The cashier welcomed us with a big, bright smile on his cheerful face. What a cutiepie (in a motherly way) lol. Great first impression. I had a cod fish taco and one beef. My husband had 3 carnitas tacos. Loved the fresh toppings on the fish taco. They were tasty, filling, and not too crazy expensive like some places are getting. Most of the tables were sprinkled with parmesan cheese crumbs left behind. It's an older building with huge uneven plastered spots on their walls. But it didn't ruin our experience. It was quick and satisfying, and we weren't expecting fine dining, of course.

I ordered a number two and so did my friend and it was so delicious. The taco shell is not the usual because it is authentic taco shells. It came with a drink and a burrito. The service was pretty fast and very helpful. The tables were clean but not the cleanest dining area but it was okay and that is why I am giving four stars. They do have a drive-thru. And I will go back someday.

12 tacos, six sans lettuce. Yummy!

Again, our annual taco stop this time coming back from Tahoe. Very good tacos. The young woman who took our order was very nice and made us feel welcome. Very clean restaurant and bathrooms. For those of you who complain about being too expensive maybe you should go elsewhere. Any place you go to now is higher. Even the grocery stores. Sad but true.

The Jimboys in Cameron Park is better so if your driving up from the west go there instead. Lol I do like this place though, they often are not open when they say they should be hence the 4 star's. The tacos are good they put Parmigan cheese on the outside of the shell.

Best tacos!! We have always loved Jimboys tacos. Any easy stop coming home from Tahoe. Tacos are fresh and delicious! Service was great! Thank you!!!

It's fast food, greasy, and fried. It didn't make us sick. We definitely have much better alternatives in Placerville, much healthier too.

The food was yummy. Our waiter was terrific. I ordered Rojas chicken posole. It was served in a big ole bowl that was bigger than my Charlie Brown head. The broth had a good flavor. The shredded cabbage was served already mixed in the posole. The posole was topped with chopped onions, dry oregano, and chopped cilantro with lime wedges served on the side. I'm used to everything served on the side including the cabbage. I like to control the quantity of toppings. A bit of a control freak. Next time I'll ask for the items on the side. The posole had a lot of shredded cabbage and hominy. Each spoonful had a textured crunch from the cabbage. Slurping and chomping my posole. The hominy was soft and tender without being mushy. The complimentary chips n salsa were divinely delicious. Salsa was packed with flavor, nice thickness. No watery soupy salsa here. The chips were crisp and light. This Paco's is a sit down casual restaurant while the one in Pollock Pines is counter service. Both have a fun luchador theme that's understated without being outrageous. This location has a bar in the dining room shared space. The atmosphere can get rambunctious. Not rowdy but rambunctiously loud.

We gulped down the horchata. Totally hit the spot on a hot day. The queso birria tacos were loaded with meat and cheese, and I was so happy they were served with multiple lime wedges! The dipping sauce was so flavorful too. Highly recommended! The chile verde plate was ok, not much pork up in there. In comparison, we had the chile verde burrito at the taqueria and were super happy with it. Will probably stick with the tacos and burritos in the future, but overall a solid choice in Placerville!

Since there aren't that many late night options, I decided to try their other location. It was easy to place an order online. Do note, if you would like to go inside and use the restroom, that is not an option. Only the drive thru was open. The food was fine and they gave us a bunch of salsas like I had asked. I noted I really wanted the spicy ones. I did tip $5 with my online order, so not sure if that had anything to do with it. Unfortunately when we got to Tahoe, we realized one of my street tacos was missing. I thought about calling to let them know, but it wasn't like I was in the area to do anything about so I didn't. The food is good for late night mexican. I'd rate it a 3 overall, maybe even 3.5. But I wish their online ordering had a way to tell them we were missing food. I may have tried to resolve it if so. Given the missing food, going down to a 2. REVIEW #3932

We made a reservation for our party of 10. Glad we did because this was a poplar place and filled up quickly for lunch. I've never dined here before, not because of any particular reason. But glad I gotta finally. Good food, outstanding customer service, and relaxing welcoming vibes. Service was awesome. Our waiter was on it! He had an engaging personality and did a superb job. Got drinks out, food came out hot n quick and all about the same time, refills attended to without asking, and they even allowed us to split checks (we asked for 3). Awesome! We received complimentary chips and salsa. No complaints there. The salsa was flavorful with a nice thickness. It took me forever to choose... the options were plentiful. I ended up ordering the lamb shank. $23.The shank itself is a distinctive flavor cut of meat. If it's cooked right, it should be moist, fork tender and infused with the slices used. Well ... they did it right! Spiced and marinated giving it flavor to pair with the shank's natural distinct flavor. Mmm. The plate came with Mexican rice and refried beans with flour or corn tortillas. The rice was fluffy. The refried beans were tasty. Prepared well, no aftermath toots. The restaurant is not new but well kept and maintained. Relaxing, family friendly vibes. The interior decor was festive. Beautiful carved wooden booths. They have a separate bar area offset in its own room. The women's restrooms had beautiful colorful tiled bathroom sinks. Fun pop of color.

The host was very kind and offered to ask the manager if we could sit inside with the dog but the answer was an expected sorry, no. So far great service. When we came back we were seated right away at a comfortable booth. We ordered 3 street tacos. Two Al pastor and one carne asada. They brought out chips and salsa right away with waters. I ordered a top shelf margarita to share with my boyfriend. Good thing we shared because it was huge! It said it had a floater shot, but I couldn't see that and it didn't come on the side like it usually does. Makes me question if it was even in there? The tacos took about 30 minutes to come out which was a very long time for 3 tacos. BUT they were very good quality tacos. Seemed like the corn tortillas could've been made in house. The quality of the al pastor and the carne seemed very good. I really enjoyed the tacos. I'd say the wait will be longer because the quality is fresh. I would definitely come back again!
