Ordered dessert only! Sign outside says each $1.89 but when u get to window they say they're $2.20 each..wow..and workers are rude, Mgr said he didn't care what it says outside, what the register says is. Unbelievable! Came from out of town and they need to be reported!

I'm used to getting my Jimmy Johns freaky fast and freaky fresh! But not this time, i'm not sure what's happened to Jimmy Johns, but this was disappointing for sure! It took about 30 minutes to arrive and when it got here it was underwhelming and skimpy! There's barely any avocado on my Beach Club, which is the star of the show and the only reason I get this sandwich. It wasn't terrible, just nothing like the quality I am accustomed to here.

When arriving to the establishment found a group of guys and one lady who were workers all outside in a blue car doing drugs, when walking into the business i was greeted by the gentleman working the register while another man was cutting fresh meat prepping. After placing my order thinking the same guy taking my order would be making my sandwich i was disappointed when the same groups of team members outside came right in not to wash their hands and put gloves on and start making sandwiches quickly. Sadly i paid for the food and had to trash it walking out totally disgusted.

It was ok. I've been to a JJ's before and it is about what I expected. I was craving the Unwich (sandwich in lettuce leafs vice bread) when I came in and it filled that want. It's quick and easy but the staff weren't very friendly - they were just there. Average experience.

Mayo missiles! WAY too much mayo.

The O.G.B.L.T. is the way to go. It's a hot and melty sandwich with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato,…read morepepper jack cheese and mayo, all on a hoagie bun. The sandwich is about as long as my humerus, and I ate the whole dang thing in one sitting. New York Gourmet Deli is not to be confused with NY Gourmet Deli, also in Indy. New York Gourmet Deli is located on East 21st Street on the near east side; NY Gourmet Deli is on Ruckle Street, near The Children's Museum. Are they owned by the same people? I don't know, but someone needs to change their name so I'm less confused. Anyway, New York Gourmet Deli, on the east side, is great and located in an unassuming parking lot full of potholes. It looks like a liquor store from the outside, but step inside and you'll see the large deli counter where you order sandwiches, burgers, fries and other foods. The joint is also a convenience store, of sorts, with a wall full of refrigerated beverages, aisles of chips, candy, and lots of Mexican snacks. There's also a little corner of the store with goods like laundry detergent and other necessities. The hustle here is unmatched. The fellows behind the counter were flying all over the kitchen to fulfill the orders. I visited around noon on a weekday, which seemed to be a busy time because there were lots of people from all walks of life here, either waiting to order or waiting for their orders. The guys behind the counter were unflappable and took orders and made sandwiches at a speedy pace. Even if there's a line, you won't wait long for your food.

Service was very good with only a slight wait due to a small line. You order, they start making your order and you pay. A few minutes later the have everything ready and bagged up. I got a chopped cheese, it does reminded me of a sloppy Joe, and my only complaint was I wanted more lettuce and tomato. Richelle got the east coast roast beef and cheddar. She loved it and it had plenty of lettuce and tomato. Fries are good, and the give them a sprinkle of seasoning too. Plenty of cans of pop to choose, but would like to see a few diet pop options added. We will definitely come back, and I ask for plenty of toppings.

I've struggled with how to rate and review Goose the Market for a long time…read more I've struggled mightily. It's an Indianapolis icon in many ways. It's beloved. And listen, it's not the most wheelchair friendly place in the world. If you're a wheelchair user, you're in all likelihood not going to the cellar unless you're extraordinary with you're chair or you crawl. I remember attending a Yelp event here, and I just wrestled with these issues so much. It's not inaccessible - you can get in the door, though even the parking is a bit wonky and the curb-cuts a bit worn. This is an older building in an older neighborhood. So yeah, if you're a wheelchair user plan ahead. I am a wheelchair user. And I suppose I should knock off my usual 1-star for accessibility issues. But, I just can't do it. I, instead, choose to go 5-stars with my narrative disclaimer that there are accessibility issues here. But, my word. This is a great place and every single experience I've had with Goose the Market, including last night's Italian Film Festival, has been stellar whether I'm in their location or at an event they are catering. What is Goose the Market? First off, nearly everyone considers it one of the best - Indianapolis Monthly, Eater, Yelp, etc. Goose the Market offers a daily menu of sandwiches, soups, gelato, and small plates. It offers raw beef, pork, poultry, game, seafood, in-house made sausage/smoked meats, and more. It offers charcuterie - both in-house and from other producers. It offers farmstead cheeses, fresh produce, artisan breads, preserves, sauces, pickles, pasta, crackers, flours/grains, and a lot more. There's the cellar - Enoteca bar with Italian style wine by the glass and small plates (and it has all-ages seating). Goose the Market offers a wine of the month club, gift cards, catering, classes, daily specials, and more. What can I say? There are those places that are worth the effort. As a lifelong person with a disability, I long ago realized the world would never be perfectly accessible. It's never going to happen. I'll continue to work toward a more accessible world, though I'll also honor that there are those places where I feel welcome anyway. I feel welcome at Goose the Market, though I can't quite get the full experience. The service is exceptional, the products quite awesome, the environment warm and friendly, and there's simply no doubt it's one of Indy's treasures. So yeah, five stars. With a disclaimer that those with mobility impairments may need to plan ahead or have a companion along. Who wants to be my companion?

I have recently been to Goose twice, both for different things. The first visit was for the bacon…read moremaking class, and the second was to pick up my bacon, and trying some of the sandwiches they have. Bacon making class: overall I am glad I did the class, but think there are some things that could change. The information provided at the beginning of the class didn't flow the best, and used a lot of terms I didn't understand- knowing your audience is important. We were told we would get 1.5lbs bacon, and .5lbs bacon bits. When picking up the bacon, we only got the bacon, and none of the bits. This needs to be updated on the class description. Sandwiches: we tried a goose, and a batalli. The goose was good- nothing spectacular. I was a fan of the batalli- nice amount of mayo, appropriate spice, and good amount of meat/cheese. Would definitely get the batalli next time. Overall, I enjoy the sandwiches, think the sandwich class could be improved.

They disappeared fast, came served on paper, and were crispy, hot, and delicious. We ordered the 2 10-piece wings (the biggest order available), including one batch cooked extra crispy. The wings were good, and I especially enjoyed the Fat Dan's hot BBQ sauce over the regular BBQ. I really liked the extra crispy wings. My boys also wanted burgers. One ordered the Wake N Bake Burger and the other got the Fat Dan's Burger. Both looked tasty, and neither of them complained. The ambiance strikes a nice balance between sports bar and family friendly restaurant.
