Since the 1.5 years we've been going there for groceries it has continued to decline dramatically. Store not stocked very well with many items continually low or out of stock. Distilled water, large ketchup, bathroom supplies, toothpaste and many other items always out of stock or very low supply. Many items in the store are continually out of date and expired, but still sitting on the shelf to be sold. Activia yogurt, milk, dairy products, salad croutons, produce, the list goes on. This is pathetic to not purge these items so consumers don't spend their hard earned money on expired products! Store arrangement of items is just weird.......makes zero sense compared to other grocery stores. Items like Ketchup you need to practically stand on your head on the bottom shelf to get a bottle, with other seldom used condiments in easy view and reach, why???? Popular brands are eliminated in favor of generics that are not as good or as high of quality. Some, not all, of the staff is rude and very cold.......no welcome or Hi, they walk right by you and at checkout throw items down the belt like it's a NASCAR race. I won't even mention the convoluted way to purchase their gasoline to get their advertised discount. We now drive 12-miles to North Branch to get our groceries........we won't shop at Coborn's any longer! Unless they clean up the place and make changes. It's obviously a management issue as these issues can easily be remedied but they don't seem to care at all. Bye Bye Coborn's!

I led the entire conversation and I don't work for Mama Delucas! Now, switch to the good part, the cheese bread was OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING! I'm embarrassed to share that I had every intention of snagging a photo of it, but we demolished the box [[on the drive home]]. The sauce is an incredible compliment. The captain is dead…read more The foreshadowing was there as soon as I walked in the door...from the completely missing doorhandle on the men's room...to the paper towel dispenser with a handwritten "Broken" sign on it...should have known better and just left. When you see a place in disrepair... the owners/managers/and sometimes staff are non-verbally telling you ..."We don't give a fuck about our customers." A door handle--maybe $15 at Menards and 10 minutes of time...is that too much to ask? A "broken" towel dispenser... now was it "broken" because a couple of batteries were dead inside of it? That would cost 3 or 4 bucks tops. Course if something is mechanically broken... well fellas... you can go on Angie's list and will never find a paper towel dispenser mechanic. If they are broken- you replace it. Many distributers will give you them for FREE! But why leave it on the wall? Takes you about 5 minutes to remove. But that is trivial and like I said just a clue to bigger issues within this bar/restaurant. The big issue are the flies. Not one or two...but literally HUNDREDS that buzz and disrupt your visit. Now they might try to convince you that flies just wait outside for the opportunity to get out of the hot weather and into the cool air...but that would be a lie. No...its quite OBVIOUS they have a fly infestation going on from lack of cleaning either in the kitchen or the bar. FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST THE SERVERS WERE HANDING OUT FLYSWATTERS AND LAUGHING WHILE DOING SO! I can't even imagine how gross the matts behind the bar... in the kitchen...are. If Chef Ramsey would show up he would be yelling to "SHUT IT DOWN" moments after arriving. If Jon Taffer showed up... he would scream "YOU ARE GONNA KILL SOMEBODY." I mean if you are getting buzzed constantly by flies when you dont have food or beverage around you- whats it really like in the sludge behind the bar...the sewer pipes under the counter...and especially in the kitchen and fridges? I flat out refused to eat as this kind of infestation is so unsanitary and again shows the MANAGEMENT doesnt care about its customers. This WAS A RESPECTABLE HIGH-CLASS BAR ON THE LAKE. Now its a place to avoid unless you want to get sick. And maybe the management wants it to be more of a dive bar than upscale...and I say...if so...EMBRACE THE IDEA! Keep handing out the flyswatters--hell the heavy-set guy at the bar took down at least 50 while we were there...but make it into something fun. My suggestion is to offer discounts that are based on confirmed kills. 10 kills =10% off your bill. 20 kills--20%. Think of how much fun that would be for all...and would save you the cost of calling in an exterminator! Its a win/win situation.

Pizza took over six minutes to go from the window to my table The heat lamp was not turned on so my pizza was already getting cold. Center was squishy not crispy. The $1.50 or "one topping" $1.95 green peppers barely made it out of the center of the cooled pizza. So your "first topping" will cost you $1.95 and each additional topping is $1.50. Oh, there are only Tobasco and Franks here for hot sauce . No creativity. No water refill offered either. Once the pizza did arrive, never was checked on to see if it was okay, it was NOT! I'm leaving this review only because the last time we gave this place a shot for food, it didn't go so well either. I have visited several times just to kill time though. Bartenders and servers vary in personality, ya never know if they have any hustle in them. Usually not. Bring a sweatshirt all year round, annoyingly cold in here. The music leans to rickety old classic rock. Not a happy feel, very Moose Lodge, or Eagles Club but cleaner. They have bingo, check before you come. My server knew the menu and prices well. She was very pleasant. Mushy center crust, very little topping dispersement, lack of topping choices, (very minimal, no jalapenos anywhere), very cooled-off pizza, time to deliver to table was not acceptable in any service industry I've worked in. I'll try again out of curiosity, but not if I'm in a hurry, or really counting on a stellar, crispy, thin crust pizza. If it goes better, I'll review accordingly. I wish things would have turned out better this time. Oh! And don't worry, I still tipped 40%. It's not all the servers fault and I'm not a monster!!....and all the customers got a cookie!

But after they moved to the bowling alley location, things have changed. I got a large specialty today, which was $26.41. It was not any where near as good as it used to be. The sauce was bland, the sausage had no flavor and the crust was like a frozen pizza. It used to have a great tasty sauce...a little spicy with a hint of sweetness...the sausage was flavorful...you could taste the fennel in it...and the crust was light, crispy and cracker like. It wasn't very good a couple years ago when I tried it either, but I was hoping they went back to their roots. They did not. Mansetti's in St. Francis and Chanticlear in Oak Grove, are much, much better. Hell, even Domino's in St. Francis is better, which tells you all you need to know. I will never get a pizza there again. Such a shame.
