I got a vito that was pretty much bread. Very disappointing and too expensive to be mostly bread.

Two sandwiches full of wheat. And 3 sandwiches is 24.00.

Normally I'd give this place a 10 but the absolute worst thing fir a drive through is to go hone and find you got the wrong thing. My son and I can't eat wheat and ordered 2 unwhich sandwiches..... got home..... not unwhich. Frustrateddddd!!!

Lettuce anyone? Glad I asked for it to be left off

The main issue is just slow delivery and long waits at the drive thru.

Alex's Market & Grill in White Lake is one of those places that looks like it should be great--but…read morenever quite delivers on that promise. It's a unique setup as a gas station, market, deli, and bistro all in one, and they definitely offer a ton of options. The selection is honestly one of their biggest strengths--whether it's groceries, prepared foods, or drinks, there's a lot to choose from. That said, the prices are noticeably high across the board, especially for gas and everyday grocery items. The food-to-go section is where things start to fall off. It always looks solid in the case, but somehow never tastes as good as it should. It's not terrible--it's just consistently underwhelming. The bistro itself is decent, but nothing special. If you've had Middle Eastern-style grill spots before, you've had this. Plenty of lamb and shawarma options, but nothing that really stands out. The one exception: the Thai peanut chicken wings and the shoestring fries are actually really good and worth ordering. They also advertise a huge beer selection--something like 100 options--but in reality, the taps are rarely all running, which takes away from what could be a big highlight. One thing that stood out on my last visit was how strong the smell of cleaner was inside. It was almost overpowering and made it tough to sit and enjoy a meal. On the flip side, it was definitely clean--maybe just a little too clean in that moment. Overall, Alex's Market & Grill has a lot of potential with its variety and concept, but it ends up being more average than it looks at first glance. Good in a pinch, but not somewhere you go out of your way for.

We went upstairs to eat around 1 PM on a Thursday, so it wasn't particularly busy. Unfortunately, they had already "run out" of a few key items, including the Dubai Espresso Martini and bone-in wings. That was confusing, especially considering there's a grocery store downstairs--it didn't quite add up and was disappointing. The service itself was great. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but she didn't seem very familiar with the menu and couldn't offer recommendations, which would have helped since it was our first time. As for the food: the boom boom shrimp and lamb sliders were both good and definitely the highlights. However, the fish tacos were extremely salty--so much so that I couldn't finish them. Overall, the vibe is cool and I'd consider coming back for drinks, but based on this experience, I don't think I'd return for the food. We do appreciate the free dessert, I'm just still hungry

I love a good pastie and often go out of my way to search for new pastie places all over the state…read more I noticed Uncle Peter's was sold in a few local markets. When I saw they had a local store I had to stop in and try a hot pastie that was not frozen. Walking in the location was old , outdated and had the lights not been on I'd have thought it was closed down. There was one employee sitting in back who seemed like he was just counting down the hours till he could leave. They had a hot beef and broccoli pastie so I bought those along with 4 frozen pasties that consisted of other flavors so i could enjoy them later or the next day. To say i'm disappointed is an understatement . Uncle Pete's Pasties are $10 each and half the size of most places. They have NO FLAVOR at ALL !!! Like I am in shock I have no clue how the broccoli doesn't even have that veggie taste. However none of these over priced pasties had flavor. The gravy was just okay. Gordon food gravy is better :/ All in all this was horribly disappointing from the customer service , the price to the poor flavor. Save your money if you are truly craving a great pastie my vote thus far is Superior Pasties in Livonia or Cousin Jenny's Cornish Pasties in Traverse City. Those two places are cheaper and have pasties that are amazing in taste and quality. One thing I do want to note about Uncle Pete's is the crust. The crust is very flaky and soft which you'd think would also be tasty and buttery. I'm curious if they used to be flavorful but clearly stopped using whatever once made them a staple. :(

I saw the good review score on Yelp and wanted to try this place out as I was in the area. I got a…read morefresh beef pastie with beef gravy and 2 frozen for later. To say the pastie was absolutely flavorless is honestly an understatement; I'm still deciding if their mediocre beef gravy made it worse or not. I legitimately cannot believe this place has a 4.6 on Yelp. And yes, I was very surprised when my total came out to $36 for 3 pasties and 2 little sides of gravy. Maybe the product was better years ago but I couldn't even finish half of the pastie with gravy. Will probably give the other 2 I bought to the homeless.
