Luis didn't guess. He traced the whole circuit and found what everyone else missed: the actual fault was in the power going to the module -- an amperage issue at a fuse on the battery, not the module or the fan wiring at all. He rerouted the feed to another battery post and the car has run perfectly ever since. Car has been running perfectly in traffic, no overheating, fans kicking on and off right on cue.
