I don't know why I should expect better for a sandwich. I got the toasted chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The bread itself toasted perfectly but what's inside was very disappointing. You'll see a little bit of bacon but the chicken basically nonexistent. All you will see it bunch of lettuce. What you get vs from the picture is a total lie. Stopped by for a quick bite, but left with a bad taste in my mouth and not from the food. The staff were friendly and seemed to be doing their best, but the manager was shockingly rude to a customer for no apparent reason. The whole place went quiet and even the employees looked uncomfortable, like this wasn't the first time he'd acted that way. Won't be coming back as long as he's in charge. read more

Very disappointing. Just went in today, 04/02/2025 tried to order a sandwich. Waited for a bit, the manager was out front interviewing a potential new employee. He noticed me waiting, summoned someone to the register to take my order. She pointed up at the menu. I placed my order, a #9, no onion, no oil & vinegar, mayo only and extra hot peppers. I had to repeat the order, she then asked another employee to help her. After he did, she asked if I wanted the meat on the sandwich ? At this point I walked out. Very poor service. ordered my usual lunch, a favorites combo, from drive thru. menu board said that it was $11.95. Got to the window and was charged $13.20. I asked the drive thru guy if the menu was incorrect. he said "no, its correct" as he handed my debit card, which he dropped onto the ground and my food and closed the window. dropping my card didn't bother me, but he would not explain to me why my lunch was $1.30 more than it should be. Didnt want to keep line backed up, so drove a couple blocks and looked at my receipt. he charged me for every item, not the combo price. i called the store and whomever i spoke to agreed but didnt even offer to fix it. I have been a fan of Jimmy John's for years. Their sandwiches have gotten progressively worse and so has their customer service. I also came in today to redeem my free birthday sandwich and they wouldn't give it to me because I accidentally entered my birthday incorrectly in the app years ago. I showed them my ID to prove that my birthday is today, but instead they were rude to me and told me they can't do anything about that. I've worked in places that offer free birthday items and I couldn't imagine just refusing someone their free birthday item even after they showed me their ID. The guy at the register was very rude, I wish I would've gotten the other cashier because he seemed to be the only friendly one there. Very upsetting and extremely disappointing. I went in to apply for a job in person today was even going to get food but the manager on duty was super disrespectful to me. Not sure if it was the color of my skin or what but he denied me a job application because of my religious tattoos. I have been going to Jimmy John's for over 23 years and this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I ordered a giant turkey slim add provolone. When I got home only half of it had cheese. So I called the store to complain and to order my husband and son another sandwich. She said she would add another giant turkey slim with cheese to the order and deliver it. About 15 minutes goes by and there is a knock at the door and there is only one sandwich in the bag. It's my turkey slim but only half of it and it has lettuce and tomato on it (I didn't find that out till the middle of Idaho because I was saving it for lunch the next day).So I called the store and she said they were waiting on a driver to come pick up the other sandwiches and deliver them. So I wait 20 minutes and call back, they are still waiting for the driver. So I waited another 20 minutes and they said the driver never showed up so they threw our food away. Thank God I'll NEVER be back in that area again. I think it's time for new employees. read more

I called them and attempted to place an order for delivery. I was informed by the unfriendly employee on the other end of the phone that they don't deliver beyond a 2 mile radius from their store. Are you kidding me? Why even offer delivery then? What's the point of offering delivery when the only people you'll deliver to are already within walking distance? The ridiculousness of this is compounded by the fact that my house is only 2.5 miles from their store. (It's a 5 minute drive, even during rush hour traffic.) I can only imagine how much business they're cheating themselves out of this way. And honestly, their sandwiches are nothing special. I had figured they might be able to make up for in convenience what they lack in quality, but apparently they offer neither convenience nor quality. Will not patronize again. read more

I like their sandwiches...If they could ever get one right! The order taker takes your order, meanwhile the sandwich maker has already started the sandwich. And usually gets it wrong. Example: I order a Veggie sandwich, no mayo, on wheat bread, with peppers, the sandwich maker had already started a veggie sandwich on french bread with mayo! The model at Subway, works much better, when you speak directly to the sandwich maker while the sandwich is being made. I have never had a decently, correct sandwich ever made from this store! Frustrating! The other problem, is the deafening hard rock music being played at this store. Yes, I like music. But it is literally like being at a rock concert. My friend works there. So I always try to give them a chance if I'm within range of their delivery (laughable at best). Used to get really good sandwiches. Lately they are just bland super bland very little meat. HEAPS ON TOP OF HEAPS of WET WET WET lettuce. I get my sandwich and it's soaked. On the rare occasion I don't get a wet sandwich and actually get to eat it. Like I said, so bland, no flavor at all, very little meat. Not worth the big money they charge you for a sandwich. They make a good sandwich. The most memorable part of eating at this Jimmy John's was that a priest was at the next table over.

Once we walked into the door it took the staff a good 30 seconds to recognize our arrival. They looked overstaffed for the time of day, as it wasn't busy whatsoever. The staff were all standing around talking. Once we were recognized and our order was placed we received our subs and sat down on the cleanest table we could find, which had leftover crumbs on it. My sub didn't have enough meat. My wife's sub was flavorless. I'd recommend you lighten your staffing, it would allow for less conversation and in turn give better guest service. Freaky Fast Delivery... if you are in a 10 Block radius... Absolutely will not deliver more than 10 blocks away in any direction. I asked them to deliver 2.2 miles and still within the 59601 Zip code, and not only was it not offered for an up charge or a minimum order, but flat out NO. I could understand if it was during the lunch rush, that they wouldn't be able to make exceptions, but this was at 3pm. Serious? I avoided this place for a while because I thought it was going to be the same, run-of-the-mill sub shop as any other one. I finally caved when I got a recommendation from a friend. I am so bummed it took me so long to go! This place is awesome, from when you first walk in to when you finish your sub! The music playing is simply great! I love that you are greeted with a smile the moment you walk through the door and it's even better that my sub is ready before I've even finished paying! The bread is awesome and it's not like you have "good days" and "bad days". It's ALWAYS awesome! the ingredients taste fresh. I also just LOVE LOVE LOVE their ice machine. Seriously, the ice makes the soda folks! It's fun to sit in the restaurant and look at the signs they have hanging while listening to music that I grew up listening to. I'm from Indianapolis, so when I saw the Jimmy John's sign I was so happy! I have loved every jimmy john's I've been to and the new Helena location is no exception. I'm a little sad that they no longer have bean sprouts, but the sandwiches are delicious. I love the classic french bread and my husband gets his sandwich on the 7 grain wheat. The only problem that I have with this jimmy johns location is that they close at 9pm. I loved that the locations that I used to go to when I lived in other cities were open very late. (I marked that they cater because they do make large sandwich trays for parties and meetings as well as boxed lunches for large groups that they will deliver) read more
