Went in to get my A/C checked. They told me it needed Freon and filled me up. The next day the A/C again was blowing hot air. I took it back. They checked it, told me it was a leak that they were not equipped to service. I'm thinking...why didn't they make sure there was no leak when they put the Freon in. So, they filled me up again so that I could at least make it to the dealer for service AND gave me a check back for original service. Who does that? I was super impressed! E. Miller read more

I used to use the Goodyear in the back of the woodlands and had excellent service for 3 years. So when I moved to alden bridge, I expected the same from this Goodyear. Not so. I went in for my normal oil and filter change with synthetic oil (so more expensive) and asked for a ride home (literally 5 minutes). They made it clear that was not allowed but they would bend the rules for one way. So a friend drove me instead. ( other Goodyear never minded and drove me both ways every time) Then I explained that I was driving our 2012 minivan to Virginia beach and back. While they were replacing oil and filter could they give extra attention to the 12 point check? They assured me that they would. It would be safe to drive. These are the problems that I had within 1 week: - rotors were so thin they hit water and warped making every slow down at high speeds shake the car (hit this problem 3 hours from home) - tire blew and was bald as was it's mate in the back - getting tire repairs in North Carolina, I was shown that both air filters were so dirty the engine was in danger of overheating and the indoor air cleaner was causing air conditioning not to work well Not sure about what they looked at in that check. Tires, no. Filters, no. Brakes, no. Additionally the guy was quite annoyed and put out that I was getting an oil and filter done. Not enough money I guess. Had he done his job, they would have made way more money. I had bald tires and blocked air filters and needed tires balanced. Will be driving to the back of the woodlands for any more service. Worth the drive. Those guys never did such poor work as to leave a family stranded on a 50 hour car trip. Don't trust the alden bridge folks with your family's safety!! read more

I was trying to find a new auto care establishment to do regular preventive maintenance on my Car. I have used firestone and jiffy lube in the past and have not been satisfied. Firestone always requires an appointment and usually a long wait and Jiffy lube always tries to up sell me. I called ahead and asked if they could do an oil change and tire rotation. They said to bring it would be about an hour. They did exactly what they said. I got there at 11:30am it was done by 12:30pm and I was very surprised at the cost of the service. It was a lot less than what JiffyLube would have charge for the same service. Dave the representation that help me was fast and efficient. I will be back. read more

I walked into this place for a vehicle inspection. When I went to show them my insurance, it was a day expired (obviously an accident). I told the guy who was a manager (fat blonde headed guy) I would have the insurance company fax over the insurance card. . . They were irritated by this. The manager said "it sure would be nice if people came prepared." I would not recommend going to this place at all. Extremely fast service! I came in with a bubble in the wall of my tire at 3:50 the day before Christmas Eve (12/23). Apparently they close at 4:00 that day, but despite me walking up to the counter ten minutes before closing for a holiday, they still serviced my car and had a new tire on it 8 minutes later, before closing. They were also really courteous despite how late I was showing up! :) read more

I would like to complain about the service and attitude of General Manager Dave Buckner at the GoodYear store located at 8181 Kuykendahl Road, The Woodlands, Texas, 77382. 1. I changed three new tires at Mr. Buckner's GoodYear store. During the preliminary estimation with Mr. Buckner, he only discussed the service content and charges for the tire replacement. However, in the final bill, he charged an alignment fee of $99, which brought the total to $557. When asked about this extra charge, he argued that he had mentioned the word "alignment" once as the last word in his final question. It eventually became clear during this discussion that Mr. Buckner had attempted to mislead me. 2. When I again asked about the extra charge of $99 shown on the bill, Mr. Buckner argued that that the alignment was a required service that needed to be done once a year. He then became hostile and indicated that the Chinese cannot understand English; Mr. Buckner shouted, "GO BACK TO CHINA!" in front of many customers, as well as the store staff. When I told him that I would consider consulting a lawyer about racial discrimination, Mr. Buckner threatened to call the police. read more

Great Service by Goodyear - to identify the real problem with our van a/c and save us $2000 in the process!!!! See below for details. My wife took her Odyssey to the dealer when her a/c suddenly stopped working. The dealer took a look and told us the compressor, coil, and clutch all had to be replaced (the whole a/c unit) at a cost of $2200. They charged $125 for the diagnostic work (that we could apply toward the repair expenses if we had them do the work). I took the van to Goodyear the next morning, and asked Danny to take a look. He called back (within an hour) to let me know that there was an a/c relay that had power going in but no power coming out - upstream of the a/c unit. He told me they see this problem a lot with Odysseys, and after he had them replace the relay they inspected the a/c system performance and the a/c unit was working just fine. Cost to replace the relay at Goodyear - $140 !! They saved us spending over $2000 at Honda to replace a perfectly good a/c unit, and then we would still not have had working a/c until Honda figured out they also had to replace the a/c relay (at additional cost to us). I went back to Honda, to let them know how their Honda-trained technicians had "missed" this, and they agreed to refund the $125 charge for their "diagnostic" efforts. Mark read more

Our family has been taking our vehicles for several years to this Goodyear location for oil changes, repairs, replacement tires, etc. It is nice that when you are a long time customer, the manager (Dave Bruckner) knows your cars without having to look them up. They do not try to push additional services on you, either. Last time I needed to replace my tires, I was quoted a range of $150-175/each, but when I brought the truck in, there was a special on the same tires currently on it for $129/each. I had to have my brakes and calipers replaced. I had them all done in the middle/end of January for $700. to me that seemed like a lot of money. But I paid it anyway. Since they have been done my brakes (or maybe its the calipers tightening) have made this awful loud noise. Well yesterday driving home from work I noticed at every stop light my left driver side was smoking wheel well was smoking and was smelling like burnt rubber. Get home and it is all bright red behind my rims from getting so hot. When I called them they said they could maybe get it in after lunch. So I had to pay for a tow last night to get it up there(since it is unsafe to drive). After just calling they still aren't for sure why my calipers are tightening...now I know there is a process to it, but you should be working on replacing the fault parts that were given to me, and it shouldn't have been such a big deal to have it in there and taken care of right away.
