Jalapeño Popper Burger. Not on the menu, it was a special.

Went for lunch, very interesting building and firefighter decor. There were a couple levels and one of those modern jukeboxes that allows you to select almost any song. The first level is a large open space with tall ceilings and a central bar. There were a few TVs and a stage for live music . The staff was very attentive and quick during lunch hours; we noticed a lot of people on their lunch break. People were sat, ordered, and served quick. The menu was fairly large with standard bar fare mixed in with some interesting items. The naked Buffalo wings were the best I've had in Dayton. Cooked correctly, crispy but not dry. The Buffalo sauce was good but could have been a bit spicier, however the wings were not over sauced, dressed appropriately. The blue cheese dressing was served nice and cold and had nice chunks of real blue cheese. One person in my party ordered a really good roast beef sandwich served with a side of horseradish. The roast beef was piled high, served medium well. There fries are FRESH CUT and delicious. Reminded me of fries served at a fair or carnival. I had a burger special: the jalapeño popper burger. Loved it. Two smashed patties, fresh jalapeño, cheddar cheese, and a sweet sauce. The bun was lightly toasted and fresh and all worked well together. Very creative and tasty burger . Our waitress was very friendly and seemed happy to be there. Patient and attentive. There was a group of women playing a board game at the table next to us and our waitress took the time to look up the name of the game when we asked about it. The parking was a little tight being downtown but we look forward to our next visit.

Ok bar and grille by UD... I grew up in Centerville, but never checked out Jimmie's Ladder 11 (surprisingly)... Stopped by for dinner with family. Jimmie's is a super chill place frequented by all the "UDers"... Nice laid back vibes, good crowd, solid beer selection, and alright food (the sandwiches looked pretty good). We weren't super hungry, so we got the blackened walleye and Parmesan crusted salmon... Neither were bad, but we've had much better. The place was pretty busy as it was a Friday night, so the service was just "okay" (our server was a bit snarky and short; you could tell she was very overwhelmed with service). The biggest drawback however was the price... $90 w/ tip for two dinners and two beers (completely ridiculous). All-in-all, Jimmie's was alright but definitely not worth the price.

Great food, friendly service, and a really cool atmosphere inside the restored firehouse. Everything came out fresh, and I'd definitely come back!

Fun night out with friends. I loves the cool old firehouse and all the pictures and memorabilia on the walls. Well poured Guinness and the house made pastrami on rye was perfect dinner on a cold night. Server was attentive and always near by with being intrusive. Lively atmosphere without being too loud

A couple of coworkers and I stopped in for a business lunch. It was my first time dining here. Cool atmosphere inside of an old firehouse. The service was fine and the food was just ok. Nothing was really memorable about the food or the experience. I got the Black and Blue salmon salad and some wings.

Service was awesome. Felt like a family run business where I felt well taken care of. Food was excellent. I didn't know I had a craving for pastrami or corn beef on rye until I came here. Ambiance was chill, being in a converted firehouse was cool. Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area.

The Miso dressing on the salad was bright and lip-smacking good. The rest of the salad was well-balanced. We liked the food so much we got cookies too and gobbled them before we left. Rock salt on the top of the chocolate chip was a well received reset to enjoy the melted chocolate. The cinnamon had that molasses flavor that deepens the sweet. The people are super friendly too. The husband-and-wife team behind Grist has created one of the most inventive pasta menus you'll find anywhere. It's casual--you order at the counter--but don't mistake that for ordinary dining. We started with the rosemary Parmesan focaccia and the cow's milk burrata. Both were excellent. The focaccia was simple, fresh, and perfectly executed, while the burrata was an absolute standout. For our entrées, we had the Mafalda al Agnello, Raviolo al'Uovo, Spring Pea Agnolotti, and Tonnarelli di Mare. Every pasta was handmade and beautifully prepared. The Mafalda stole the show, with wide, ruffled ribbons coated in an incredible braised lamb sauce. The Raviolo al'Uovo was unlike anything I've had before--a single oversized raviolo with remarkable flavor and a presentation that was as memorable as it was delicious. Grist is proof that great dining doesn't require white tablecloths. It simply requires talented people making exceptional food. We couldn't recommend it more.
