What can I say about Dr. Kim and Dr. Sung. A wealth of knowledge on how the body is supposed to work is what I can say!! Now if you're ready to heal, you need to have an open mind as this is completely a different outlook than western medicine, and 1000 times worth it. I originally started with a pulled muscle in my neck but have since had months of healing treatments, Acupuncture, and Korean herbs and all I can say is my blood work is finally all normal & symptoms are disappearing. After many years of western medicine, just upping my thyroid medication, adding HRT with no change and telling me I'm getting older, this place has been a lifesaver. I have learned so much about how the body works, how it heals, everything from cold drinks/food cause slow digestion to the which organs work together to Chi flow that is blocked can cause health problems and pain. I have been going to Doctor Kim for about 4 years and she has literally changed my life. Her knowledge of the human body is amazing. I have insurance and I went in to get acupuncture treatment for my agonizing rash. I filled out the numerous forms needed for intake and saw Doctor Kim. Unfortunately, her English is very poor and very difficult to understand. She told me that she can use my insurance to treat me for pain but not for rash. I told her that I use chiropractor for my pain and it is managed but I need acupuncture for my rash that is spreading. She said that it's illegal for any doctor to use acupuncture to treat my rash since it's not covered under insurance. I made sure that she won't charge my insurance for this visit and walked out. If she had looked at my intake forms, she would have noticed that I have autoimmune that causes hormonal imbalance, in turn, could have cause rash. and hormonal imbalance, I believe according to the intake form, is covered under insurance. It is not my job to find a loophole to help me find relief, it is hers and she was more interested in treating symptoms not covered by insurance than looking at cause which could be covered by my insurance. And here I am, searching for another great acupuncturist in Chino Hills while still suffering. read more

First time all she did was talk and and I was there for 15 minutes with her and yet she charged FULL charge to the insurance and collected copay. WITH NO SERVICE. It's been a few months since I have been visiting Jiyu Healing Center. I was afraid of getting acupuncture at first due the needles, however it was better than I expected. I felt a sense of calm and trust from Dr. Sung which really helped me to keep coming back. Dr. Sung has been super helpful and always helps me feel relaxed whenever I go in for treatments. Using the power of acupuncture, I feel like my headaches and body aches have decreased significantly. I feel relaxed after an acupuncture session. He makes sure that I don't have any discomfort. We don't live in Chino Hills, but we are willing to drive the long distance in order to get acupuncture. My husband hurt himself weight lifting. Medical imaging was able to identify a muscle strain and was prescribed pain medication however he was heavily against taking the prescribed narcotics. I've decided to find a new acupuncturist after everything I've been through. My insurance called me again this morning to inform me all you had to do is submit for additional services, not ask me to pick between my knee and back when I have unlimited appointments available once the acupuncturist has submitted them. I'm not sure why you never attempted to obtain more than two treatments a month when I have scoliosis in my back, a pinched nerve causing extreme pain and both knees riddled with arthritis. I've been needlessly suffering since September 2024 and jumping through hoops I never needed to jump through. Instead, you tried to sell me your preferred insurance and/or pay $100 out of pocket if I wanted more than two treatments a month, all while pushing your insurance and telling me twice a month is not nearly enough! Super suspect and shady! Extremely, disappointing and frustrating! Because you tried to sell me your preferred insurance and/or pay out of pocket for additional care, all while telling me two appointments were not enough a month (you advised three a week minimum), never attempting to contact insurance for more treatments, I will be filing a formal complaint against you with the California board of acupuncture. I hope this review spares anyone the trouble I've been through in simply trying to seek help with chronic pain! read more

Dr. Cha Kim (Sara) is one of the best health practitioners you will come across. Not all acupuncturist are made the same that's for sure! I believe her knowledge and skills are definitely not run of the mill. She is exceptional at her craft. She is really good at diagnosing root causes as well. I have been treated by her for several years now and I am so glad I found her when I did because she definitely turned me around for the better. I went in for several chronic issues. I wish I could afford to buy her herbs and see her several times a week still because it makes such a huge difference in how I feel and the quality of my life when I did it. I was treated by her son Dr. Chris once so far but I definitely plan to keep getting acupuncture treatment by him in the near future. I felt better after only one treatment of his. If you are patient and consistent you will see results with their treatment plan. I highly recommend you try them. They take cash patients as well as insurance patients (if you are have an HMO plan you have to make sure they are in in-network with your plan for you to see them though). If you have PPO insurance they take that as well and if you have OON benefits it is totally worth submitting a superbill to your insurance for OON visits if you can. Both doctors are always nice and polite, their offices are clean and quiet usually (although I don't mind the instrumental music she plays at times at all). I used to be scared of needles and didn't think I'd look forward to getting acupuncture ever but Dr. Kim and Dr. Sung have great technique inserting the needles in the skin or scalp, I hardly feel a thing and if it's uncomfortable they will remove them and place them somewhere else right away if I tell them it doesn't feel good. I have done the acumata machine and that machine is amazing. I seriously wish I could buy one and have it at my house, I'd be on it every day! She has done an amazing job at helping me with spasms and pain in different parts of my body. Way better than going to urgent care, taking pain killers or doing something western medicine would suggest or prescribe. Give them a try for your health concern. read more

Learned how powerful Korean medicine is. The entirety of 2022 I struggled with fatigue and terrible breathing issues. I hadn't gotten Covid before and was fairly healthy, I went to many specialists to get to the bottom of what was wrong. After 6 months of appointments, all kinds of scans, x rays and even a sleep study, there were still no answers. My dad suggested I try a more natural route to cure my health issues, and it first I was hesitant. But alas after no answers after almost an entire year of waiting I went to see Dr.Kim. After testing my acu points, she concluded that my chi was imbalanced, and named the symptoms caused by the imbalance. There she listed breathing issues, fatigue, joint pain and just about every issue I've had for the last year. She prescribed me herb medicine, and we did a combo of acupuncture and a special machine only made in South Korea that balances your chi. I started seeing her three times a week for 3 months, by the first week of treatment I was already feeling different.
