The pillows and beds were comfortable, and the cottage had everything we needed during our stay. Julia and Don were such thoughtful hosts, and their staff were friendly and helpful. The location is set right along the Trinity River, and guests of the resort are able to enjoy direct access to the river. Weaverville is a historic gold rush town. I stopped by this candy store. This shop was full of sweets and some nostalgic cash registers and weighing scales. They sold shirts and some apparel, unique goods and made in America souvenirs. Aside from seeing all the vintage candies (Pop Rocks, Bottle Caps, Charleston Chew, 5th Avenue, Tootsie Rolls, etc) they had a little section with lots of... yup! stickers! Yay! I grabbed one for my collection. Cool store with lots of cool souvenir merchandise. Had we explored this way first we would've dined in their eatery for lunch and order an ice cream cone for dessert.
