People please read all these bad reviews before taking your clothing to this company! I wish I would have read the reviews first. This was my 2nd time returning my clothing to Jim Massey Cleaners. The initial first time and a redo service. All garments came back with a very pungent odor and the same stains, and under arms were not cleaned. The 2nd time ... same way. I first spoke with the Sturbridge manager, Cynthia about the issue and then spoke to Ashley, the District Manager .... I was told I could redo the clothes free of charge. So, I decided to bring them back hoping for better results. Ashley agreed would be ok. I got to the location and the clerk was unaware I was coming or had a clothing issue. No one informed her ...I returned them on Wednesday near closing of business and received them back this Friday. I received a text earlier that the garments were ready for pickup but when I got to location, all of garments were not back ... some remain not returned. I was told to check back after 4:00 pm that's when the truck usually comes in. No courtesy call that the other garments were now back, I had to call to confirm. I picked them up all together as the clerk suggested. However, I was Disappointed again to find that my garments still have the same horrific smell, stains, under arms not cleaned and this time they were lightly damped. I sent an email to Jim Massey company and the district manager. . Never heard anything from owner of Jim Massey ... I had to reach out to him today again, then recd a call back. And District Manager never returned my call or replied back to the email she received. 3 weeks ago this issue begin and owner never made contact until today 3 weeks later, after I called again... I had called multiple times to reach him and corporate staff and was ignored. When I finally spoke with him he was rude and unprofessional! He clearly is not into customer satisfaction or cleaning clothes as advertised . Please people ... Take your clothes to a cleaner that cares and values you as a customer! read more

I've used these cleaners 6 times I think. They are batting about .500 and have just earned a 3rd strike with me. Strike one was the result of an employee convincing me their drop off bags were a good idea. I can't remember the cost of buying one. "Just write your number on it, drop it off, and we'll call you when it's ready." Used it twice and no call either time. The most recent time was 2 Sundays ago. I went to retrieve the item today after no call for more than a week. Strike two was when I had a shirt cleaned and it came back looking like the breast and left sleeve was folded over themselves 2-3 times in the shirt press. The staff offered to send it away to have it fixed, but I needed it that night. Strike three was today when I retrieved the order that sat with them for so long without a call. I overheard another customer discussing the military discount after I had paid. I never ask for this, and when offered it is usually returned as a tip. As I was standing there in uniform I asked what the cost would have been without the military discount. The girl looked at me and said I didn't get the military discount. I kind of looked at the front of my uniform in a humorous way and said, "Really?" She then explained that the policy is for them to see an ID. When I explained she never asked me for it, I just got a blank stare. It was not appropriate to continue the conversation in front of other customers, so I wished the two worker a good day and left to take my business elsewhere. read more

At this Jim Massey's location, I have received quite possibly the worst customer service that I have ever received. Anywhere. Showed up to this location on a Friday, a couple of minutes prior to 6 o'clock, their closing time. Upon pulling up, the Open sign was turned off, the lights were off, and the employees were walking out the door. Two of the employees had on a green apron, the other did not. I had an important meeting on Monday, early in the morning. I just returned from out of town, would be out of town on Saturday, and needed a suit that was in the dry cleaners for the meeting. I explained my situation to one of the employees with the green apron. The employee without a green apron, upon hearing my situation, scoffed, shook her head in disgust, and walked off. I asked the employee with the apron if there was anyway that I could get my suit out of the cleaners. She looked at me, and said that there is nothing that she could do about it, and said that the manager, gesturing toward the employee who just scoffed at me and walked away, already left. As I was looking at my phone trying to figure out what to do, the "manager" walked past my vehicle again, and ignored me when I tried to talk to her, got into her vehicle, and left. I have never been openly mocked by the manager of any establishment in my presence before. A business that allows it's managers to openly show contempt toward customers cannot survive. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, and I would advise other people to do the same. read more

Stay away! They burned holes in my 3 of my husbands military uniforms. They did reimburse us, but it was not an easy process and stressful. We gave them another chance and they burned a hole in the brand new uniform the first time we dropped it off!! I've been waiting over a month and a half to hear something on that claim, $90 brand new uniform ruined. They need some serious quality control checks done. I'll load a picture. I am a military member, and I have taken my uniforms to Jim Massey's TWICE. The first time, they ironed my blues improperly. They left huge railroad tracks down all the sleeves, on ALL THE SHIRTS! On one shirt I had asked them not to crease the collar at all (because I use it for service dress)... they creased it with starch! The second time, I decided to try a separate location and was even more disappointed. They flat out LOST my Heavy Blues V-Neck Sweater. The first time I went to pick up my uniforms the desk attendant (who mumbles and has a horrible attitude) said they had shipped it to another store and to come back later. I came back 4 - 5 days later (as directed) and the same attended (again with the horrible attitude) tells me they lost it so I should look in the mail for compensation check... I GOT A LETTER FOR STORE CREDIT that reads as follows: "Again we would like to apologize for the inconvenience this matter has caused you and appreciate your patience and understanding in dealing with this unfortunate situation. Store Credit has been issued in your name at the store, this credit has no expiration date and has been entered into the store computer to insure you of full payment $47.00. Jim Massey's is committed to providing the very best drycleaning & Laundry service available in Central Alabama. We proud of our excellent service, and you should expect it at all times. We apologize for our failure and we are working very hard to insure that it does not happen again. Clusters are the backbone of any company and I hope we have satisfied you in such a way that we will continue to service all of your dry-cleaning & laundry need in the future." Yes grammatical and capitalization errors included! How is this compensation! I don't want them every touching my uniform items again! On top of that how is store credit going to help me acquire another sweater? If anything they should be paying me $50.00 for a $3.00 inconvenience fee for their ignorance, for making me drive up there twice to pick up the lost item and again tomorrow morning to argue about "compensation!" This is completely unprofessional and unsatisfactory. Use the Base DryCleaners or purchase your own at-home steamer, dealing with company is not even worth your time, effort, or business. They were unable to get my shirt completely clean. I also have a coupon that I tried to use at pick-up. The employee said I could only use it at drop off...this was not labeled on the coupon at all... Employees are friendly and courteous. There is drive through drop off and pick up. read more

$7.40 to dry clean a single shirt is really all you need to know. $4.75 for a "golf shirt". I really don't know how they are in business with prices such as that, but I suppose some people just like to pay more for services that are worth less. I am not one of those people. read more
