Bacon in the salad and blue cheese chunks in the hummus. This salad comes with neither.
Amy H.

This is the last time I order from this Potbelly location. Mobile orders from here are a nightmare. It's tough to even get anyone to acknowledge you at the mobile order pick up. My mobile order was supposed to be ready at 12:17. It took over 20 mins longer than expected. It was one powerhouse salad. After waiting all that time, it's wrong. It's full of bacon and there are bleu cheese chunks stuck to the hummus. This salad doesn't come with blue cheese or bacon. It looks like someone started making a different salad then switched half way. Super disappointed. Won't be back.

Prime rib steak sandwich

I've stopped in before but the line was too long so this time lucked out as there were less people due to the cold. I got the prime rib steak sandwich toasted and the food was delicious. The inside of the store is a bit tight but there's a good amount of seating and its bright and comfortable and not too loud. Ill probably eat here again as I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich though next time I'll add peppers.

Mama's Meatball

I ordered through GrubHub for lunch at work and everything was as I ordered and packaged well. I ordered the meatball sub. It was good, but smelled and tasted a lot more like pizza sauce than marinara sauce like I was expecting. Still good though! The bread was soft and the sandwich was built well, only minimal drippage which is pretty good for a meatball sub with sauce. I would probably order it again.

Very clean, bright, right on the circle Service was good though there was a backup with orders. Young lady divided the line to online and in person. Was smoother. The sandwich was good but A LOT spicier than I expected. It was good, but not one I would order again. The chicken pot pie soup was interesting with the crust inside it. Also, it needed salt. Nice little place

I was in downtown Indy and decided to stop and grab myself a sandwich from Potbelly's. I am very familiar with Potbelly's, but this is my first visit to this location. I ordered an original turkey & Swiss on wheat bread with added mushrooms. The sandwich was perfect and exactly how i remember it from back home in the western suburbs of Chicago! I wish I didn't live so far away from this location, but I will definitely make some extra effort to get back over here for some more yummy sandwiches!

I ordered Potbelly from Ubereats this week and it wasn't my favorite sandwich. I got the Italian sandwich and also the wreck just to try a few styles. The Italian sandwich was so dry and could definitely use a sauce. The bread didn't seem to be freshly baked and so I would probably choose another fast casual sandwich shop next time.

Potbelly is always a quick go to for lunch. They're located downtown at monument circle. I decided to arrive right at 11am when they opened to avoid the crowds. There is a decent amount of inside seating if you want to eat there. I ordered the Veggie Melt which comes with mushrooms, provolone cheese, swiss cheese, and avocado. Once your sandwich is heated you have the option to add additional toppings. I added tomato and Italian seasoning. This sandwich was so yummy! Friendly and fast service every time.

Can't walk in and order with only a 30 minute lunch. Way too slow and they don't seem to care.

I went with a Malibu and ginger ale, and it was served in this cute glass, I loved it! We were all so hungry, so we started out with a large order of fries, and they are a standout. They disappeared fast, came served on paper, and were crispy, hot, and delicious. We ordered the 2 10-piece wings (the biggest order available), including one batch cooked extra crispy. The wings were good, and I especially enjoyed the Fat Dan's hot BBQ sauce over the regular BBQ. I really liked the extra crispy wings. My boys also wanted burgers. One ordered the Wake N Bake Burger and the other got the Fat Dan's Burger. Both looked tasty, and neither of them complained. The ambiance strikes a nice balance between sports bar and family friendly restaurant. There is seating both inside and outside, and when the weather is nice, they open the large doors to create an open-air feel. That's where we sat, and I enjoyed it. Service was quick and efficient, which was much appreciated since my family arrived hungry. This is a solid spot for burgers, wings, and fries.

It's very cool on the inside with vintage and Indiana-themed decor, tin ceilings, and, of course, a potbelly stove. The staff were friendly. But brother and I were very confused about the ordering process. There wasn't a lot of directional signage showing where to start and each step of the process. I watched a few other customers go through and they didn't seem like they had a problem so maybe it was just us. Next time I would probably just order online and pick it up so I could avoid the in-person ordering process altogether. I had the turkey sandwich and it was pretty good. I would say definitely a step up from your typical sub sandwich chain in terms of flavor and toppings options. I tried the chili mac as well. The chili is definitely à la Wendy's but I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was good as well. I'd probably get either on its own but not together again. I also tried the Potbelly/Zapp's collab chips, the Hot Pepper flavor. They were good but are definitely not for everyone. When I visited, most of their fountain soda options were out of order so I settled on a no sugar added Pineapple Passionfruit juice/soda which was actually pretty good. We'll definitely be back - especially to try out their milkshakes!

The sandwich is about as long as my humerus, and I ate the whole dang thing in one sitting. New York Gourmet Deli is not to be confused with NY Gourmet Deli, also in Indy. New York Gourmet Deli is located on East 21st Street on the near east side; NY Gourmet Deli is on Ruckle Street, near The Children's Museum. Are they owned by the same people? I don't know, but someone needs to change their name so I'm less confused. Anyway, New York Gourmet Deli, on the east side, is great and located in an unassuming parking lot full of potholes. It looks like a liquor store from the outside, but step inside and you'll see the large deli counter where you order sandwiches, burgers, fries and other foods. The joint is also a convenience store, of sorts, with a wall full of refrigerated beverages, aisles of chips, candy, and lots of Mexican snacks. There's also a little corner of the store with goods like laundry detergent and other necessities. The hustle here is unmatched. The fellows behind the counter were flying all over the kitchen to fulfill the orders. I visited around noon on a weekday, which seemed to be a busy time because there were lots of people from all walks of life here, either waiting to order or waiting for their orders. The guys behind the counter were unflappable and took orders and made sandwiches at a speedy pace. Even if there's a line, you won't wait long for your food.

Service was very good with only a slight wait due to a small line. You order, they start making your order and you pay. A few minutes later the have everything ready and bagged up. I got a chopped cheese, it does reminded me of a sloppy Joe, and my only complaint was I wanted more lettuce and tomato. Richelle got the east coast roast beef and cheddar. She loved it and it had plenty of lettuce and tomato. Fries are good, and the give them a sprinkle of seasoning too. Plenty of cans of pop to choose, but would like to see a few diet pop options added. We will definitely come back, and I ask for plenty of toppings.

I've struggled with how to rate and review Goose the Market for a long time…read more I've struggled mightily. It's an Indianapolis icon in many ways. It's beloved. And listen, it's not the most wheelchair friendly place in the world. If you're a wheelchair user, you're in all likelihood not going to the cellar unless you're extraordinary with you're chair or you crawl. I remember attending a Yelp event here, and I just wrestled with these issues so much. It's not inaccessible - you can get in the door, though even the parking is a bit wonky and the curb-cuts a bit worn. This is an older building in an older neighborhood. So yeah, if you're a wheelchair user plan ahead. I am a wheelchair user. And I suppose I should knock off my usual 1-star for accessibility issues. But, I just can't do it. I, instead, choose to go 5-stars with my narrative disclaimer that there are accessibility issues here. But, my word. This is a great place and every single experience I've had with Goose the Market, including last night's Italian Film Festival, has been stellar whether I'm in their location or at an event they are catering. What is Goose the Market? First off, nearly everyone considers it one of the best - Indianapolis Monthly, Eater, Yelp, etc. Goose the Market offers a daily menu of sandwiches, soups, gelato, and small plates. It offers raw beef, pork, poultry, game, seafood, in-house made sausage/smoked meats, and more. It offers charcuterie - both in-house and from other producers. It offers farmstead cheeses, fresh produce, artisan breads, preserves, sauces, pickles, pasta, crackers, flours/grains, and a lot more. There's the cellar - Enoteca bar with Italian style wine by the glass and small plates (and it has all-ages seating). Goose the Market offers a wine of the month club, gift cards, catering, classes, daily specials, and more. What can I say? There are those places that are worth the effort. As a lifelong person with a disability, I long ago realized the world would never be perfectly accessible. It's never going to happen. I'll continue to work toward a more accessible world, though I'll also honor that there are those places where I feel welcome anyway. I feel welcome at Goose the Market, though I can't quite get the full experience. The service is exceptional, the products quite awesome, the environment warm and friendly, and there's simply no doubt it's one of Indy's treasures. So yeah, five stars. With a disclaimer that those with mobility impairments may need to plan ahead or have a companion along. Who wants to be my companion?

I have recently been to Goose twice, both for different things. The first visit was for the bacon…read moremaking class, and the second was to pick up my bacon, and trying some of the sandwiches they have. Bacon making class: overall I am glad I did the class, but think there are some things that could change. The information provided at the beginning of the class didn't flow the best, and used a lot of terms I didn't understand- knowing your audience is important. We were told we would get 1.5lbs bacon, and .5lbs bacon bits. When picking up the bacon, we only got the bacon, and none of the bits. This needs to be updated on the class description. Sandwiches: we tried a goose, and a batalli. The goose was good- nothing spectacular. I was a fan of the batalli- nice amount of mayo, appropriate spice, and good amount of meat/cheese. Would definitely get the batalli next time. Overall, I enjoy the sandwiches, think the sandwich class could be improved.
