The guys came to my place to measure and I paid 1/2 down ($1200) to get the project going. Ordered a fireplace mantle, frame, and hearth ($2400) and asked for photos along the way. (The insert was bought separately, mine cost about $1300 from Amazon). Was told it would be ready in 3 weeks. Almost 3 weeks to go and I had not received any updates or photos so I reached out to Rob. I was told there was an emergency within family/manufacture and it would be another 3 weeks; I totally understood. About 2 1/2 more weeks went by and we were finally able to schedule an install. Was informed I needed to mail Rob a check for the rest of the bill. He also told me it would be an additional $75 to install cutting the trip. This caught me off guard because this cost wasn't discussed at signing. I asked for a discount due to the delay and got $25 off for Rob to cut the wall trim. So I mailed a check prior to install for $1250 to include new cost of trim cutting). Day of install my trim was cut and fireplace frame/hearth placed into position. Once Rob said they were done I inspected and it appeared the frame wasn't installed/secured to wall, it was just free standing. I asked Rob to please secure it to the wall so that it would not fall over. He said he could come back in a few days since he didn't have his stud finder. I asked him again to do it before he left my home, and he agreed. Now it is screwed to the wall (right side not in a stud) with two screws. In addition, I explained that I did not like the way the trim was cut that it looked unfinished. My wall in that area was also damaged. Rob hadn't explained that he would be leaving my walls/trim damaged/unfinished and cut like this (see attached) so I asked him to fix it. He told me he would need to come back and would have to charge me. My walls/paint in that area were damaged in the process. In my living room, he told me my expectations were very high, and left. I have texted Rob twice to try and schedule him to come back but he's not responded. Which is why I waited to post this review. Now my walls and trim are damaged/unfinished and I have to figure out how to do it myself or find a contractor to fix it. Overall I am happy that I now have a fireplace in place of my empty wall. Unfortunately, the service or product did not meet my expectations ($2450) plus cost of trim/wall repair (unknown at this point). The mantle has dings all over it, top is uneven, and stain not completely covering all surfaces. The piece wasn't secured properly to the studs and the fireplace insert is not secured at all. Rob recommended I put an epoxy on it to secure to frame. (The other day my friend's baby was playing by it with my small dog and I had to rush to get him away from it.) In addition, color of the stone looks more gold with a couple gray ones, versus the neutral colors that I requested, and the hearth ($1000) appears to be a concrete slab. Throughout the project the service and all responses times were poor. I will need to repair the trim and white wash the stone to the colors I originally asked for. Lastly, I didn't want to leave this negative review. I was hoping that Rob or his associates would fix what I requested but instead I was ignored and left with having to make repairs myself.

Cleaning your mess cost us $625. BTW, my children don't use the mantel as a jungle Jim. They're 12 & 8. They play outside.
