When I was introduced to Lauré I was frustrated and overwhelmed. I had already decided on a resort I loved and signed a contract, but room block negotiations were making my head spin. Lauré quickly put my mind at ease - she knew exactly what she was doing. She took over the communications with the resort, helped us determine the appropriate size room block, and managed the room block throughout the process. Her insight was invaluable. I would have made so many missteps had it not been for her guidance - all the way down to how to word my invitations and website to get the best response from guests. Speaking of which, we were optimistically ball-parking around 80-90 guests and ended up with over 100, which I truly believe is a testament to how effectively Lauré communicated with everyone. Once guests sent an initial inquiry to Lauré, she followed up with them like clockwork and I heard from multiple friends how responsive she was and how straightforward and easy she made the booking process. Without a doubt, we would not have had anywhere near that headcount had we left it up to guests to book directly through the resort. I cannot emphasize enough how necessary Lauré's services are if you're planning a trip with a large group and would also like to maintain your sanity. Future brides especially, you will have plenty of things to worry about while planning your wedding, do not let this be one of them. Fantastic staff, happy animals, well-kept facilities...what an incredible day we had. It feels like a dream. The staff was flexible to shift timing of the experiences so we didn't have to wait long in between- they were extremely accommodating and we never felt rushed either. The otter swim/playtime experience was originally what drew us, and it was even better than I'd imagined. Worth every penny! Then we got to feed and pet the capybaras, which were way friendlier than I thought they would be! The babies enjoyed some extra belly rubs too. Bottle feeding the kangaroo was so fun too- little Dundee was SO soft and loved all the pets, even gave us kisses! The giraffes were super friendly and greeted us every time we were nearby; feeding and getting quality time with them was an extra treat. The safari ride tour was also amazing- 5 of us fit comfortably and got to feed/see lots of animals that we wouldn't normally get to experience. We were surprised at how this place wasn't crowded at all in the middle of July when it is peak vacation season, so it really felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. They also have a beautiful main lodge area that is comfortable and welcoming with additional animals to enjoy.

Many promises were made during the interview, most delivered with attitude and only after demanding them. Issues: 1. She's very nice and proactive when it comes to charge you for everything in advance, once you submit your payment you will barely hear from her and Natalie acts as she's being bothered every time you contact her. 2. My fiancé's best man emailed and called her way in advance and she never responded. Forcing him to make his own reservations. 3. When I asked her about our website and distributing this to our guests, she told me that I had to send it to all my guests. I then questioned her asking if that wasn't her job since she's the one getting paid for this and she had the nerve to call me "rude" when all I was asking her is to do her job and make money off my guests and myself. 4. On repeated occasions she told me that "I wasn't her only client", and you will receive this treatment from Natalie when you demand her to stick with what she promises. I truly believe being a TA is no longer her passion, you can tell she's no longer good at it. 5. I have had at least 5 families in my wedding party reporting that Natalie was rude to them when they asked questions and she was impatient with them. They had to make their own accommodations because of this without using Natalie, which let me to not have the minimum required number of guests (due to Natalie's incompetence and lack of empathy), the hotel was willing to work with me, after noticing how unhappy I was with Natalie as my travel agent. 6. Even my wedding coordinator noticed Natalie's lack of attention and coordination as her emails are disorganized. She forgets what information she was given and then asks you to find the information for her. Again, I ended up doing majority of her tasks. 7. She will promise an app to be delivered 2 weeks before departure. She breached her own contract and posted this app 2 days before departure with MANY mistakes that I had to point out for her to fix. 8. I tried to break the contract with her on a couple of occasions and after consulting with the hotel in the DR, I was going to punish my guests in order to get rid of Natalie, which in good faith, it's the only reason that prevented me from doing so. 9. I guarantee that you will have to triple check EVERYTHING that Natalie does because in every single task, there were mistakes. Wrong itineraries, wrong names, wrong dates, you name it. The purpose of this review is to avoid more people to go through what I went through. I wish I would have never gone under contract with TravelAbundance or with Natalie, don't make the same mistake I made! Go somewhere else.

There were a few unforeseen/unplanned issues at airport transfers/handicap issues but I'd hire Diana to put correct and she would! If you ever want an excellent travel agent Diana is the one! Bit of background on me- I met Diana and her husband on a recent cruise and exchanged info just in case but usually I book cruises myself (this is the 30th) and Mom wanted a heavy Adratic cruise and I wasn't finding much.. I remember Diana and reached out to her- she found several options in a day and followed through given all my requests. Diana follows through and is always super attentive and delivers!
