I booked a virtual appointment on My Chart for Dr. Gaikwad. I wrote a personal email to the Doctor and asked if she is able to treat a specific disorder. This is so I do not waste her time and my money. I never got a response. I followed up with a second email, again no response. When the appointment happened, I asked her if she could treat a specific disorder and she COULD NOT. SURPRISE, I got a bill. I contacted the office and informed them what I did and they apologized and saw my emails and dropped the ball. I had a 12 dollar balance after my insurance paid for this, (no care appointment.) Of course I did not pay the 12 dollars that they billed me, and they decided to send it to a collection agency. I am furious! They are taking advantage of the healthcare system and patients. The thing I love about my doctor is she cares about ALL of me. Once we talked I told her I was going to the gym- she replied "that's awesome but don't forget to walk in your neighborhood. From the receptionist, patient navigators, to MAs and phlobotomist, their patience, kindness, and accommodation were evident from the moment I first contacted or walked in seeking assistance. My motivation for writing this review stems from my interactions with Dr. Shilpa J. Gaikwad. I consulted her due to persistent excess mucus build-up in my lungs, which caused shortness of breath, dizziness, and a general sense of unwellness. Dr. Gaikwad ordered blood work and a chest x-ray, assuring me that we would address the issue comprehensively. Upon reviewing my lab results through the MyChart app a few days later, I noticed that my blood glucose levels fell into the pre-diabetes category. Given my pre-nursing background and upcoming nursing school plans, I recognized the significance of these results as a warning sign for my health. Unfortunately, during a follow-up consultation with Dr. Gaikwad, several issues arose: 1. Blood Work: Dr. Gaikwad dismissed my pre-diabetes as "normal" and suggested that my elevated blood glucose levels might be attributed to my previous day's diet. This response left me frustrated as it seemed she did not genuinely care about my well-being. She failed to offer practical solutions to address my health concerns or explore my dietary, eating patterns, or lifestyle choices. She did not consider genetic predisposition or the possibility of an underlying medical condition. As suspected, after a follow-up with a different doctor we can for a fact determine that my elevated blood glucose levels are not normal and need further testing. All of which Dr. Gaikwad failed to do or care for. 2. Chest X-ray: Dr. Gaikwad mentioned hyperinflation in my x-rays, possibly due to allergens, and prescribed medication and an inhaler for my symptoms and shortness of breath. However, these solutions seemed hasty and short-term without addressing the root causes of my health issues. 3. Finally, Dr. Gaikwad did not even acknowledge or address my low CO2 levels, suggesting a lack of concern for my overall well-being. I had to advocate for myself and ask Dr. Gaikwad to see a pulmonologist since she did not have any concrete answers as to how to improve my health. Following this experience, it is evident that Dr. Gaikwad's approach to care does not meet the standards of quality healthcare I seek. I am not seeking quick-fix solutions through medications; instead, I aspire to improve my health and lead a long, healthy life. Doctors like Dr. Gaikwad contribute to the disappointing state of our healthcare system and deter people from seeking medical care, as it becomes apparent that their motivations may be financial rather than a genuine commitment to patient care and well-being. read more

I am so impressed by Dr Gaikwad abilities. It was my first time seeing her, she did the exam and immediately evaluated 3 potential causes for the pain to be that sharp. She did not wait and ask her assistant to call nearby hospitals to find the soonest CT Scan/Ultrasound appointment, since they were not available, she recommended to go directly to the ER & ...she followed up with the ER by giving them advance notice I was coming. The most impressive is that she was right about the 3 causes without her having done the CT scan and xray/ultrasounds. Dr. Gaikwad has been my doctor for almost twelve years. I choose my insurance based on whether she is covered. The facility is small and homey! The staff are always friendly, especially Jasmine. She helps me make decisions that are best for my health and because she takes the time to get to know me, I feel like she is speaking to me with sincere concern. The doctor herself was perfectly nice but I waited nearly an hour after my appointment to be seen for ten minutes and then was billed $250 for those ten minutes. She referred me to her obgyn buddy (it's my first pregnancy) and it was a total waste of time. The obgyn, who didn't tell me over the phone that she didn't want to use her old ultrasound machine because she wanted to use her new one which was only going to be available two days from my appointment day, referred me back to Dr. Gaikwad to start preventive medication for my migraines. Dr. Gaikwad referred me back to her obgyn. I've been trying to reach you both all day with my migraine. I was suffering from debilitating stomach pain which left me bed ridden for a month after three visits to the ER. Other medical professionals perscribed drugs that made things worse. After a month of dealing with this pain and feeling generally hopeless my mother in law suggested I visit Dr. Gaikwad. I explained my situation on the phone, the staff were very nice and they were able to get me in the same day. After a short wait Dr. Gaikwad came in and listened patiently as I explained everything I was feeling and had experienced over the previous month. She perscribed me different medication, gave me diet tips, and with a great level of confidence explained what I should be doing over the following months to get myself better. It is now 6 months later and I feel almost entirely better. I fear I would be in a much worse place without Dr. Gaikwad's help. From the moment you sit down with her you can immediately tell you made a terrific choice, she clearly knows her stuff and she really listens to her patients.
