I found Dean through Yelp, I have a VW beetle 2003 the glass was coming apart from the convertible top. I asked him if he could do something to temporarily fixed the problem and he said he definitely could but would not guarantee the job. Of course I knew the best thing would be to replace the top, so he gave me a quote and told me he would call me when the part top arrived so he could get the job done. Once the top was installed, we picked up the car and we ran into one issue, which was the sensor for the top would not go off once the top was closed....we brought it back and he fixed it, of course we bought the part needed and he fixed it.... my car was purchased used so there were other issues like fixing the window(which didn't go up)...he fixed it and now my car is great! I love it even more than when we bought it...Dean did a great job and any issues, he's definitely there to help and fix them. I have to say the customer service was excellent and every time we called he answered. He still checked on the car after we had it for a week to make sure everything was ok. because of my work schedule, i could only go after 6:30 to pick up my car and he waited for us every time, no problem and even on a sunday went to meet us, though he was at the beach! I took my 1989 vw cabriolet to Brooklyn Auto Tops because it was cracking, leaking and in desperate need of repair. I called up Dean and he took a look at some pictures I sent him of the car, he gave me a fair quote and let me know what he could do. It took a while to get the parts and get it all installed, but Dean was easy to work with, honest and took care of the details, and the finished work looks great; he worked with the condition of the car and used what was in good shape and replacing what needed to be replaced. Dean did a great job with complicated cutting in the back window as well. His estimates and pricing were fair and he worked with me to make sure I was getting the things I expected. Dean was so helpful. I had gotten estimates from other mechanics for a new convertible top and they were twice as expensive. He did a careful, excellent job. He also helped find a radio/cd/cassette player for my 2003 Volvo even though I and my son in law had tried to find the right one. Dean after several tries got the radio and code and installed it, along with a new lining, housing mount, driver's visor, and other things I didn't understand.
