I came to revive after my car accident, i had consistent back pain and neck pain. My neck pain would radiate and tingle down my spine to my legs. Dr. Patel recommended a PRP Injection which is the plasma injection. I visited twice and both times the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and kind! They walked me through the process and what to expect. During my injection process Dr. Patel guided me through the entire process from start to finish and her assistant helped with the distraction and pain. Overall it is a 10/10 experience and the injection was not as bad as people make it seem. They describe it has a bee sting but i would say a slight needle tap. She rushed into the room, spoke to me for about 3 minutes in a robotic, scripted way, and then immediately passed me off to an MA again. She feels lazy and completely checked out. I was sent to Revive Pain Management by a law firm representing me after a terrible rear end collision that resulted in 3 bulging discs in my neck. I had a single consultation appointment (15 minutes) and two follow up phone calls with Dr. Patel (30 seconds each). I never received any treatment nor did I undergo any procedures. I refused both pain meds and Cortisone/PRP injections. I was sent home with a box of lidocaine patches which retail for $39.99. For all of this, Dr. Patel charged my attorney $3688, which is taken directly out of the potential settlement I would receive by the at fault insurance company. Broken down, that's $3200 for a consultation and $488 for lidocaine patches. And as you can imagine, I am unable to reach anyone in the billing department to ask some basic questions.... read more

I went to my first visit, which all seemed to be great, the doctor seemed nice and very capable (her administration are her down fall) As i explained I was in alot of pain due to nerve damage I ran out of my medication, which drove me to email and call their office to get my meds refilled (meantime Im in alot of pain, I was going to post all of my email exchange with her office staff, decided to leave them out) I continued to call left many messages, finally I got someone on the phone, I explained I was out and the doc stated call her if I need more before our next appt. I did after a week, I was told by staff they were NOT going to tell the doctor and I would have to wait days until the next appointment (pure insanity and very very unprofessional) So on closing any doctor who doesnt take a concern with the patients doesn't need to be a doctor, also their administration staff feel very comfortable speaking, nasty to clients and talk down to you, obviously the doctors dont care because they have done this many times before otherwise they wouldnt dismiss in ways which are trulu insulting, your just a number to them! Any negative review here is probably due to a patient that doesn't have adequate history of pain or the doctor isn't feeling that the patient is being honest with their pain level. Those that have a history of proven pain issues are treated accordingly with best practices and Dr. Patel has the latest machines and technology which she carefully plans out for her patients: if it wasn't for her I would be laying around bed in a state of depression because neck pain and back pain is something that can stop you from living life. I have sent people to this practice who have thanked me because they got their lives back. When you can't do things you need you need to be a good parent and run your company it is a real bummer. I have tried management in the past and had some bad experiences with neck and back injections and she talked me into trying again. Nothing will make me pain free totally with what I have going on but it is manageable now thanks to her. I was there today and felt like my arm was hanging from one nerve and had spent two days in bed. She called and got me in today and it is so much better: not gone yet but I need to still to take some meds because I now have my lower back which I needs a injection. I met with a surgeon that told me that surgery on the neck is my last resort and if I can manage it this way he recommends we do that until that no longer works then they will step in. Insurance doesn't want to pay it until there are no other viable options. I am glad cause surgery scares me and to be honest that he recovery is one that takes a lot of time and there are no guarantees. She is the only doctor that does these that doesn't rush procedure. She takes longer than other docs I have had because she realizes that patients won't keep doing them if they are scary and super painful. I am so thankful that she helped me today that I decided she deserves this review. I still have days where my pain is bothersome but not intolerable because she has s balanced plan in place for me. Can't wait for my back injection today to in a week as it is time for that one too but todays pain was the priority and I am so grateful. She is a nice person and I don't want her to get so busy where you can't get in or have to wait but I also want others to know that there are options because I was ready to just give up and stay depressed before I met her and her staff. Don't let one negative review influence you. She was moving and remodeling her space which most likely had to do with her not calling back: there are times things fall thru the cracks but she is the type of person you can approach and share that experience with and she will do something to try and make sure it doesn't happen again. Most down to earth doctor I have met and she doesn't have a napoleon complex like most doctors do where they think they are prefect. That is one of her best traits and so hard to find these days. I am grateful to her for giving me back by life so I can keep up with a busy schedule as CEO of a storage company and mom to 5! If she suggests something it isn't does to profit, it's because she has a good idea it will work. If it doesn't she will change your plan and find the best options for you. I scheduled an appointment because of the positive reviews here. The doctor seemed to be very young but was nice and explained all the medications she suggested for my case. She then issued a prescription and told me there will be a follow-up appointment in a week or so to go over how the medication works for me. After a few days of not getting a pick-up notice from my pharmacy, I went there and was told by the pharmacist, that they have contacted the doctor and asked to issue an alternative prescription as the medication she prescribed had not been on the market for many months and won't be available any time soon at any pharmacy. She said that they have not heard back from them yet and that doctor's offices should know as this is not news. This is the first time a doctor of mine did not reply to a pharmacy's request. On the following Monday (10 days later and they still did not reply to my pharmacy), I contacted the office to let them know to cancel my follow-up appointment as I did not get the medication, so there obviously is nothing to follow-up on and to let the doctor know to prescribe me one of the other medications she had suggested during my last appointment. The staff member on the phone was rude and interrupted me, saying in order to get a prescription, I had to attend the appointment to tell that the doctor myself. I tried to explain to her that I already had my appointment and they need to reply to my pharmacy's request. She kept interrupting me, saying that this is their policy and I will have to have another appointment to tell that to the doctor. I have never experienced a doctor's office doing this! So I need to have an appointment to do what is their job, and to pay them for having me do their job?! I won't be going back. Another wasted day. read more

I've started seeing this doctor couple of years ago. I have severe issues with my neck(based on MRI), I've been on a medication for the last 10 years that has been working on me. I see her in the clinic every 3 month with the urine test(otherwise you won't get the medication).I saw her on Oct 27, did all the tests, my pharmacy called and said in order to send the medication they need to talk to the doctor. I've called her office every day for the last 3 weeks before I ran out of medication, they didn't do anything! They kept saying they are trying hard to get hold of my pharmacy! I called my mail in pharmacy, they said they've tried 8 to 10 times, no one responds to their call. So, after 2 weeks calling her office and talking to all the office staff, I asked to talk to the doctor today.she finally came to the phone and said"it's not my fault your pharmacy decided they need to talk to the doctor! It's not my job to facilitate that for you as a patient, this is on you, after 2 weeks you should've made another appointment with me to discuss this situation! (she basically called me stupid for trusting her office staff)! now I don't care that you ran out of medication, I don't feel comfortable sending the prescription again, go find another doctor" IThe only reason I made an appointment was to get a refill on my medication. She didn't respond to pharmacy's requirement in 3 weeks(with all the reminder calls I've made telling her in running out of medication), now after 3 weeks she wants me to pay again to discuss her office's incompetency!!! If you guys are looking for a compassionate doctor and responsible staff, she is not it! She will charge you and your insurance right away but won't take care of you as a patient. She Akari lied about doing the procedures under sedation. I specifically asked her if she does the procedures under IV sedation and she said yes. Later on I found out she will give you a Xanax!! I worked for a pain clinic for 10 years as an RN, they always should have an anesthesiologist and a nurse to do IV sedation. She is not a good person and certainly not a good doctor. Tried this doctor after relocating to CA from another state. After waiting an hour in the very small, very uncomfortable waiting area, I was called back to be interviewed by a girl who couldn't seem to comprehend what I was telling her. I had to keep correcting her so that she was writing down accurate info about my issues. Apparently, she still didn't get it right. I spent another hour waiting in an exam room for the doctor to finally show her face. She was with me for not more than 10 minutes. I felt very rushed and uncomfortable. I was sitting in a hard chair the whole time. Not once did she have me get onto the exam table. She asked me briefly about my issues, she tested 3 of my pressure points by pressing her fingers down and asking if it hurt. That was my exam. Then she asked me if I have a back brace. I said I did not. She explained to me that I would be seen every 3 months for a urine drug test and monthly by phone, not even by video, for a med renewal. She wasn't interested at all in actually trying to help me. After she left the room her assistant came back in with a cup for urine and a huge, bulky back brace. She unwrapped it and put it on herself as an attempt to show me how to use it. That whole process took 10 seconds. She didn't tell me why I should wear it or what it would help. So she gave me a back brace without seeing any imaging or reports or records or even putting her hands on me to examine my problem areas. I peed in the cup, took my back brace that I was never planning to use and got out of their as fast as I could after wasting two hours of my life that I'll never get back. Only to find out that she changed the only med combination that has worked for me and actually let me breathe for over a year without telling me. I will absolutely never go back to that dump. She definitely seems like the type of doctor who will take a 50 for a script so if that's what you want, she's your doctor. If you want actual care and functionality, look elsewhere. The one doctor who never gave up on me and all the pains I go through. I moved to California in August 2020 and was looking to establish care with all the specialists needed in order to continue my care. I've had a total of 39 surgeries and have been in extreme pains for years. Pain management was on top of the list! Started calling and making appointments with different doctors so I could start feeling relief. Fast forward I was declined by 5 pain doctors because they all claimed I was on too many pain medications and they were uncomfortable with continuing the care I'd been on for years due to California laws. When I found Dr Patel, she read my file and wanted to speak to my previous pain doctor from Minnesota and get a full understanding of what I was experiencing and dealing with. After searching for a pain management doctor who understands Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) we found Dr. Patel. Greeted by her very competent and friendly staff made the first minutes of the appointment feel relaxed. They took copious notes and listened to our medical history and answered any questions we had prior to seeing the doctor. We immediately knew her staff was familiar with CRPS, and that was not our experience with other pain management staff or doctors. Dr. Patel entered the room with command and a sense of authority with a friendly demeanor. She empathized with my granddaughter about her having CRPS and told her with confidence that her CRPS pain could be managed with a systematic approach. She explained different approaches with medicines and how they would be used to determine if pain reduction proved successful or if another approach would be needed. We could tell she had already reviewed the information her staff had just taken down and it showed us she took the time to review prior to coming in blind. Before our appointment was over, we had a plan of action with medicine prescribed and an appointment follow-up to ensure my granddaughter was beginning to see some results. One of her staff came back in the room to ask if they could do anything different to make the appointment better, now that was a first for us. I've been a patient of Dr. Patel's for almost 3 months now and it's been an awesome experience. I have some low back and neck pain issues that were getting worse and was referred by my PCP to this office. They were able to get me in the same week I called to make the appt. I'm routinely called back maybe about 10 minutes after I finish the forms and see Dr maybe 5 minutes after. I've never had so short a wait before for a Dr! Dr Patel is honestly the nicest and most competent/down to earth Dr I've ever seen. I don't feel rushed at any time during a visit. She really takes the time to listen to everything I have to say and answer all of my questions. Whenever I don't understand something she doesn't just move on like other docs I've seen but actually re-explains in different language. She goes over everything presented all of my options including things she does (injection, meds, surgery) and other options like PT, exercise, chiro, TENS, etc. More doctors need to be lilke this: not forcing things on you but actually trying to work with you to make a treatment plan you actually understand. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They work with my insurance to get authorization so quickly (get a call back within a week) and always follow up with me wheneverr they say they will.
