These people don't care about people. Please stay away. The strangest experience I've ever had. Ordered a pizza & a salad. Man over the counter, who is not the cashier yelled "here or to go". I was surprised and said to go. Gave them $28 cash on a $22 order, gave them my number and they were to call me when it was ready (20 mins). Come back 35 mins later to get the pie. I asked if I could take a seat and they said no. I thought this was a joke; gave me a cup of water and a plate and wouldn't let me eat it in the restaurant. I am still confused; please don't ever go here. Salad dressing was wrong but can't go back as I was kicked out. :( read more

Good service, great pizza! This was our first visit. We came on a Saturday night at about 8:15. Seated promptly and food came quickly. We ordered the pizza fries appetizer (basically garlic butter and cheese on a crust) and a large special. The appetizer was fantastic!! The crust was buttery and garlicky and crispy. Soooooo good! The pizza was great as well. Plenty of toppings and loaded to the edge. Server was great, checked on us often, and she kept our drinks full. Will definitely be back! read more

I never want to leave a bad review. But sadly this place was terrible. The crust was okay. But the sauce looks and tastes like it was poured straight out of the cheapest, bottom shelf, plastic jar, pasta sauce that you might find on clearance at the corner store. And, even worse, it was poured on thick for some reason. The cheese was equally bad. It was just a gross congealed mess. I am not happy about this. read more

Having eating a Carbone's since the 60s on E. 7th. Then 20 years later in White Bear or Mohtomedi, Super Pie! 20 more years later. Forest Lake, I really tried to introduce myself again. Dry, no sauce, well there was some redness, I was thinking inflammatory. I ordered togo, I asked Don't be shy with the veggies. Sausage, green pepper, onion. It was sad, I took it home. Removed of the crust from 1/2 and put that on the other 1/2. Plus more sauce peppers and onions. It looked marvelous. I'm not asking for anything special, just something good. Tonight was delivery night for this mamma! I usually order PIZZA from Carbone's (which I LOVE), but thought I'd try their pasta this time. I do love me some lasagna! I ordered the lasagna (came with garlic bread) and an add on salad to be delivered. Sixteen bucks and an hour later, I was eating one of my favorite dishes without the hassle of prepping or cooking or cleaning up. It was a tad bit on the sweet side for me and a little overdone (maybe continued to cook via transportation and too heavy on the fennel). I'll stick to pizzas when it comes to Carbone's....they've got that down pat! read more

Nasty!! I have lived in the area for 20 yrs. We always have issues with the Forest Lake Carbones. Wrong order, very long delivery times, communications problems. Tonight I pulled a 15 inch hair out of my mouth. Needless to say, we all stopped eating. When I called, I got the old "I'm sorry, we can give you a credit". When I asked, "what good does that do me if I never order from you again"? Sorry, that's all we can do! A $50 order, and you give me $15 in store credit..Good riddens! Stopped here for dinner based on the reviews. Was a little skeptical when we first walked in as this place looks like the pizza could be great or terrible. Sparely decorated and feels like a pizza place from the early 80's. The menu is simple. Two maybe three salads and lots of pizza toppings but nothing fancy. The salad I ordered had canned mushrooms. :) The pizza is wonderful! Thin crust, savory sauce that is good enough to stand alone. I think I had black olives, onions, jalapeños and extra cheese. I'm not sure why, but this is one of the best pizzas I've had in years. I ordered a large as I knew I wanted leftovers which I then had for dinner for the next two nights. This pizza was even better a day later. Highly recommend Carbone's! read more

The best pizza ever. This is the only place my mom will get pizza. My favorite is sausage with green olives. It's a flat pizza they cut into small squares and they must use really good cheese. I am sorry to say but this was the absolute worst pizza I have ever had. Having just moved here we are trying out new restaurants so we ordered from Carbone's pizza for delivery. From the person who took my order to the pizza itself, I feel like they just didn't care. Asking for ranch I was told, "that's up to you" by the way didn't get the ranch. Unfortunately, I have received poor customer service from this location. The manager was very unprofessional and failed to deliver our order arguing with me that it was for pickup when I placed it as delivery. I am out of town from Kentucky and I'm originally from here and I was very disapointed in how I was treated and how my handicapped aunt was treated. It's a special tradition for us to have your pizza when I am in town. As an expert in customer service, the manager was unprofessional and failed to apologize for the mistake her employee made. She also decided to cancel our order. Carbones in Forest Lake has now left a negative taste on a special night I was spending with my family. I have zero desire to ever visit this location again or deal with this no name manager who failed to offer any kind of customer service or apology. read more

Delicious pizza but they need to learn to cut the pieces better? I'm not sure how it is even possible but the crust and the toppings were sliced very differently? Also the pieces were odd shapes with large variation in sizes. Pizza confetti like. By far the best pizza in the whole US! Super cheesy, salty, and so full of flavor. No pizza can even compare to the little squares of love. Their sausage is really good, not premade or precooked, they put in on the pizza fresh and raw, so it cooks in your pizza making the sauce extra flavorful. The sauce is extremely unique, there is nothing like it. I have tried to replicate it for years, but no luck. I moved to FL and still daydream about Carbones, and seriously eat there every single night when I am home for a visit. I have even snuck 3 pizzas in my carry-on luggage and brought them back to FL with me! They still tasted amazing! read more

The pizza here is great, it was really worth stopping in for lunch. It's a really greasy pizza, but truly in a great way. The cheese bread wasn't bad either, my only complain is the marinara sauce for the cheese break was nuked in the microwave, and it really hurt the taste of what really seemed like would be outstanding marinara sauce. read more

Ordered a pizza for pick up. Picked it up got home and out of the 3 they took the wrong order on one of them. They said it was our fault because we ordered it wrong. The person who ordered had 3 of us standing right next to her while ordering and it was ordered correct. Their customer service is really bad and highly recommend going elsewhere. Our team went here on Saturday, we had called ahead and gave them a heads up. When we got there they told us only 3 people working thus stick to pizza as we wouldn't be able to make lots of other items on menu. Had to get up and get out own water.
