We got a quote to get the gearshift selector cable and the neutral safety switch replaced: $534.88 in labour and $1121.20 in parts plus HST. We said go ahead. Then, when they tried to replace the parts, THEY BROKE THE BOLT and said the only way to fix it is to pay additional $3000 to get the transmission replaced. We told them this was unacceptable so they said they'd just weld the broken bolt back together, without installing the parts. They said they couldn't return the parts so ended up charging us the full $1121.20 plus HST for the parts which we ended up taking home with us. Then, on top of that, they had the audacity to charge us $484.88 plus HST for labour, ie the original quote for REPLACING the parts minus a $50 discount, ie. THEY DID NOT REPLACE THE PARTS BUT CHARGED US FOR THAT WORK ANYHOW. This is absolutely outrageous. They should have charged us for the welding if anything which I cannot imagine being this expensive. Overall a terrible experience. I feel we've been taken advantage of.

I had previously called CAA (rip off), Visited Canadian Tire (double rip off) and even had a fleeting thought about going back to the dealership... HA!!!! (See my review of Islington Chrysler for more details). But when I called AG+R the gent (Eugene) I spoke with was friendly, helpful and gave a quick quote and timeline. I came in right before opening at 8am and they were already taking people in to get them assessed, quoted and into the queue so parts could be ordered and customers serviced promptly at opening. There were two prices for a replacement battery, acceptable and Canadian Tire Crazy (CTC). I opted for the more reasonable price, the battery was ordered and delivered within 15 minutes. $280 all in about 25 minutes later I was paid up and back in my car and on my way. Boom. Car is running great again, and I really appreciated how they tried their best to find an affordable quality option to get me on my way as quickly as possible. Look forward to taking my future business here as it's close to home and offer great service.

Although the manager was aware that this is a problem, the mechanic didn't, and so didn't flag it for us. When we took the car to another mechanic in the Fall to change back to the winter tires, we were made aware of the risk of hairline cracks on the rims that can result from this going forward. Jiffy Lube's Manager failed to take responsibility, saying it is up to the customer to flag this and supply the lug nuts.

For reasons I can't fathom, a technician handed my father's keys to a stranger who promptly drove off and stole the car. The staff's reaction was completely apathetic; they offered no apology, no assistance, and no refund for the service he had just paid for. Because of their actions, my father had to go through his own insurance at great personal expense to replace the vehicle. Worse, the thief is actively driving the car, leaving my father to deal with the ongoing nightmare of toll charges and traffic tickets arriving in his name. If you value your property, avoid this establishment at all costs.

Without getting into detail that might have other people asking for the special treatment I got, they made sure I got home so that I could finish up my workday, and REALLY went out of their way to do so. Car stuff's always going to be expensive - I'm not sure I'd trust cut-rate brake service, anyway - but their pricing is always reasonable and well-explained, and I have never gone away feeling like they've done something I didn't need or that I'd paid for something silly. They have sold me the car recently with the fake safety certificate…read more Two days later the dangerous issues was found by a mechanic in the car -rear shoks were leaking, rear brake leaking, exhaust hanger broken, front coil spring broken. The car could not have passed the safety test it was a dangerous to drive this car on the road. After I have returned this car to the dealer and question how the safety test was passed, I did not received any explanations. Be mindfull the dealer put this car back on sale immidiately and they selling it with tyhe " safety passed".
