Wife booked an appointment specifically to REPLACE the p-trap on our sink that I had temporarily fixed with super glue. I wasn't home. Guy came out, replaced one nut on the p-trap (which to be fair was broken, but I could replace that and--more importantly--so was the p-trap), said he couldn't find a p-trap that fit, and hit her with a nearly $300 bill for replacing a $5 nut. I then went to Home Depot and bought a p-trap replacement for $25 and fixed the issue myself. Total ripoff. read more

I was told by my home warranty company that this was the plumbers I needed to use. The service was not professional. It was one guy who seemed overwhelmed. He fixed a broken toilet (covered by warranty). But incentive seemed low to solve our mainline clog. Probably because the nightmare of having to get everything approved by our Sears Home warranty. He stated it was fixed and I paid 400 dollars. 4 days later the toilets started gurgling and toilets backed up. Had no confidence in the service I received so called another plumber. This is a really unprofessional establishment. And if you have any other choice do not go with Jim Crosby. I had an issue with my washer line and this is who my warranty company went with first. And there are two lines. The first is the one they looked at under the call. It drained outside and and that's about it. He said it wouldnt be covered. Then my wife asked about the main line. He said he was unsure if it would be covered. My wife said as long as they call for the second item and she would agree to labor and if they called in and it was covered we would be reimbursed. They never called about the second item. And then when called back they put the blame on the warranty company and claim to have been upfront about labor and that they said nmthat the item was denied. But from the timeline it is obvious that that is a lie. They have the service member calling about the first line. Then my wife inquiring if adding a second issue would incur a fee if it was covered. And then after that there was nothing. Then when I brought this to the owners attention they denied all responsibility claiming the warranty company is trying to hide information when they are the ones coming forward with actual proof. Then of course I was irate at this point. But the owner proceeded to have a screaming match with me. And then proceeded to hang up on me. read more

We had recently purchased a home and had a plumbing issue. Our home warranty contacted Jim Crosby Plumbing. Chris was polite and took care of us. We had an recurring issue with the same toilet and once again we're put in contact with Jim Crosby Plumbing. Long story short the warranty company was trying to take advantage of us and was refusing to pay the claim but Jim Crosby Plumbing put our interest first and made sure we were taken care of and our problem resolved. Jim Crosby Plumbing is the best Tallahassee has to offer!!! One of the reasons is Dawn, the business manager. I am a 70 year old grandmother of triplets and my daughter and her husband were out of the country. They hive only lived in their new home about a month and I had numerous issues with the house come up. One was the toilet clogged and I knew the plumber was coming out to check the hot water heater, so I waited one day for him to solve the issue. Unfortunately, they have a home warranty, something I have never believed in! When Dawn called to confirm the appointment I was not very nice. I called back and apologized and she called me back to say she had spoken with the home warranty people to include the toilet and jetted tub in the work order. She went above and beyond to help me. When Chris, the plumber came he fixed the toilet and checked the hot water heater and jetted tub and I was very happy with his work. However, when I went into the bathroom several hours later there was water on the floor. I immediately called Dawn back and she said she would send Chris ASAP. Not only did Chris come, but Dawn herself came to make sure everything was all right!!! I worked in the service industry at Walt Disney World for 41 years and would want both Dawn and Chris on my staff!! It is so refreshing in this day of little to no service that individuals go out of their way to help others!!
