Jin's is great as long as you don't go after 2:00 or before evening service starts. Everything is picked over or out.

We went to jins yesterday. The food was but the service was terrible! They did not service our table once they set us. My sons had to ask for our drinks and my daughter had to ask for refills. A lot of items on the bar did not get refiled. My family ate the pepper steak and said the steak was rubbery. We will be looking for someplace else to go read more

The price is pretty good considering you can eat however much you want from the buffet and get endless refills (if the waitress actually notices that your cups empty). The sushi is really good, the dessert bar could have more but what was there was pretty good, all the chicken was great and everything else was nice to try. The place is clean, friendly, and good at keep the buffet bars full of fresh food! Will be back soon. read more

This is a buffet style Chinese restaurant, having said that, the wait staff is there primarily to keep you drink glass topped off and clean the tables after you are through. They have a sushi bar, and hibachi bar and, of course, the buffet area. The buffet area consist of three hot bars and a cold bar and ice cream freezer (individual serving sizes). The food is very good and flavorful. Mostly chicken dishes with some seafood and beef choices scattered among the three hot bars. The vegetables are always fresh and well prepared. House made dressings are located on the cold bar. Compared to other Chinese restaurants in town, Jin's Buffet is the best choice. read more

The food is great. Buuut the service wasn't so much. The waitress we had wasn't very friendly and never even smiled at anyone. The sushi chef seemed super aggravated that I requested a roll of cream cheese and cucumber. He told me that there was already some out. And I pointed out that that one had crab meat and I didn't care for crab. He made me a roll but after snapping at me to "come back in a minute". It's a shame bc the food really was good. read more

Great value for the huge amount of food, lots of variety of various kinds of chicken dishes, and there was shrimp, mussels, fish, noodle dishes, nice variety of sushi and sashimi, hibachi area, salad and lots of desserts, including various fruit. I love the Mongolian Style Hibachi/BBQ, however, the service needs to improve. Because i cannot understand the guy's accent at the Hibachi, he gets rude. Another instance is one time we ordered for pick up in the restaurant for lunch which included a bunch of items, in which included 2 sweet and sours. They didnt give us an itemized receipt, just a scribbled pad with no amount on it, and we paid for by debit card, which gave us a lump sum amount. . I know, and I am certain that we paid for 2 sweet and sours. When we got home, we found only 1 order of sweet and sour, so we called them, talked to a guy there, he realized that there was a mistake, so we went back to get our order. The lady at the counter had the nerve to charge us for another sweet and sour, and she was insistent that we were in the wrong, and by no means would she even consider to take our word for it: that although we paid for 2, we got 1. The guy i talked to on the phone was no where to be found. Because there were other customers coming to the counter to pay, we didnt want to make a scene, so we just paid it, got ripped off and left. Word to management: Customer Service is King, and that is what will keep your business going, along with good food.and customers should not be treated as Chumps. i haven't been back since. read more

If I could give no stars I would. My Dad and I used to go here all the time and we loved it. We decided to come back today and as soon as I walked it I had a strange feeling. The place looked ran down, the booths were torn to pieces and the atmosphere has lost all of its warmth from years past. We were seated and were ready for a yummy dinner but two bites into my food I looked down and saw a dead fly that looked as if it had been cooked into the meal. I was immediately turned off so we decided to leave. The guy at the register looked at us funny because we had just been sat so my Dad explained the issue and he said he would have to go check with his boss to see if we could get a DISCOUNT! Let me remind you I had three sips of soda and two bites of food and my dad hadn't even began. The cashier returned and said they would offer us a discount due to the bug and we were charged $20. It has more options then other places but one afternoon my friend and I went in for a farewell lunch because I was moving, I opted to pay for the check cause he needs to save his money, well we get our check, two buffet's and two drinks, his was marked 2.00 MORE. He was originally not going to say anything but I told the girl there's something wrong as to why my friend is being charged more then I am on the bill. I wanted to give this restaurant an honest review. Before going I read that there were mixed ratings for Jin's buffet and I did not let those opinions affect my evaluation. Overall, I thought that the food options were good as they have three or four buffet lines to choose from. The sushi was what you would expect at a buffet so not too bad, and there was a hibachi grill that you could take raw foods up and have it cooked. I do believe that the flavor of some of the foods could have been better but overall I was pleased. We went at dinner and it was right under $10 for an adult buffet. I was not disappointed and will go back again when the craving hits. read more

This rating is compared to other Chinese buffets not restaurants in general. Food was a little dry and tasteless and the service was slow despite having only 5 or 6 other occupied tables in the whole restaurant with 3 waitresses working. The Jin's in Conover, NC is 10 times better. read more

actually I'm sorry to give such a poor rating...... the fried chicken wings were over cooked,, until they were hard and dry....... the supposedly,,,, meatballs ,,,,, didn't have any hamburger in them,,,,,,,,they were mushy with a taste that I couldn't put my finger on,,,,,, [[ and didn't wish to know ]]...... Food was great, service wasnt worth a flip... The waitess came by our table 3 times, did not offer to get me and my parnter anything else to drink till i said i want my check, then offered more drink, i said lady i needed it during my meal not when i am leaving.. I stated i would never be back, she said im sorry we are busy, well the fact is this was 2:30 pm and at least 15 or so tables were empty, the issues she was having was when someone left she cleaned the table off and the hell with the people still eating.. Most waitess complains about not getting a tip well when i paid for the meal i said no tip today, because of the fact poor service, and i will never step foot in here again.. When i eat out and do a lot i tip more then i should at 25% so it is there loss and they dont give a flip about if anyone comes to eat there, cause i have had bad bad bad service the last 3 time i have went there, other Jin"s in different countys are great, like the one in East Lincoln, and Conover they are the best service and food is great.. This one in Lincolnton i wasted my time there today, i would have got better service at MCDONALD'S.. read more
