Recently moved to the area, was in need of a new barber. Saw the reviews for Inspire Barbershop and decided to give it a try. Scheduled appt for 12:30, showed up early and the staff serviced me right away. Walking in, the staff were very polite and helpful, seated me right away for my hair cut. Described what I wanted done, just a fade and trim. Miley was the staff member who gave me the hair cut. She was absolutely amazing. The level of expertise I witnessed as she blended and sculpted my hair cut was phenomenal. She was so dialed into the hair cut, was very precise and took care of me! It was about a 15-20 minute hair cut but it felt like time flew by with just watching her display her skills! She made sure all the loose hair was off of me, gave me a straight razor around neck and areas that could use it, and cleaned me up! I will definitely be back for another cut! I can't say enough fantastic things about this establishment, Jenny and Mike have been a blessing. I got a bad cut around town when I first moved to Arlington, and was very shaky looking for a place to go next. Later that week, I went to Inspire just for a beard trim and Mike unexpectedly fixed it. Next occasion, when Mike wasn't working on the day I needed one, I chose Jenny. I relayed my last cut to her and she took all the anxiety out of it; now I get compliments for at least a week after visiting her. Mike was also an incredible help with a beard trim when I let my facial hair get out of control during the winter for the first time. He answered questions so I could (try to) maintain at home. If that wasn't enough, Jenny stayed late one time to add in a beard trim to a haircut. Truly enjoy & appreciate these two especially, and definitely recommend Inspire. read more

I always love her haircut, the attention to detail is incredible. I also get a shave and deluxe facial and it's worth it. I have never seen anyone take such care in giving a shave. Came here during the grand opening promotion as I had used one of the barbers (Ashley) at a previous location. Inspire Barbershop is in a great location and there is plenty of parking across the street at the mall. Traffic isn't too bad if you schedule your appointment right. I've "interviewed" every shop in Ballston since October of last year and I think I found my winner. The old world craftsmanship Dastan displayed with the way he took care of business was impressive, and if he can make me look good, he can do anything. It's a cash only spot but for $30 you can't do much better. No idea of the other barbers in the place but if Google reviews are any guide, you'll have to try to get a bad cut here, almost impossible. Where do I begin, this barber shop has such a great atmosphere, with the popular pop music In the background and the barbers welcoming you as soon as you walk in and don't get me started on the haircut. The haircut was so good my coworkers had to give me props i told them how this barber named Natalie shaved me up. They weren't able to help. I need a men's hair stylist who would do an in house cut. They didn't anyone who is mobil. I think Inspire is fine. I contacted them for an in house cut at the suggestion of YELP. YELP said they did have mobil service and would do an in house cut. Highly recommend! This was my first haircut by a salon in years! My stylist was Miley and they were very attentive. I got a wash which was practically a massage. I asked for shorter pieces in the front to frame my face and layers in the back. It came out perfect! Even got some waves put in without asking. I like this place and I see everyone else does. It's peaceful. The all (?) Asian staff are polite and competent. I use Dastan a lot, one of the few male barbers. I haven't had my beard trimmed and shaped many places so I don't know if its easy to do , but it always looks much better after he has shaped it. His haircuts are good too. I needed a haircut and looked up a few places nearby. Inspire Barbershop had recently opened and had positive reviews, so I called them to see if they were still open. They said they could squeeze me in at 7:10 (it was 6:50 when I called) even though they close at 7:30 pm. I showed up and they stayed after closing hours to give me a haircut. This was one of the worst haircuts I've gotten, and it was a buzz cut. It was so uneven and blotchy, when they asked if it was okay I didn't even realize they meant they were finished. I had to have my friend, who has no experience cutting hair, fix it. For it being new, I'm glad to say it's better than most barber shops near my area( I live close to Carvel ). My to go barber is all the way out in Alexandria, the drive is worth it don't get me wrong but I felt like I should try this new place out. So I did. I don't regret it.
