They come in an oil or something and because capsaicin (the molecule that you taste as "hot") is water soluble, it hits you so hard and makes the sandwich WAY too spicy. This is the last time I order from this Potbelly location. Mobile orders from here are a nightmare. It's tough to even get anyone to acknowledge you at the mobile order pick up. My mobile order was supposed to be ready at 12:17. It took over 20 mins longer than expected. It was one powerhouse salad. After waiting all that time, it's wrong. It's full of bacon and there are bleu cheese chunks stuck to the hummus. This salad doesn't come with blue cheese or bacon. I've ordered here through the app multiple times now. It should not take over 20 minutes to order a simple sandwich for pickup. Today it took over 25 minutes in order to get my sandwich. What's the point of app ordering if you can't fulfill the order in some set of time? I sat in the restaurant for 15 minutes while they prepared a large order for catering. I've never had any problems here before, BUT tonight, i ordered Uber eats from here. Upon receipt of the order, I opened the bag and noticed they did not include an entire sandwich. I had the meatball sandwich and a farmhouse salad with Potbelly vinaigrette. I also had a short shake in Oreo. My sandwich was good and filling although a bit messy. The salad was in a good size bowl for the money. The shake was good and it had a little cookie on top of it! If you are looking for a quick and tasty lunch this is a good place to go. First off I absolutely love Wendy's food But this location on Thompson and Emerson is absolutely the worst location I have ever been to. So unprofessional it's sickening. I should not pull up to the drive through and all over the intercom system they swearing and cursing so loud and I have littl kids in the car hearing all this foul language. They also messed up my order several times and refused to fix it. Even the new manager is unprofessional trying to flirt and talk to my wife while she is trying to get our order fixed. This was the last straw. Something needs to be done corporate management needs to really look into this store and hire all new staff! I'm upset to spend my hard earned money and not get my food correctly fixed on more than one occasion and the terrible customer service is insane. Delicious and very rapid service. This downtown location gets a lot of traffic during the lunch hour, but the energy and demeanor of all the staff make the waits or hiccups minimal. I typically order ahead and do a pick-up. Usually in and out within 5 minutes of stepping in the door. They have quite a bit of seating and tables, while some end up very close to the long lines that happen at lunch. I remember eating Potbelly at least weekly while at Purdue; coming here brings back lots of exciting memories. Next, I need to do is order a shake with the mini cooking around the straw!
