We hit up this location coming back from vacation and the drive thru was packed so we ate inside. Service was a little slow but the food was on point for the most part. I asked for loaded fries and they only put cheese on them but I am sure it was just an oversight. read more

We went to White Castle last night for their Valentines dinner. We made reservations for 5:30pm and we were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress brought us a menu and took our drink order. We picked the #9 combo for dinner. It was 10 white castles, 20 chicken rings and a sack of fries. Our waitress brought out our food, the burgers were fresh. The chicken rings and fries were hot but the chicken rings were over cooked and the fries were undercooked. After we were done eating we paid our waitress and we were done. They had a couple of photo opportunities set up so of course we took pictures. Plus the restaurant was decorated with hearts and lots of pink and red. Flowers, candles and gold fish were the centerpieces. It was cute and something different to do. read more

Great food. Really great. But let me tell you this, absolutely do not order online. They refuse to make your order until you actually get there even if it's already paid for. They print off the ticket and just sit it on the table. Then when you arrive, your order is pushed back and around every single order that is being taken or has been taken. No exaggeration here, I order and they say come in 15 minutes. I come in 17 minutes. I waited the most recent time for 14 after I arrived and 18 minutes after I arrived the previous time for my food. People order in drive thru AND in store got their order way before mine. I never have over 3 sandwiches so it's not the size of my order. It's just the fact that it's an online order. Ordered a #3 small with a coked fries , very simple. After asking me if I would like to add probably 6 different things she finally told me to pull around. Then she said "so a #3 , Diet Coke and onion rings" I told her no just a normal #3 and a normal coke that was it, I repeated it 4 times. After getting to work I checked my bag. Employees were not professional in the slightest. The cashier did not inform us of any upcharge before running our card. She was upset because we asked for a refund and took her time to do so and then shorted us $10. White Castle's are good for the nostalgic value on their sliders. I've had their BBQ pork sandwich for a $1, and now their breakfast (bacon cheese egg) sandwich for $1.62. They were both tiny (should we ever expect any different?) and pretty poor values, thus the 2 star rating. I like having them around for the occasional slider craving, and I do hope they can all stay in business. This one is clean, and particularly convenient though for a coffee stop when headed into the Motor Speedway from south Lynhurst Drive. read more

Being a fast food fan (even though I recognize what it's doing to my body), I had a Harold and Kumar moment when I saw the magical white sign while looking for a late dinner after a series of flight delays. Never having fresh sliders before, we went straight from the Airport to this White Castle, guided by my GPS. On our first visit it was just past midnight and after getting our order taken in drive through, we waited at the window for over 15 minutes. Did they forget about us? Luckily, this was our only drive through experience. We dined in a few times here during the day and service was much better. A tip for everyone: Sliders are not good 10 minutes after they are served. When they are cold, they lose their magic. I now believe my wife when she last flew back from there and did not bring sliders... It just isn't edible if it is fresh. read more

Being from the west coast we don't have White Castles near us, so when we visited Indy we were super excited to give it a try. Well it was gross....nothing about it was appealing. Not only that but some of the workers who were on break we practically laying in the booths (feet kicked up, head on tables). I've been coming to this White Castle for 11 years and have always been treated well and they have always accepted the online specials if I call in first. But today I wasn't worried about any specials we just wanted a quick dinner. My bill was $30,I asked for extra sauces and Justin got an attitude and said he can't give extra sauce. My wife loves WC and any time we head to Indy or over to the west side of Indiana we always hit WC and get some cheeseburgers meals. Which we did while we were in Indy this past Monday night. Just about every restaurant we stop at service is quick and spot in correct. The only problem I have with WC is they won't put a restaurant in my town Fort Wayne, IN. I've called several times asking when - When and When - and the answer I always get is the demographics for WC are not right in Fort Wayne. Not sure what they mean but I know a lot of people here in Fort Wayne that just live WC and stop and get burgers just like we do when traveling.
