I recently tried Pita Way for the first time June 5th 2025' and had a pretty good experience I'd never had their food before, and the staff was really nice and even let me sample something which I truly appreciated. I didn't go too crazy with ordering since I'm a bit indecisive with food, but what I tried was fresh and tasty. I'd definitely be open to coming back again to try more. I mainly stopped by to ask about job opportunities. I had called before and was told they weren't hiring, but when I went in person, I was told they were hiring and that I needed to apply on the website. It was a little confusing getting mixed messages, but the staff was polite and helpful throughout. The main reason I was looking to apply here is because I don't have a car right now, and with my parents' busy schedules, it's hard to get to jobs that are far away. Pita Way is close by, so it seemed like a great opportunity. Whether I get the chance to work there or just stop in again for a meal, I'm glad I gave it a try and appreciate how kind the staff was! The only thing I'd note is the ambience it was a bit loud when I stayed to eat, and the seating could've been more comfortable or spaced out better. It wasn't bad, just average, and I think a few updates could make the space feel more welcoming. Story time. I grew up in Clarkston, and we came here allllll the time. For lunch, dinner, afternoon snacks, anything. My mom also had Pita Way catered for lots of parties. The entire staff and owner knew my family well. Then, we moved to a different state. About a year after moving, my mom was back in town and stopped by her old favorite restaurant. As soon as she walked in the door, the owner (or maybe manager) saw her and said "Miss Heidi! Where have you been?! We miss you!" Anyways, if that doesn't tell you how integral Pita Way is to my family, nothing will. I've never found a spot quite as good for quick service pita sandwiches in the 10 years since we moved away. Everything is very affordable and they don't skimp on portions. The tourshi & pickled turnips are a must! I've been coming here for years--the original location! They have awesome and tasty food. I love their rice pilaf (with the almonds and raisins), pita chips, garlic sauce, spicy hummus, chicken kafta, chicken shawarma, and fattoush salad--their house-made ranch is amazing! Staff is always super helpful and friendly. We always get a mini combo since we can never decide on just one thing and it will feed you for a few meals. I have introduced many people to middle eastern food via Pita Way and everyone has loved it. Also love that once a year they have a customer appreciation day and sell their gift cards for half off. I have waited a year to eat here since the pandemic and today I finally got the chance...I was totally disappointed to find out they have tried to Americanize their menu. Boo! Those of use that love this great place don't want our middle eastern food Americanized...we want it the traditional way using the traditional terms like shawarma and tawook...we want taziki...not ranch dressing disguised as some American concoction called "white sauce." Used to enjoy this place until they raised their prices long b4 today's inflation and then instituted online ordering which takes 5x longer than by phone. I always end up calling with questions anyway and it's ridiculous that they won't take my order then. The food is still about the same but they really shorted me on the rice on my last visit. I'd go more often but it's such a pain ordering online. You know many of us can't afford top of the line phones and my "disservice" with At&t is like having 56k dial up c.1999 so the website is slow n hesitant. Pita Way offers Mediterranean-style food prepared either as a pita, salad, rice bowl, or grilled sandwich. I opted for the chicken schwarma and gyro lamb meat on hummus and tabbouli salad platter. I asked for all of the toppings as well as a side of French fries. The good: the fries, hummus, and salad toppings were delicious. Fries took a little longer than everything else but they came out fresh, so they must have been fried to order. Can't complain about this. The disappointing part was the taste of the meat. The lamb gyro meat was borderline cold and almost too tough to chew. It did not taste right. And the chicken schwarma did not taste fresh. read more

This is a great fast casual lunch spot for authentic middle eastern cuisine done right. They have a great set up giving the customer unlimited healthy choices with classic sandwiches or salad bowls all priced under $10. Place was super busy and the staff did a great job getting thru the lines as quickly as they could. The chicken & beef were juicy and full of flavor and I highly recommend heir trademark dish, the QuesoPita - it was the first time I've had something like it. We also tried the hummus and tabouli bowl with white chicken meat and it was very good. Ask them to add Cheyenne pepper if you like it a little hot. They've got a few locations in the area and I was happy to learn they offer catering. Something we will definitely take advantage of in the future with our clients. There are two main reasons that Pita Way is on carry out the rotation in our house. One: The mini combo tray. It is the best deal when you can find a coupon out there for $19.99. It feeds our family of five- especially if you add a side of hummus or baba. Two: There is something on the menu for even the pickiest of eaters. So while I am in my falafel heaven my kiddos can eat souped up chicken strips aka crispy chicken. On Pita Way night there is never even a hint of complaint! We've been going to Pita Way in Clarkston almost since Brandon opened it and way before he franchised it. We've been very happy with this place and really enjoy the change of pace it offers to the other fast food in the area (burgers, subs, and pizza). There's a good mix of wraps and salads, as well as bowls and a sort of quesadilla like item. They offer a good selection of meats. I particularly like the chicken shawarma, the beef or chicken Kafta, and from time to time the falafel. My son likes the crispy chicken and my wife likes the chicken Tawook. All are good. Most of the items are made on-site and are all very fresh and healthier than other fast food. A good selection of toppings are available and the sauces are all excellent. I particularly like to mix the 'white sauce' (a homemade ranch) mixed with tahini and some sumac. They also have hot pepper dashes you can add if you're feeling a little spicy. I particularly like the ability to make it a combo with a soup and a drink. The soups are excellent! They have what I'd say is the best lemon rice soup I think I've ever had! The curry soup is also nice with a nice heat to it. I've never had them, but people also love the fire fries, which are French fries tossed with a spicy sauce. The only knocks I'd give would be that it sometimes takes a while to get through the line because the employees are busy with call in or internet orders. The other minor issue is that as they grow they are trying to streamline the menu a little so old favorites of my wife like chickpeas and olives and the very nice Caesar salad dressing are now not on the menu. In addition the constant turnover(not really their fault these days) tends to lead to an uneven experience sometimes. Sometimes you get a good server who puts everything together correctly and sometimes not so much. Overall a great change of pace for a healthier Mediterranean fast food choice.
