became offensive and abusive, slamming down the phone twice. He also tried to tell me that my filters needed changing and that he could do it immediately (they'd been changed 4K miles earlier). I would avoid. They are quick because they are empty. Came in for a quick change-out of windshield wipers with my girlfriend before a trip. I would have done it myself but I was strapped for time. The place was completely quiet with no other cars in the bay. So all six guys huddled around the vehicle and swapped out the wipers. When I went inside to pay I asked them why it costed $35.00 as last time it was around $16.00 -- I further asked if these we're the generic brand or a higher priced one. Then some guy looks at me and says "Oh, these are magical blades. No matter what hits your windshield these blades will wipe them off!" and then proceeds to look at me like I'm some kind of idiot and still doesn't answer my question! I'm paying you for a service with my hard earned money. I don't want to hear some crap a fourteen year old would blab. Beware of this Jiffy Lube!! Brought my vehicle in for quick oil change. 2 plus hours later my truck was ready. Incompetent staff cracked my oil cap and had to wait on replacement to be delivered. Jiffy Lube explained that it happens frequently yet they did not having any spares on hand. They did not offer any discount or any other consideration for their staff incompetence. They broke the cap yet they claimed it is not their fault. Try Take 5 for an oil change from a competent company! read more
