This pain practice has been a real blessing for my mother as she deals with cancer in her spine. The staff have been gentle, patient, and very supportive throughout her care. Dr. Ho is especially compassionate and takes time to really listen, which we didn't always experience with other pain specialists we tried. He is thorough but also efficient during follow-up visits, and he helped significantly reduce her pain with steroid injections when medications alone were not enough. Walking in before the appointment, my mom could not sit up and had to lay down on the waiting room couch. After the procedure, my mom has been able to walk short distances without her cane. If I could give zero stars, I would. If your pain issues are the result of an accident, be aware that this doctor will only see you if you sign a medical lien. That lien allows him to bill you whatever amount he chooses at the end of your settlement. After consulting with an attorney, we were advised to proceed by billing our insurance directly. When we called the office to explain that we wanted to move forward without signing a lien, we were told the doctor would not see my husband unless the lien was signed -- even though it had already been determined that treatment was needed. It's very disappointing to see that getting paid at higher, non-negotiated rates seems to be a higher priority than helping patients who genuinely need care. So much for serving the community and putting patients first. read more

This doctor soooo minimized my pain, tried to tell me it was due to alcoholic neuropathy, just because I was honest about my past? F this dude, I've had LEGIT arthritis in my neck, mfer tried to say it wasn't, the pain, due to arthritis? As I type this, f, should be talk texting, just switched, but was due to my alcohol abuse. Which no doubt, I own that shit, but it's in no way responsible for the pain. I'm feeling right now. Dude didn't prescribe anything for me, Just said to double up on the Neurontin that I was already prescribed, which did absolutely nothing to manage my pain. Dr Ho himself is amazing as a doctor, but the office stuff is short, nasty and rude. They also think it's OK to leave someone in pain for over a month that is not allowed to take any pain meds. I would have to wait a total of two months before I would get another injection that might, or might not help with my pain. I can only take ibuprofen to help me with 4 herniated discs. There is absolutely no sense of urgency or caring about the pain that their patients are in. Not much for Pain Management if you can't help manage someone's pain. read more

Dr. Ho and the Premier Painter Consultants team are fantastic! They helped me tremendously with my carpal tunnel pain. I had been suffering from the pain for months, and it was really starting to interfere with my daily life. The fingers on my right hand were completely numb and I couldn't type, cook, or even play with my kids without feeling pain shooting down my wrist. Have been seeing Dr Kwok for 21/2 months waiting for left hip replacement scheduled for October 25. Also waiting for right hip replacement with the left knee replacement not to far off. Also major L4-7 problems with my back with another painful problem he saw with an X-ray. He had barely given me Tylenol w codeine even though I repeatedly told him it wasn't cutting the pain knowing of the other issues I had. It's like he didn't care what the MRIs showed. A week before my surgery he got the new X-ray on my lower back & he prescribed 70 Hydrocodone. After the surgery the Hydrocodone were not working just keeping me up at night & causing constipation YaY. He finally called me back & explaining that he couldn't order anything else as I still had the worthless Hydrocodone. He prescribed another pill For sleeping Trazodone that doesn't put me to sleep YaY. My PT shows up today told her how miserable I was she says she will call as I was up 3 times last night took 3 Hydrocodone & 1 sleeping pill & was still in pain & hadn't slept. YaY. PT talked to assistant & haven't heard anything back. Assistant told PT well he has an appointment on November 17th! Thanks for being so concerned about me & my health & well being. He goes from giving me Tylenol w codeine having to go to his office weekly to giving me 70 Hydrocodone That Do Not Work! Thanks for Nothing! read more

Thanks to Dr. Ho, I can finally sleep without pain! Having a back problem (disc degeneration, sciatica, spinal stenosis, arthritis in the spine, you name it) is no fun for anyone who goes through it. I thought I could manage it and I have put up with the pain for many years. It was starting to disrupt my quality of life , especially my sleep. Dr Kwok has to be the worst Dr Ever. His Bedside manners are Terrible! He recommend that I get a Surgery to alleviate my Back Pain. He assured me this would remove almost all of my Pain! Wrong. It Doubled! So his suggestion on dealing with the additional pain was to take 4-8 Advil pills Per Day? His attitude was always rough and abrasive, And most of his staff follows suite. they are not very friendly, They always seem to be in a bad mood. I'm seeing a lot of 5 stars, which made me raise an eyebrow almost instantly. The staff is very polite, very professional, busy, but welcoming. Wish the doc would be as communicative as everyone in the reviews is saying though. Dr. Kwok seems to always be in a rush whenever I go in to see him, the visit is always very brief. I know this might be wrong of me to assume but, I feel that my age (26) is causing a bit of questioning in terms of how I'm treated there. Part of that assumption stems from all these 5 stars reviews. Dr. Kwok walks into the room, reads off the chart, tells u his plan, leaves. No questions asked, by either side, one side didn't get to say anything, the other side didn't have time to listen. I have a rare chronic illness that causes me so much pain I cannot live alone or do much more than simply bedrest. Because I am in a lot of constant pain, I began looking for a Pain Management Doctor. After reading the positive reviews for Dr. Ho, I decided to make an appointment with him. After the most frustrating week-long, back and forth fax issue (Dr. Ho's fax machine was broken), my mother finally made an appointment for me (I'm unable to do much). Immediately, without meeting me or knowing my illness or my pain level, etc., Dr. Ho says that he is only willing to give me the lowest dose of pain medication possible. I am currently out of my mind, nearly delusional with pain. I've been in and out of ER's not knowing what to do. However, even more confusing to me is, how a doctor could know what dosage of pain medication is appropriate for a patient he's never met and has never spoken to. I've noticed recently doctors care much more about money than patients -- hippocratic oath be damned. This is very clearly the case here with Dr. Ho. I've never been diagnosed or prescribed medication without meeting a doctor and am not interested in being treated by one who cares only about his immediate liability rather than the welfare -- the LIFE -- of a patient. read more

Due to an auto accident in 2013 I was left with a pretty messed up back, and a really large disc herniation at L5-S1. For 5ish years I hadn't experienced any pain, but for reasons unbeknownst to me came rushing in 11/2017. I tried most conservative treatments: chiropractic care, acupuncture, physical therapy, spinal decompression. Nothing was helping - honestly I couldn't even sit. Opted for an epidural, and chose Dr. Ho as my doctor. My epidural was about exactly 1 week ago, and I can't believe the difference in pain. I was taking 3600-4000mg of gabapentin per day. I was swallowing any pain killer I could find, and nothing has taken away my pain the epidural. I can defenitely still feel the pinch, and I do have the pain running down my leg. My my pain went from a debilitating 7/8 regularly to a 2/3 more regularly. The pain relief would have been good enough, but I am also a giant baby. I walked into the surgery center, they asked me to change and I started bawling. IV line in; bawling. I was so hopeful for the pain relief and so scared it may not work I couldn't control my emotions. The nurses, the doctors, Dr. Ho - EVERYONE treated me like their sister or their daughter. I will be forever thankful for Dr. Ho and his staff. I will definitely be returning. read more

The wait time to see the doctor is 5-10 minutes from the time you walk in, plus with covid they offer a lot of virtual visits. The office staff is very friendly and proficient. The medication he recommended has been great in reducing the pain. I was able to get an MRI fairly quickly and rule out other causes. Overall great experience and happy to be a patient there! My mom recently had a compression fracture in her vertebrae due to a fall, and her primary doctor referred her to see Dr. Ho. When I called to make an appointment, the staff helped relay the urgency to Dr. Ho and scheduled my mom to see him in a few days. She was in a lot of pain (10 on the pain scale), and Dr. Ho recommended kyphoplasty. My mom had a similar procedure done years ago, so she knew this procedure would be helpful. Dr. Ho explained to my mom that she might feel some pain and pressure during the procedure and all the possible side effects. He told my mom that he could do the procedure the next day as long as her primary doctor consented. Thankfully, her primary doctor responded right away, and Dr. Ho was able to schedule my mom's procedure on the following day. Dr. Ho was gentle and sympathetic toward my mom. He was sorry that she experienced some pain and pressure during the procedure, but he told us that the procedure went very well. My mom has no pain today (0 on the pain scale) and no signs of side effects. We are so thankful for Dr. Ho and his professionalism. My mom is 84 years old, and she has regained her independence. We highly recommend Dr. Ho to anyone suffering from compression fractures and back pain. read more

Great! I've been a patient for a couple years now getting epidurals for chronic back pain. It is effortless and painless. Usually I'm in and out in less than 30 minutes. Both doctors and staff are wonderful. I usually see Dr. Ho but have seen Dr. Kwok for an emergency when Dr. Ho was not in the office. They are both kind and caring with genuine concern for relieving my pain. I can't give the staff enough praise. If I call on a Friday afternoon at 4:45 with a question or concern. They will respond before they go home. They are always prompt to answer the phone and rarely if ever have I been put on hold for a length of time. If they say they will call me back they always do so the same day. It's wonderful! They are friendly and extremely reliable. I love it! Just look at all the great reviews!
