He said he could check them out and gave a rough estimate of what the cost would be. This is one of the few places in the north suburban area that will repair or check anniversary clocks. After his so called repair, the clock began to gong 2 minutes before the hour, 1/4 hour, and 1/2 hour. He came back one time to "fix" it, did nothing. He said that he would be back, but he never came. We tried to call, he either did not answer, or said he was just leaving on vacation, or was backed up, or any number of excuses. He never came back. We have since moved, and the person we called to fix the clock said that replacing the inner works is what people do when they don't know how to fix it. We threw away over $500 on this worthless quack.
