I have need a very loyal customer to this location for over 9 years. I was greeted by service tech Malik by what I needed, I told him a synthetic oil change and the he immediately started selling me on wipers (I just replaced last month). He then suggested to replace a couple of air filters which I just replaced back in Feb and did not look that dirty. He seemed very unhappy about not selling me anything. Then after changing my synthetic oil he hands me the new sticker which only had 3,000 miles until the next oil change, not the normal 5,000 miles. When I asked about it he said it wasn't that big of a deal. That's just what the system recommended. I asked to speak to a manager. Then Brandon (the manager) appeared and I informed him my concerns about the sticker to remind me for the next oil change was only 3,000, not the normal 5,000 for using synthetic oil. He said that Valvoline had changed the system at the first of the year 2026. I pointed out that my last oil change was in February 2026 and was good for 5,000 miles?? He had no explanation and told him that lying about the information I brought up wasn't appropriated. When I looked up how many miles synthetic oil should be replaced I found out that the mileage should last 7,500 to 10,000 miles. I find it very sad that Valvoline would hire people of low integrity. I have lost trust in this company and they are hiring people of low morale integrity. read more

All I can say is that I am very impressed. This is the type of oil change location where you stay in your car while the oil change is done. They check the cabin filter - if you want. They check the engine air filter & show it to you, mine was clean & OK The oil is extracted by a draft pump New oil is pumped in. The price quoted for a change was approx $80 with blended oil, and approx $110 with full synthetic. When I was charged, the quoted price was for only 5 qts & I was charged for another quart. For transparency, the full price should be quoted up front. In review, the employees were so pleasant (I had Sam & Lucy), the process was so efficient, and I wasn't up-selled with high pressure, I would return. Why 3 stars? Because getting your oil changed is ridiculously expensive these days. --- --- --- Maybe I'm just living in the past, but when I saw that my oil change was going to cost me $100, I could not believe I was not dreaming. I protested the cost a bit with the employees and they were empathetic to my frustration. They even gave me a 15% first-timer discount. I did not feel like they were attempting to rip me off in any way, but I still have a hard time believing an oil change should cost this much. I actually shared this story with one of the employees: I worked somewhere where we did oil changes in 2002. Back then, the standard oil change that most people got was $14.99. How has that gone up 7x in 20 years?? Of course, I realize that 2002 was now twenty years ago. Gas was also .99c a gallon then. So maybe I'm the grandpa who's stuck living in yesteryear. Secondly, I recently got a nicer, newer car. This was my first oil change in it. The employees here told me that all of these newer cars require a certain kind of oil now and that if you use something else, it voids the warranty. I have no idea if that's true, but they seemed pretty convincing. They also mentioned that they share data from every oil change with CarFax. I'm not sure about that either, but I guess I'll take them at their word. Aside from the price, everything else was fine. All 3 bays were 2 cars deep when I arrived, but things moved pretty quickly. Each car took 10-15 minutes, so it was nice to be in and out fairly quickly and not have to leave my car. I'll probably do a little more research and try another place before my next oil change. If it turns out that I'm wrong and $100 is about the going rate for new cars, I'll update my review and will have no problem returning here again. read more

Used to be good. Not good now. All new staff. Incredibly slow and don't seem to know what they are doing. Was hesitant to let them change the oil on my 1 ton diesel Dooley. But I'd waited in line behind ONE car forever sooooo.... This place used to have some very savvy employees. It used to be very efficient and professional. James was amazing!! He told me everything that was needed to change in my car without making me feel uncomfortable or pressured into buying, he was very attentive and was straight to the point of what I needed, offered me their tire pressure service, which I was not offered my last visit as well as my battery check. I arrived at 8:20 a.m. oil change was done and completed along with checkout at 8:35 a.m. Jesse was my CSR, a l e x i e topside and Matthew was on the bottom changing oil and adding a new filter. I came here for a quick inspection, and I was so pleased with the level of service. First of all, you get to stay inside of your car the entire time, which is really nice. Brought my 2013 Dodge Ram, 1500 Laramie, 4x4 to the Valvoline Instant Oil Change located at 33033 FM 2978, Magnolia, Texas for a rear differential gear oil change. They drained the oil in the differential, and replaced the plug without adding any new gear oil. My truck made it approximately 5 miles before the rear differential was destroyed. To their minute credit...they at least accepted full liability and my destroyed differential was replaced with a used one at their cost. Pure and total incompetence! Lost the use of my truck for 4 days. Differential should have been replaced with a new one. Do NOT take any vehicles to these people! read more

Well this place has gone downhill! I been using them on and off for 3 years! Once had a oil leak , they fixed it, went again this week and didn't change the oil filter! It seems for a 98 dollars that they could take some pride in their work! I sure I will ask them to see my oil filter from now on ! They can't keep hand working there ! Even with a coupon and the high price of oil now days ! That people would take pride in there work , or course when I talk to customer service I get a bunch of bs ! Here for 45 min so far, looks like they don't know what they are doing, just hope there's nothing being damaged as they said they can't get an oil filter on, truck is fairly new and never had any issues anywhere else, especially with an oil change! I take my cars here for oil changes and have even had a timing belt replaced by them. I've always been happy with the service and find the staff to be friendly and helpful. I went yesterday to have my tires rotated and as I was being redirected to a different bay I ran over a small ramp they had outside between the entrances. It put a large gash in my rear tire. I was so upset! Joe immediately called the owner Fred, who appeared in about 10 minutes. As I was waiting I was being assured that it would be taken care, Joe deserves a lot of credit for dealing with me! Fred left with my ripped tire while they were putting my spare on. He called me back a short time later and told me he had purchased two tires for my car. This could not have been handled any better. Definitely made the best of a bad situation. Very professional. I am a retired mechanic. These clowns changed my oil 3000 miles ago. I needed a 1/2 in drive foot long ratchet to remove the 14mm drain plug. Next move to the filter, I have an assortment of wrenches to remove oil filters. after trying every one, it required removal of the shroud under the car to make room for the giant slip joint pliers needed to remove the hand tightened filter that was crushed in the process. I took the filter up there. The "owner" dole me all his filters are crushed upon removal. This is FYI but I will never visit this place again. read more

The girl that was helping me gave me a online coupon witch was helpful.Then no one cleared the change oil light or filled my tires.As I was pulling out I was asked if change oil was cleared and was told you know how and I said about not checking tires and I was told gotcha.I know what I got now is a new oil change place read more

I have taken my vehicles here many times but I will not ever again. They performed my Chevy Cruze's first oil change and I happened to be out of town in Kalamazoo when I was due for my second. I ended up having to take it to the local dealership since no "quick lube" in town had an oil filter nor the proper oil for my diesel. Spent over 2 hours waiting for my car since the drain plug was so overly tightened that it had to be removed with an air chisel. It's going to be an inconvenience taking it to the dealership instead of Valvoline but apparently only SAE certified mechanics are capable of properly torquing drain plugs. Smh... read more
