Ive never yet been to this location, I just ordered my usual jb special with Carmel goo in the cup. The lady working was really rude and didn't have any customer service whatsoever. I decided just to go through with the order because I do love my jitter bean. That however was a mistake. My order was done so quickly I knew something would be wrong. I go to try my $9.30 drink and it's so watered down and blended. It simply tastes like crushed up ice and Carmel. Atleast she couldn't mess up the Carmel aspect of things. Truly just a terrible experience. I love jitter bean and definitely recomend! I would just stay away from this location. Bottom line though I'm more upset about the service rather then the drink. We stopped by on a Sunday morning about 8am. They got our coffee, 1 latte and 1 drip with cream, out surprisingly fast. It was also very good coffee for a small town ocean town coffee company. The girl working was very friendly and warm in her interactions with us. I will stop by again if in the area again and in need of coffee. read more

My spouse wanted a cappuccino and we spied their sign on the freeway. It has the feel of a clean, well-run, unique local establishment. The woman who took our order was genuinely cheerful and helpful. The cappuccino was one of the best I've had in a while. It had the rich taste of coffee with foamed milk, rather than the other way around. I would definitely recommend it. read more

Sometimes I just crave a good iced blended coffee and after seeing the Jitter Bean right by my hotel and looking at the pics and reviews I suddenly craved one from here! It was even better than it looks. They give a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream and with a shot of caffeine it was the perfect treat on a warm day. Good thing I don't live too close or else I'd be treating myself to this everyday! Also love that they have stamp cards and if I lived close I would definitely take advantage of their rewards system! After years of buying drinks numerous times daily , I'm done, and avoiding Jitter Bean like the Covid-19 plague. The owner of this establishment should be ashamed. After numerous attempts at two different locations, I couldn't even buy gift cards from these fools with exact change. They won't accept a $50 bill , even if no change is to be given. Great way to F your customers over at Christmas time. If you choose to visit a Jitter bean, you're doing so at your own peril. I've been wasting $12 daily + tip on a business who doesn't give a sh*t about their customers. I'd rather not receive a note back claiming this was simply a big misunderstanding. Complete BS. We were doing our road trip across the country for our move to Seattle and decided to spend a night in Arcata. Right across from our hotel was this little coffee place in the middle of a large parking lot. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, there were a lot of places that were closed and I think people liked the convenience of a quick drive thru. We stopped by on our way north and decided to grab a coffee. Got myself my usual, a black iced americano. Coffee was strong, flavorful and hit the spot as we were already sleep deprived and had a long day ahead of us. If I lived in the area or came back to visit, I would definitely be coming back to this place. Stopped here on our way to Medford. Drive thru coffee shop set up in a big parking lot. There was no one in front of us. The lady at the counter greeted us and took order - latte and hot chocolates. Fast service, hardly took them 5 mins to get us our beverages and we were on our way. Not costly like the other chains, but the quality was very good. Happy that we stopped there. read more

I ordered a latte and they obliged by making it in my reusable cup. They asked how many shots I wanted, given the in-between size of the cup, which I appreciate. The staff was super friendly, but not unpleasantly so for pre-dawn early. The coffee was good, not bitter, and ready pretty quickly. They take an order at the window and can take the next order, so they seem pretty efficient, and it's nice to be able to swing through. I didn't look at the full menu because I knew what I wanted, so I'm not sure how extensive it is. It's close to the 101, so while it's not right on the road, it would be a totally acceptable short detour. You enter in the side of the little building closer to the 101, and drive away from the 101 to go through the drive through. read more

I came to Arcata to visit my sister and this is hands down the best coffee shop I've been to out of my own city. They're so nice and welcoming. It definitely reminded me of the coffee spot back home. I ordered the Caramel Explosion and it's great. I can taste the coffee which I love and the sweetness to keep me going. I like how they use ice cream because it helps to make the drink smooth and creamy. The pumpkin bread I ordered was delicious and moist. I'm definitely coming back before I leave because it was just that great! read more

The coffee was delicious, I was so close to turning around after having my first sip just to have a second cup ready for when I finished the first. The service was great and very kind. Wish they had a sit-down coffee place...the one in Arcata is very tiny. I'd give 5 stars if JB had a nice sit-down coffee place, in Eureka. I love their espresso, but no where to sit and enjoy the offerings. I go to the drive through on Montgomery St off Harris, almost everyday (3 shot 8 oz cup 1 hvy cream 1 half n half) the girls know my drink. The girls are very sweet and do a great job on my espresso.
