so why is it not not perfect but what I think is wonderful is they have Ricardo Guzman working for them and he is very personable very human and at the same time very fair getting to the bottom of any issue with an open mind. Very willing to learn from my steps and anxious to correct and improve. Communication with the workers that came to my home was a little bit of a problem. I didn't feel completely comfortable with. Some of the process could've been done differently following protocol so that we did not have our job set back several days. The bottom line is that at least from Ricardo Guzman their representative in our was never less than pushy kept his word made everything right and that's rare and . They not only met that bid at the same price they made special arrangements to start earlier like I needed. Couple things that happen caused us to retest, but there wasn't even any question complaint or argument that their company paid for the retest. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY JJ&S ARE THE WORST. AGAIN DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. This is a terrible company. They didn't even finish their work and they invoiced the insurance company for full payment of over $6000. They coerced us into signing a waiver in order for them to remove their machines from the work area in the bathroom after they had left stating to the insurance company they were done with the job and got paid. The Asbestos company could not test because the area of the abatement was not prepared for the final abatement test (was not completely cleaned and sealed). Now they say their work is done they do not have to come back out to complete the restoration. After the many issues and going back and forth they did come out again did the final testing preparation. read more

as a GC, i have used JJS for about 7 years. in that time they have proven to be onetime, professional, and know their business. sometimes in my business i will find a subcontractor and they will start off good but as time goes on, they slip into a state of adequacy. JJS never does that, it seems their motto must be "we are only as good as our last job" i say that because each job i feel like its their most important job. on one job many years ago, they made a mistake and forgot to cut one wall. to make it up they went out the next day, cut it, arranged testing same day and it passed. they really are a great company. don't waste you time searching, call JJS. read more

***Buyer Beware*** Please read before you consider this company. I hired this company to do part 1 of my abatement on my bathroom. They started out great and came in with great communication. After they did the abatement the testing company informed me they failed the test as there was still signs of asbestos. That's when they stopped the communication. I reached out and they advised they did need to come back and do more work to pass testing. I could no longer reach the supervisor who gave me his card. They came back unannounced the next day and I let them continue the job. They passed after that day. I decided after that I would get other companies to provide quotes on my next bathroom and that's when things got ugly. My insurance company advised they had companies that could do the work for half this companies price and if hired I could keep the remaining balance. I informed JJ&S of this and they said no problem they already were paid and would refund me for work not started which was over 7K. I get a call later saying the CEO decided they would keep $1K if I did not use them on phase 2. When I asked where it stated this in our contract I would get no response. I asked for weeks for money back but due to delays and wanting to finish my bathroom rebuild I finally agreed to allow them to do phase 2 at a reduced price but getting a refund was also delayed as everyone works remote and you are not allowed to speak to anyone direct. After they were done I decided to let others know how they run their business. Overpriced and once they get their money they act differently. read more

Joe was super responsive, went out of his way to answer all of our questions, and even came in on a Saturday to personally set a dehumidifier that the crew from the emergency dry-out company failed to set when they said they would. Great job. Was hard to find a company that did this type of work. Yani was recommended to me by a bathroom contractor. Over the phone, Yani explained clearly how they would remove the mold and asbestos problem I was having. I told Yani that time was of the essence as the mold was causing me some health symptoms. Yani worked hard to start and finish the project as soon as possible which I appreciated. Also, Yani worked hard to keep the costs down. He could have knocked out an additional wall adjoining to my other background, but he said he would see if he could remove the mold without doing that and he was able to, saving me money. Some people might have knocked other walls out and told me it was necessary. I appreciate the honesty from Yani and working in my best interests. The mold issue required a test by law that costs around $1000. Yani called around for me to find the most expensive mold tester around that was $750.
