The office was not helpful with helping my husband understand which lab he was to go to for a specialized analysis and was given the run around for two months. He couldn't go to our regular lab provider and was directed to a specialized lab, they gave him the wrong information several times. We had to spend several hours calling the insurance providers and several organizations in the local area to figure it out ourselves. It was horrible. I then scheduled a visit to establish care for myself. I have several medical conditions and Dr. P refused/dismissed many of my concerns/requests citing her personal feelings about my care (mind you she had never seen me before). I then asked for specific labs (that my previous physician orders to check my nutrient levels); she was against it and didn't see the benefit to it. Although she came across nice, she took a very authoritative approach to my care. She was very dismissive of my complaints and prior experience and need for specific testing. Her denials either came with no alternative solutions, just a "no, I do think that will help" or "this is what I'm willing to do for you" as if she was doing me a favor instead. I have never received such pushback and unwillingness to provide care without "good reason." It was just very disheartening to experience especially since I struggle with ongoing health issues.

How many doctors do that?? I had my annual physical examination today and when I got home I told my husband, "What a blessing it is that we found Dr. Ahuja. I love her!" She spent as much time as needed to go over all of my medical issues, discussed test results, nutrition, medications, etc. She is always attentive and really listens. Her office staff is always friendly, caring and efficient. They are prompt in answering my calls and emails and when I am in the office, I never feel rushed.
