He started out as an Ankeny Hawk, went on to ISU (he's an ISU hall of famer), was drafted by the Detroit Lions and later played for the San Diego Chargers and led his team to a Super Bowl appearance. No apology, but they did give me some prepacked candy with my food which I guess made everything alright for me having to come back to get the rest of my order.
