Out of all their locations the Cambridge location seems to have the fastest service out of them... at least for my family and I. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and we found a table right away and the waitress came over quickly for our drink order. The staff does have masks on and most of the tables seemed to be clean. The pizza came out within 30 minutes of our order and the drinks never went dry. The other locations should take note from this location on service. We will come back here again. While the food is delicious, the service is atrocious and it's always feels like it needs a good cleaning. Everytime we go, we get the same waitress. I swear she must be the only one that works there. She ALWAYS gets at least one, if not multiple things wrong. Brings us the wrong food, takes the order wrong, or doesn't check to refill drinks and we have to yell across the entire dining room to get her attention, splits the check wrong (amongst just two parties...), charges the wrong checks to the wrong credit card, etc. And they don't have a proper drink menu. If you ask for a beer, they have to try and ramble off a listing (which they never remember) or they have to go grab this tiny little post-it note that lists all the beers in the tiniest unreadable handwriting. Seriously, can they just create and print a REAL drink menu?! As much as I enjoy the food, I just can't go there anymore. It's to ridiculous. read more

I really enjoy the pizza and the environment (somewhat), BUT I've ordered 4xs take out, and ate there at least 5 xs, and I'll tell ya... the service is so horrible it makes me never want to eat there again. Tonight, in a snow blizzard, I order a pizza Togo, which was overcooked, for $17+, and I drive through the blizzard, and this crabby gal has the nuts to ask me if I want my change when I hand her my $20. she sighs, and walks across the bar, away from the register she was standing at, to get change. She has a look in her face like she's just miserable. The older lady, who you'd think was in charge, cared more about the other girls braids. The staff is too young, they have no work ethic. I understand "having fun at your job" (especially at a bar), but there is no urgency for customers, there is no courteous behavior, and they really don't care about the food they are serving! I have been in the restaurant business for 30 years, and I am seriously disgusted with the employees at this establishment. I have given them the benefit of the doubt on many occasions, but even before cOVID, I was extremely disappointed with the servers at this place. I truly doubt I'll ever come back. At the Pizza pub tonight for my grandson's birthday. Our party was all over the place and not very organized. I highly commend our wait person because he was kind and patient and always cheerful. He made sure we had everything we needed and was always checking on us to make sure we were doing well. He had a very kind sense of humor and everyone in our party really enjoyed this young man with a great personality. It was truly amazing to me how he kept all the orders so organized when we the customers were so disorganized and moving chairs. A truly Great waitstaff and frankly, because of his excellent service, I changed my mind about The Pizza pub. For the genre, I would highly recommend, especially in a small MN town. Wings are AWESOME! Pizza is 4/5 d/t the lack luster crust (literary no flavor) but toppings are spot on - slight crisp without leaving it dry. If they fix the crust, you have a solid pizza. I can't give Pizza Pub a 5, because honestly - it isn't the perfect slice of good 'ol, authentic Mid-East coast Italian pizza; however, for us here up the sticks of Cambridge, MN, it's the best slice in town, and packs a bargain for bunches with their inexpensive "all you can eat" pizza buffet, and no toppings are lacking on this menu. From plain cheese to garbage pie, it's always piping hot thanks to the patrons packing the buffet line. I don't recommend dining-in for anything other than the buffet unless you're ready to wait for half-time for a server, and the end of the game for grub. They are a friendly bunch, but the crowd seems to be overwhelming for ticket orders. At least they have a few older but entertaining games for the kiddies to play while waiting though, as long as they don't spend your meal ticket during the excessive wait. read more

Have to tell you, I've never set foot in this place. I HAVE, however, ordered and had my food delivered. Every 6-8 weeks or so, I house-sit for family in the area. There have been occasion where it was late, i didn't want to cook nor did i want to make the trek into town. The Pizza Pub DELIVERS!! I've had the pizza and a bacon cheese burger. Since moving to Cambridge, we have ordered delivery from Pizza Pub 3 times. We've received our food faster than estimated, and it's always fresh and hot. Never had any issues. The one time we actually went in to eat was great as well. However we had 3 different servers. One seated us and got our beverages. Another asked for our order. And the last one brought our order and came back later to ask how it was. I can't complain about that, just thought it was strange. Still great service and food! Nice beer selection too. I happened to be in Cambridge one evening and there wasn't much to choose from in the way of dining that wasn't fast food. It was pretty much this place, a Little Chinese establishment, or a little cafe right next door. I flipped a coin in my head and chose this place. Upon entering I was greeted right away and was told I could sit wherever I would like. Although the place has a bar, it's kid friendly, they have a pool table and video games and there's good seating away from the bar area. The pizza was better than I expected, I'm guessing this is the best pizza joint in Cambridge. After waiting almost 40 minutes for a small (6 inch) pizza to come to my table- when there are only 2 other bodies in the dining area mind you- I was forgotten about until I walked up to the counter and asked for a refill and my check. My waitress, along with 4 other ladies and 2 young men, all looked shocked when they saw me. So I'm going to guess that yes, I was in fact forgotten. When it's more important to stand behind the counter and chit chat when you've got patrons sitting 3 feet away from you with EMPTY glasses you've got a problem. Our server was very helpful in recommending a few favorites: the buffalo chicken and the special (loaded) pizza. Super slow but not very fast. Upon seating ourselves my wife was a bit angry at another customer calling out loudly for the waitress to bring his water. It was a sign of things to come, turned out he was already frustrated by the service we had yet to experience. Young gal took our order for two tap beers, she returned 5 minutes later to advise me they were out of Mick lyte, I opted for another domestic. Beers sat on the bar for at least 10 minutes before I walked up and grabbed them myself. Waitress spent more time socializing with coworkers behind the bar, apparently not into good service resulting in good tips. I was charged for the beer they didn't have, it was removed from the bill when I asked. Food was fine but the poor service will keep us away.
