Service with a smile no matter who is at the register day or night - they handle the volume with ease. However, on one occasion an item I ordered was not included in my to go package (next time I will double-check prior to leaving and driving home). The location is very good, and you have the option to eat in! They keep it nice and clean, I have never witnessed food left on the tables or them uncleaned. Would definitely recommend. We lived near this restaurant for 5 years and it was our go to take out for Chinese food. Stopped by today as we were in the area. Ordered sweet and sour chicken with white rice, they gave us fried rice. Ordered 2 egg rolls and a small hot-sour soup, they gave us a large hot-sour soup. I think the service has gone down hill, but since it's summer who knows. That's why I gave them 4 stars. Not much to the restaurant itself for ambiance but does a huge take out business. Summary: Food was bad. Restaurant was dirty. Details: We got sesame chicken and an egg roll. The egg roll was terrible tasting. The fried rice was plain yellow rice with nothing mixed in. The plastic knives and forks were so cheap they all broke when we used them. The napkins they give you are as thin as gas station toilet paper. Very Disappointed with both Service and Food Quality. I've dined at this restaurant a number of years ago and while I don't remember the specifics, I remember it as being OK. My former neighbor in Cornelius before we moved raved about the restaurant so we decided to give it a try today. Granted we are still in restrictions due to Covid-19 and these folks take it all the way. Front Door is open but a wooden partition is inserted into the doorway space. Sliding door on the upper right to pay for the food and a shoot where the food is dropped so you can pick it. You talk to the young lady through the partition and place you order. I can live with that part because I believe it being safe during this time. Needless to say, the dining area I dined in years ago is closed off so you end up outside. Good except today at 11am, it was 32F My wife ordered the Chicken Moo Goo Gai Pan and I ordered my favorite Mongolian Beef. When I paid, the young lady said I could wait in my car and it would be about 10 minutes. 10 minutes later I get out of the car and walk up to the front which by that time had got fairly busy. Stood there in the cold for 10 minutes and finally went back to the car to get warm. This time, my wife went to the front and she had to wait 5 minutes. 10+10+5 = 25 which is not 10. Drove home for lunch which fortunately is only 5 minutes away. Re-plated and sat down from lunch. Susan had better luck that I did. She indicated her Moo Goo Gai Pan was very good and she enjoyed it. On the otherhood, my Mongolian Beef left much to be desired. Extremely bland and zero heat to it. Basically an amorphous tasteless presentation. Serving sizes are very large which is good for my wife because she's having it again for dinner. I have some from lunch but not sure if I want to revisit that meal again. This place is listed to close at 10pm mind you. I had to work late tonight and my kids were hungry so I tried to quickly put a order in to go to get the kids something with 20 minutes to spare and the lady that answered was extremely rude saying "they not putting in no more orders as they close in 5 minutes and the men already started cleaning" I had to look at the time again and i tried to apologize at the late minute call but said I called with 20 minutes to spare. I know the frustration with trying to clean up early and getting another call before closing to try to get out of there right at 10 but the rudeness and being hung up on was what got me. Last thing I'd say is what goes around comes around. Have ordered from here many times. It's just okay as authentic Chinese food goes. It is the most consistent of all the similar options in the area. A review is only as good as the expectation of the customer. If the customer has limited experience with real authentic Chinese food then this place will not disappoint. If you have a greater understanding of what authentic is than the flavors of everything here is just average. Overall the meats are tender. Vegetable are fresh. Egg roll are commercial and mushy. (Tony the Tiger.) The Wonton Soup was also legit. I ate a quart of it no problem (broth not included--unless dripping from a Wonton). The Sesame Chicken was a little blah. A little too hard on the edges. The noodles weren't stale. They should never be stale, but there's a place near me that gives you stale noodles. I wasn't sure about China II because Denver is a small country town. As I approached, my imagination was brewing, but when I entered I saw a Sanitation Score of 99.5. This was a big relief despite the first two meal signs on the top left being backward. I would recommend China II for its Lo Mein, Wonton Soup, and not-stale noodles. Veery efficient while still being nice. They have a varied menu. We usually get the shrimp with mixed veggies. The shrimp are extra large and tasty. The line for pick up sometimes gets out of the door but they move fast enough that your wait is not too long. I have other Chinese options close by and some are actually pretty solid (Thank you House of Taipei), I read enough from fellow Yelpers to convince me to commute a little farther for my latest fix thus a trip to China II in Denver, NC. I've got to say thank you Yelpers! China II offers solid food for a solid price and they are the first place I've found "locally" that has Shrimp Toast as an appetizer offering. Not the healthiest thing for you but I dig me some Shrimp Toast! This is classic American style Chinese takeout food served in a strip mall location and it's done well. Beyond the aforementioned App, we tried the General Tso's chicken and a beef, chicken, shrimp and veggie dish in a brown sauce that I think was Three Happiness. Enjoyed every bit of what we ordered and there was plenty to have as leftovers. What more could you want from strip mall Chinese?!?! read more

I have lived in Denver for about 3 years and just recently tried China 2 due to many recommendations from friends. I do a lot of take out since I live alone and don't necessarily like to eat alone. The ambiance is not good in my opinion but the food was great! I got the chicken lo mein and fried dumplings. It was very good, seasoning was perfect and ready in Less than 15 minutes. I have been back at least 6 times and even with the small order I have enough for another meal!! The portions are huge and the price was shocking low!! Being new to Denver, I've been going to China II for a couple years. I have heard many people complain about the food, though I have never had anything I thought was not good, until tonight. My go-to meal is chicken with cashews , but occasionally I'll get something else. Usually I go for lunch, and this was my first time for dinner. I got my usual with extra sauce. I try to be stingy with the 5 star reviews these days, and I can't think of anything within 15 miles of here that's really a solid 4 stars, but China II lunch special is "the bee's knees". $5 out the door for a big ole pile of food and an ice tea. WOW!!! When I walk in the door, the lady at the register always asks me, "chicken with mixed vegetables extra spicy and white rice"? 9 out of 10 times I say yes. But occasionally I try something new again. That dish is just spot on. The baby corn isn't my cup of tea, but I can pic it out, or ask for none. The chicken is tender, the veggies are fresh and not over-cooked, and the sauce is perfect in my opinion. Sticks to the food but isn't a sludge of cornstarch slurry. All you basic Chinese staples are good here. Pretty much everything is made to order. My only complaint is that there isn't an egg/springroll with the lunch special. The amount of good food per dollar though, makes that complaint unrealistic. read more

Quick, cheap and tasty. Lived close by for a few years and this is one of my regular stops.

They've opened so customers can go inside to pick up food, but still no dining in. The sign said to wear masks to come in.
