So I was out and just decided to look on Yelp and this shop came up. I called and was able to get in the next day for a structured nail set on my natural nails and a pedicure. What I really like was that she does everything you can think of so if you want the gel x she does, acrylic she does that, and she goes the structured gel which is what I got. I am trying to grow my nails back out again and this works so well and I can't wait to see my nails grow. The pedicure was so great and the manicure she did very well especially with the cuticle work. I've never had anyone do the cuticles and nail foundation work as well as she did. As the pictures show I I got French on nails and feet. The only thing I would say that maybe it's just me and I use my hands too much, but the French didn't last long. It's already peeling...but other than that I love my nails. Can't wait until they get longer so I can get them almond shape!

I read the reviews, looked at the pictures, and thought... hmm, let me try it. I called, and she was taking walk-ins. At first, I honestly couldn't tell if it was a salon or what because I wasn't familiar with those buildings that have multiple mini businesses inside--but now? I'm completely sold. She was amazing. A M A Z I N G. The service was refreshing. She listened, asked questions, and made sure I was 100% happy with my length, shape, and style. I never felt rushed, and the conversation was great. She loves Christ, and the whole atmosphere was peaceful, chill, and welcoming. It's a smaller space since it's just her, but please don't let that stop you--it's not uncomfortable or crowded at all. Honestly, it makes the experience feel more personal. And bonus--there are so many other small businesses inside! While I was there, I got my son's haircut and my daughter's hair braided by neighboring businesses. Super convenient. I looove my nails and my toes! Definitely worth checking her out at least once--you'll probably keep going back. She takes appointments and walk-ins. I didn't take pictures because she's still getting settled and setting everything up, but trust me... go. Support small businesses. Woman-owned. Black-owned

The downsides: You have to pay for whatever you order in full or you wont get booked. I was more than willing to overlook the glaring spelling errors on her website and hoped that the lack of attention to detail there did not extend to her service. I have natural hair, and Joi gave me a blowout and style. It left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, I am not so gracious to overlook unwanted impositions on customers. The owner, Joi, never disclosed that she has a dog (an adorable poodle) on premises and that it has a full free range while clients are present, including jumping on their laps. This is very inconsiderate to some customers. Those of us who have allergies, fear of dogs, or a simple preference not to be around any animal that isn't their pet, our desires are clearly disregarded by Joi not asking our permission or informing us before booking. I was also dismayed watching her style clients who have relaxed hair and also having to smell the burnt hair and burnt product. She had people waiting and waiting under the dryers and kept me waiting almost 45 minutes because she was not ready for me. While I go out of my way to support my fellow African American business owners, I will not recommend or return, but I will say to anyone reading this far down, to make your own choice and judge the results yourself should you go to Joi.

I went from relaxed to natural, had an illness which caused significant hair loss and Joi was there every step of the way. She will not just go along with what you say if she doesn't believe it's in your best interest (thankfully) without giving you an alternative and why. all of my kids have been to her when they wanted to try something new or just needed to get the hair out of their eyes. I highly recommend her to everyone for themselves and their family.
